  1. Thanks southernScarlett, it was beautiful. And thanks for sharing the great pic!! I can't get pics of the moon, it actually looks smaller when I snap it. How do you do that???
  2. Yep, happens all the time. The county did not want us to withdraw. The guys at planning and zoning wanted us to move forward anyway. This was about 10 years ago, before the Airport was built. After I spoke to a couple of the neighbors, we decided the time wasn't right, perhaps some time in the future. It's not like the property was going anywhere. We did lose $600.00 for the zoning application but in the long run it was the right thing to do.
  3. Been there, done that. The neighbors didn't want our business there, we withdrew our zoning request. The land still sits empty, perhaps it was a good thing. It's only 1 mile from the Airport. It really did happen. Why would you "hope not"?
  4. I am not pissed off about anything, I'm thinking you're the angry one. I think their insensitivity is very telling.............I'm just saying. This is after all about the same Constitutional Amendment. I believe it might be the first one.
  5. Keep in mind the same constitution that gives them the right to build there also gives us the right to protest the building of the Memorial. I will say again, they have every right to build anything they want..........but the insensitivity to those that oppose it (for what ever reason) is not conducive to building good relationships with their fellow Americans. The religion of peace and understanding appears to be very blind to compassion. Just as some of us tried to warn you about the Chicago Thug being elected to the highest office in the USA, we are again giving you a heads up on th
  6. I agree with this statement. Remember you end up paying one way or another. Taxes pay the government's attorneys, you pay yours. Aren't they the one's that actually win in the long run??
  7. Wow, a blast from the past!! Hey Moosie ~~~waving~~~
  8. Somehow I don't think he has. How many other buildings in that area are more than 15 stories?? Wonder what you will be able to see from the top floor?? Maybe the actual site where the trade towers stood?? I guess you might call it an eagle eye view.
  9. Perhaps, there may be strings attached. I think several folks are still reeling from the meeting this morning. LOL
  10. I heard a Pee Wee Herman doll is worth lots these days. I threw my kid's out after he was arrested, durn it.
  11. We get a portion of $3.4 billion. Wonder if Paulding County will see any?? Fox News Story
  12. Insensitivity is universal. A 15 story building is a Monument, not a church. They have already said only a small portion of it will be for worship. It's a "community center". I hope and pray no one ever succeeds in a mass killing that involves your family members or those close to you.
  13. Interesting segment happening now. Boyd Austin is speaking.
  14. It's a shame this body of water is so neglected. I would think it could be a great resource.
  15. Why won't you address the fact that they won't even discuss a different location?? And yes, you are building that Mosque by endorsing the lack of compassion. Did those Muslims that perished become martyrs in the name of Allah??? You are supporting and helping the jihads build the monument to those that flew the planes in to the WTC on 9/11. If Islam is a religion of love and peace, they should be compassionate.
  16. Yes they have the right to build anywhere they want, it is guaranteed by our constitution. The fact they refuse to discuss any other location makes it politically motivated, not of religious nature. The are too self serving to worry about the people that have heavy hearts. Using the voting right comparison is like apples and oranges, but I could not vote for any politician that was responsible to taking the lives of 3000 people.
  17. No, I don't deny their right to build the Mosque..........I just wish they had some compassion for those families that lost loved ones. Regardless of what their space needs are they won't even discuss a different location. This tells me it has nothing to do with religion, but rather politically motivated triumph. I believe most other faiths would take the heavy hearts of those that lost loved ones in to consideration. You are doing what the Jihadist's want, using our very own constitution to build their monument.
  18. I love night swimming this time of year. Warm days keep the water like a bath and cool evenings make it feel like it's been heated. Enjoy your evening dips CC!! They don't last long like this.
  19. When religions cease to be compassionate, they are politically motivated.
  20. The sadness in your heart is nothing compared to the people that lost loved ones on 9/11. Like you their hearts are heavy, not because they are politically motivated but because they feel SOME PEOPLE of Muslim faith are using our laws to build a memorial to the people that flew those planes in to the Twin Towers. The people that want to build this are inconsiderate and cold to the people that oppose this. If they were true loving people of Faith, any faith, they would take those feelings to heart. They have no compassion!!! They can build a Mosque any where they want but they chose t
  21. Be very careful, there is lots of trash, rocks and snakes all along the creek. It's also not very full this time of year, when you planning on going??
