You might also want to try cypress vine. It is a fast growing annual(30 feet per year) that readily reseeds itself and the hummingbirds love it. I have some that grows up the rail of my deck every year and it is incredibly beautiful. The foliage looks like a cypress tree, very lacy and delicate. I would cover the arbor in no time. Once I got it established, I never had to replant. Here are some pics but this really doesn't do this plant justice. The flowers are bright red and open every morning, close up at night. Again no fragrance, so no bees. There are white and pink varieti

Probably wouldn't grow to cover it for a couple of years. I would think you would need more than four, just in case. LOL Look at this and see what you think. Some sites say it is evergreen, mine is not in Yorkville. But the leaves do come out very early in the spring.

I agree with SS, your yard is gorgeous. I know you have spent a lot of time and effort to make it look so nice. Guess it's not hard to root these, just let me know if you'd like some. The only negative thing I can think of with the Banksia Rose is there is absolutely no fragrance. But because there is no smell there are also no bees. We tried to grow Bougainvillea but it wouldn't live through our winters.

I have a beautiful Lady Banks Rose. You are welcome to come get as many cuttings as you like, eventually I want it to cover the gazebo. It is thornless, not really a climber, just spreads with long branches. It only blooms in the spring but the foliage is small and attractive. I haven't noticed any bees around it either. Whoops I posted one pic twice and I don't know how to get rid of it LOL

I think it was MrsJackRussell that coined the rain "Holy Water". Can't get those vitamins through the hose hooked up to the house. The well is much better but still not the same as that Holy Water.

Looks like it will be mild and short!! End of the week looks like we might get some more storms.
-
LOL Funny how that works.

When I had my surgery on my shoulder the doctor told me to use petroleum jelly on the wound. Don't know if it will help with the pain but it will keep germs out and help it heal faster. Neosporin makes an ointment with a mild pain killer.

Significant Weather Advisory for Paulding, GA

I just gave up and used the cast iron grill pan on the stove..............I tried. -
While I was out doing errands this morning, I noticed the blackberries are blooming. As usual when the blackberries bloom the weather turns cool. The National Weather Service is calling for cooler temps next week.

Nope, pool is much warmer now anyway. I think the snakes are going to be bad this year, everyone needs to be careful. We have already seen at least 3 here at the house. Hoping none end up in the pool skimmer, that would really be YIKES!!!

So I open the door from the office to go in the warehouse and there is a huge black snake there to greet me!!! Scared me half to death, he was about 5 feet long. Thank goodness he wasn't poisonous, just a harmless rat snake. He got up under a pallet of stone and hubby couldn't get him to come out so he just got the pallet jack and took the entire pallet out to the parking lot. I'm glad he's safely out of our warehouse and able to eat all the rats and gophers he wants.........outside.

Aren't there a couple at Crossroads?? We used to kind of consider that New Hope. Maybe not New Hope, my bad, but there are many in Paulding County.

Yikes, another Mexican restaurant. Just kidding, hope they do well. I wish we'd get a good Italian Restaurant closer than Cedarcrest.

This is nothing new, it has been this way for about 10 years. I don't think it affects campfires, unless there is a fire danger. We just can't burn the tree limbs we cut off (unless we put them in the campfire ) or trash. Builders cannot burn any construction debris. We can start over again and smoke up the air after September 30th.

Ummm, is that thing cordless or does it come with strings??? As a matter of fact, I happen to know I am left eyed............found out when I couldn't hit the target on the barn. Missed the whole barn.

Here's a picture of the one I was looking for. It might be a left handed cordless screwdriver, but I'm not sure.

I have plenty of left handed screwdrivers, they're sometimes difficult to find. I have been looking for a cordless screwdriver, any body have one of those???

Good thing Gog8tors and her hubby were close enough to throw them over there. And thank you for providing the much needed napkins. Oh and thanks to Blazing Saddles for turning the laptop around. And LPPT, you are the most conservative liberal I have ever met.

I don't live far from the airport. I have noticed a little increase in small aircraft over the past year. I realize things are not yet complete and it could increase more. For the most part this air traffic is only during day light hours. I have lived here since 1983 and love it here but we do need some industry. We need to attract businesses other than retail to this area. When I first moved here I worked in Atlanta, it was 1 1/2 hour commute every day. If my kids were sick at school I couldn't get to them for at least an hour. I struggled with this every day. My husband an
