My younger brother and I have different Dad's, Jessica Lee is his niece. Her mom Shelly is his sister by his Dad. It's such a very sad heartbreaking situation. He goes to college and lives in Tifton, so he has had a hard time not being able to be there for Jessica, Shelly and the rest of the family. My heart aches for Shelly, as a Mom I cannot imagine facing the reality of losing my child. I hope that you guys had a good turnout Saturday. It's wonderful to see to so many people supporting this young girl!

Lauri Goode @ Energy Hair Studio in Hiram. Just saw her this past weekend. She is amazing and very talented. I'm a licensed stylist, I don't work in a salon anymore...long story short..I chose another career path...Anyway, what I'm getting at is I'm uber picky. And she impressed me!

Oh good googly moogly. I just might have peed my pants if that had happened to me!

Christian intrigues me I guess. I haven't finished the whole trilogy so I'm just learning more about his screwed up past and mind. His need for power and control. Why he is the way he is. Anastasia makes me wanna slap her sometimes. She needs to grow a backbone. It's certainly not the worst series I've ever read, but it's not the best either. Plus, reading the description of him in those torn up jeans make me think of my hubby and a ripped up pair of old Levi's he wears. Hubba hubba

Didn't know there was a new one. Is it a coffee shop also?

I'm on the 2nd book of 50 Shades, I personally like the series. In The Garden Trilogy by Nora Roberts is really good. It's not just a romance trilogy. It's got ol' southern charm, suspense, drama..etc. The 3 books are Blue Dahlia, Black Rose and Red Lily. It's a few years old, but it was a great read. The Plantation by Dorothea Benton-Frank or Frank-Benton (can't remember which way her last name is). Anything by Nicholas Sparks is good. There's so many...really depends on what you are looking for. If you like historical type fiction, Ken Follet is a a wonderful au

I just wish that FB would stop recommending my husband's ex as a friend. No thanks...think I'll pass.

I'm with you on the year round school!

I don't think it was Comcast. We have ATT Uverse, and our screen went green for a few. We also only had sound. But it only lasted a couple minutes.

I shop online more than I do in retail stores. So many of them offer coupon codes that can be used online and in store and many offer free shipping with codes. I always use RetailMeNot.com to search for codes before buying anything. Many times you can combine more than one code.

The Cotton Pickin' Fair in Gay, GA is coming up in early October. It's HUGE. Little bit of a drive, but it's worth it. They also do it again in May.

When I met with my attorney last Friday, there has been a recent (within the last year) change in the law regarding income deduction orders. It can no longer be taken from the employees salary and sent to the other parent directly. It now has to go to a third party state agency - ie. like Child Support Enforcement. Which IMO is a bunch of incompetent idiots. Very bad experience with the people, from losing my case documents, to taking months to schedule hearing, etc. Finally, I decided to "fire" them and hire a private attorney. Anyway, when CSE receives payment for you...even if you hav

I can recommend lawjamesq.com Jody Miller, Attorney at Law. I wish I had used her when I got divorced. I'm now using her for child support modification and enforcement. She's in Atlanta. Close to the Galleria. She is a short little thing, but she means business. She was not cheap, but came highly recommended from a coworker. I doubt with your friend making $13 that she will qualify for Caps or foodstamps. As for child support, the easiest way to calculate the responsiblity of the non custodial parent is to go by the Georgia Worksheet that the attorneys use (so at least she can get

Hubby was on his way home and across from Jump for Joeys, apparently some genius in a dump truck ripped 100 ft or so of cable line down. Thus, no cable at home. Tonight is college football kick-off and he's freaking out about no ESPN on the tele tonight (who knows when they will get it back up). So...if you are in that area, have no cable and wanna watch the game...Hooter's in Hiram is showing it via satellite.

Soft scrambled with LOTS of cheese.

Hai Hai is good...but not amazing. Taki isn't bad either. But I have yet to find one I like as well as Kani House in Woodstock. Their dragon rolls are amazing. Great...now my mouth is watering for sushi!

We are moving Saturday. We have already taken 80% of our stuff over to the new house, so the furniture and what's left shouldn't take long. I plan on having everything unpacked, hung and put away by Sunday morning. I don't do living out of boxes. By Sunday afternoon, I plan on parking my toosh on a float in the pool ( ) in my new backyard with an ice cold beer in my hand.

I'll be there at 10. Maybe we will cross paths!

Pinterest is a great place to find family friendly, easy and free recipes. I also like The Country Cook. It's a blog, and she updates it just about daily with easy recipes. Here's one that my young girls & teenage stepson love. It's not all that healthy, but kids devour it. Brown a couple lbs. of ground beef and season with taco seasoning. Set to the side. Take a family size bag of nacho cheese Doritos and spread them out in a casserole dish. Spread the ground beef over the Doritos. Then take a big block of Velveeta cheese, cube up, pour in a little milk and microwave until

Thanks everyone for your recommendations! I ended up making an appointment at Energy Hair Studio. I was torn between them and Allon. It's close to me, and they use Lanza products/color which is what my current stylist has been using. Reading up on their bios, education and review on their FB page as well, I decided to go with them. I actually used one of the others recommended in this thread about 4 or 5 years ago and I was not impressed. The hi's and low's bled together and I ended up with an ugly brassy/coppery mess. I guess it's all in personal tastes. But again, thank you all!
