  1. Madea Why don't you stop by Sara Babb Park this evening and meet Will. You don't have to reveal yourself, unless you want to. Ask him your questions face to face and see what he has to say. He is really a very bright young man and has been familiar with all of the issues I have brought up with him. What have 'ya got to lose ?
  2. No, this was Virginia Galloway and Jerry Shearin knocking on doors downtown, trashing Davis Austin and the BOC for the horrendous tax increase which resulted in 75% or more of the Paulding tax payers seeing a decrease in their taxes this year. Sad, truly sad that there are former elected officials out there spreading falsehoods and downright lies.
  3. Oh you are hitting my soft spot with this one. For the past 25+ years, we have let it all slide. We take our "Best and Brightest" now out of school and instead of putting them to work designing the widgets the world does not even know if needs, and getting them built to be sold, we put them at a computer terminal and pay them to beat the system and make artificial money. As a result, we have indeed lost our leadership as the worlds manufacturer. Thank God we still have our agricultural might and still supply much of the worlds protein in Chicken, Beef, and Pork not to mention our grain
  4. No, not weird at all. Will is very much a Blue Dog Democrat. Running as one because he cannot bring himself to run as a Yellow Dog Republican. The parties in the south have reversed themselves these past 25 years. Where we had nothing but Dems for 100 years, now the local GOP has us with nothing but Repubilicans instead, and not even a Yellow Dog can run otherwise. Thank God Will decided to get into this race to give us a viable alternative come November. Instead of bashing, why don't you come out to the party tomorrow evening and meet Will Avery for yourself instead of following t
  5. And I got a message from some folks under the Gold Dome today that Jerry Shearin and Virginia Galloway had been there recently politicking on Paulette's behalf. Must have just been a coincidence huh? They were beating the Tom Melanese drum about the millage rate increase. Jerry and company are VERY much involved in this race. If Paulette loses they are out. And I hope the door does not hit them too hard in the butt on their way out. They screwed up the county bad enough. Time for them to be gone once and for all.
  6. Will is wanting to discuss the topics in an open moderated forum. Paulette has already turned down the Chamber Debate, so he has thrown his hat in the ring to several other debates. As I recall, Jason Anivitarte had numerous "press releases" which were posted on p.com. And it is newsworthy to let the voters know when any such debates will be held. Will Paulette come out and participate, or just lay low ? Time will tell.
  7. From the other side of that same coin NG, there are alot of us who know Paulette and what she stands for and has stood for better than we like to remember from days past. I will take my chances with Will any day of the week over what I know about Paulette. I did not see any debate between Paulette and Will. Maybe Pubby has something.
  8. Who arranged for Jim Galloway for the other one ?
  9. Apology accepted! Chopped Liver?! You would always be at the top of the p.com staff list to invite to anything But I figured we needed to let Pubby know about it anyway
  10. Makes stopping here irrelevant then. If you get the hint. Not enough cans, plastic or paper to make it worthwhile. Glass bottles on the other hand we could fill you bin quickly. Do you work with Tommy at the recycling center or what ?
  11. I am the older house with the metal roof on the far west side of Palisades. We can see some of the houses off Carruth in the winter.
  12. I suggest you speak with the fellow in your office shaped like me but with a lot less hair. I spoke with him this morning and specifically mentioned you by name to accompany him. Or you could have your normal driver bring you.
  13. What about Glass ? Wine bottles, and beer bottles when son is around.
  14. The bottom fell out here for a good 10-15 minutes, raining hard. South of 278 between Bill Carruth and Cadillac. The grass is turning green before my eyes.
  15. Come on down and join us SG!! Whether you are in the 19th or not does not matter especially for those active on p.com who walk around with their eyes open and want to be involved. You and your posts have always been well respected on p.com. It is kind of like the Post Commissioners; you can't vote for Will, but he would still be representing you as a citizen and taxpaying voter of Paulding County. Any and all political donations will gladly be accepted by Will's treasurer, but the Brunswick Stew will still be free. I know Pubby has been invited, and I think plans to
  16. I agree as well. It would be nice if we could get some non-aligned moderators to host the debates. I know there is one set for the Chamber. I would like to see 2 or 3 and maybe one somewhere on the weekend where some of our transient workforce might could attend.
  17. Mrs Surepip and I will be there. I am bringing Cole Slaw and my world famous Brunswick Stew. By all means come and join us and take this opportunity to meet and talk with Will Avery. Partisan politics aside, all are welcome to attend.
  18. I have to disagree. For many years I have done a fair amount of business in most of the Mid-East countries, as well as Trinidad in the Carribean and various parts of Asia. I was still actively running my manufacturing business when 9/11 occurred. We received emails, faxes, and phone calls from most of our Moslem customers from around the world expressing their sadness over the events and those who carried it out. They apologized for the actions of the terrorists and many asked that we in the USA not to blame all Moslems as result of the actions of a tiny sect of extremists. ALL
  19. There will be a Campaign Kick Off Party for Will Avery, District 19 State Representative Candidate Thursday evening, September 9th from 5:00 to 7:30 at Sara Babb Park on East Memorial Drive in Dallas. That is the park with the entrance next to the Library between downtown Dallas and New Hope. For those wanting to meet and speak with Will Avery and discuss the concerns of the voters and the issues involving the 19th District, this will be a good opportunity for you to do so in an open and relaxed atmosphere. For anyone unaware, this is Glenn Richardson's former Legislature seat occupied
  20. Sounds like it could be fun. What are the fees to enter, and or to spectate ? And when are they going to do it again ? Paulding Meadows is this weekend.
  21. They have been bagging trash on 278 this week between Hiram and Dallas.
  22. We had close to 100 years of Yellow Dog Democrats in the south. Still recovering from the Republican Reconstruction of the South, no one could get elected to anything if they were not a Democrat. And it was totally based on lingering memories of the Civil War and its aftermath. So now we have Yellow Dog Republicans doing the same thing today in Paulding County. Supporting the "R", just because there is no way in hell they will support a "D", even if the "D" is a far superior choice for the district 19 seat. And this comes after 2 rather piss poor previous "R" holders of that seat up f
