No Ma'am! No bashing at all. Just confirmation of FACTS I stated earlier in the campaign as to whom Paulette's handlers were. I have stated all along how Richardson, Shearin, Galloway, et al were backing Paulette, and I was called out on those statements. Then I was backed up by others who encountered Shearin taking Paulette around the country introducing her to certain people. And Galloway and Paulette had their Americans for Prosperity get together. And now Richardson has sent her a $2400 donation.

No difference at all, except for those who have been saying Richardson, Shearin, Galloway, et al are not backing Paulette. Kind of sheds a different light on who is indeed wanting her in this seat. The local GOP hiearchy has been calling the shots here for many years, and she is their pick for this race, or at least their 2nd pick. Many have been saying this is the group behind her, and her posse on P.com has denied this fact. But if you follow the money it is evident who her backers are. And Richardson's law firm is still providing the county with our legal representation at the BOC

Like where? Maybe at Audrey's Cafe ? I am sure all the Georgia Politcal Powers that Be will be sure to come and attend.

Small world. The Maloof family was instrumental in bringing many facets together in the 1960s and 1970s while Atlanta went through it's growing up period. Almost a Catholic institution unto themselves they were at the cutting edge of desegregation. Manuel's brother was the coach at St Pius High School for what seemed like a generation or more and was known for his a-political stance. Too bad they are now seen as subversive. And here we are so many years later and the Maloofs are now seen as a hotbed of anti-Republican activity. But then again, those were the days when the KKK and oth

Forgotten Insurance Fraud Indictment Forgotten Domestic Violence Arrest Forgotten Voting Record for 8 out of 8 Tax Increases Forgotten Civil Litigation by Xerox no less, for more than $800,000 In case you have forgotten, more than 50% of the voters in the last presidential election did indeed vote for Obama. I would take a wild-ass guess that in interviewing for a campaign mananger position for Will, the subject of Obama never came up, and if it did, it is irrelevant to Golden's experience with what is involved in running a campaign. As Golden himself stated, he has no part in formulati

Depends on the time of the year. Gordon's Gin and tonic during the summer, and dirty martinis on the rocks in the winter. A mixed redwine we do, cold, in the spring and fall. Kir [a Cava, or other sparkling white wine with Rasberry liquer] Margaritas

I know it's still early but...what's for dinner?
surepip replied to jennilyn77's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Lamb Shish-Kabobs with garden bell peppers and sweet onion, basmati rice, homemade pita breads, tzeki sauce and a greek salad. Might have an onion soup with lamb stock depending on which kids show up for dinner. I got a deal on 3 lamb shoulders earlier in the week. Son came over Thursday and actually helped my bone them out. We made 11 pounds of kabobs [bagged 9 pounds in seal-a-meal bags], and made a couple of pounds of lamb meatballs out of the little scraps. Then made 4 quarts of stock from the bones. We don't waste anything but the squeel, oink, or baaaaa around here. -
Oh give me a break NG!! You are one of Paulette's few remaining posse members out there trying to find ANY little scrap of ANYTHING to throw at Will. So his campaign manager, who is a good personal buddy and has experience in the number crunching side of helping to run a campaign was an Obama supporter whilst a student at Emory. Which to you is a mortal sin and reason to throw out the baby with the bath water. While Paulette's entire campaign committee is the radical bunch of vapid neo-conservatives [RINOs] who have been the leaders of the local GOP group for the past 10+ years?

Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa. I still think it is improper for a partner in THE FIRM [which is paid for providing the county attorney], who is no longer a sitting politician, to donate like that. But, on the other hand, I was actually expecting it to me more than $2400.

I've been waiting to see if some of the Richardson MWM PAC money would show up in the District 19 Race. MWM PAC, the one Richardson transfered all his money into last year not following State Ethic's Rules, has made a substantial donation to Paulette. Richardson had the Ethic's Commission Hearing on the transfer of the money a couple of months ago and got a $500 fine/slap [or tap] on the wrist. But it does bother me a bit that one of the Principle's at the County Attorney Law Firm is donating money to a candidate in this race. Seems out of place. But hey, this is Paulding County, a

NG What question has he not answered ? Or are you just enjoying kicking the dead horse ?
-
I have met Steven Golden, who I believe is the campaign manager, along with several other bright young folks who are part of what I guess you could call Will's "Brain Trust", but I don't know who, if any of them might be MrPolitics. Whitey, myself, and several other "older" folks have also been involved with Will's campaign efforts. I was in touch with Will earlier and obtained the information I posted above direct from him. He was not near a computer.
-
NG, He answered you direct, twice. Yet you continue on with the same question ? I will suggest to Mr Avery that he update his bio on his website. He has not "quit" school, nor has he given up teaching. He has taken a sabbatical from both for the election cycle, and for the Spring Semester so he will be available to work as our Representative full time. Do you possibly have a different question now ?
-
I may we wrong, but I believe Will has stated on p.com before that he was not attending Fall Semester in order to politic. He was a student, and was teaching courses when he qualified the end of April. He finished the Spring and Summer Semesters, and is on Sabbatical from teaching and finishing up his Masters. He answered your question twice. JohnnyJ reiterated his first reply, and I have reposted both his replied in this thread. I suggest startiing a new topic or go back and modify your topic title unless you are intend on continuing to kick a dead horse. Will has replied to s

So far this year, the Falcons have shown they are indeed a TEAM. Seems every game 3 or 4 obscure players step up to the plate and get the job done. ALL of the games have been intense, and too close for comfort, but exciting to watch. For one who still remembers the Rankin Smith days of lose, lose, choke, and lose; watching the 2010 Falcons is fun. You know they are not going to choke and fold. Down 14-0 in the 1st quarter, and coming back to win with 2 ticks remaining on the clock is about as close as they come. And like you, I would like to see them whoop Vick's butt and send him and

How did he not satisfactorily reply ? Last I heard, Will completed the summer semester still working on his Masters, but is not currently a "student", nor has he been one since the summer semester finished. He took a sabbatical from teaching, and taking classes in order to politic full time instead. I believe he has 1 semester remaining before he completes his Master's Program which I believe he plans to complete summer or fall of 2011. For what it is worth though, I believe Paulette is currently enrolled and taking class[es ?] at KSU. So to reply to your question: "No, Wi

Garlic and other herbs and spices can help hide the lack of salt to the taste buds. Picante [spicy] also reduces the desire for more salt.

I believe the answer to your question would be neither. The SPLOST on the General Election Ballot is for the BOE, and the BOE only. What the BOC is stating is unless the county can get some state funding for this road, it will have to be paid for from the SPLOST approved last July. Scott Green and PDOT have a pretty good track record on obtaining grants and other state [and Federal] funding, but with the current status of the economy that could be more difficult than in times past.
-
NG, Sounds like you are the one getting upset. You asked a question. Will answered it, twice. I presume his intro sentance where he states he was working as a surveyor confused you ? So he replied again: And yet you still keep kicking the dead horse. Will has come onto p.com, best I can tell, and answered every question asked of him. Move on to a new topic why don't 'ya ? Paulette has avoided all speaking engagements and offers of debate, AND any known presence on p.com. We know nothing of her stance on anything other than "I am a Tea Party Conservative".

Are you Paulette's Mom ?
-
You and 71% of the voters did not vote for Shearin. Paulette and her 8 years of BOE tax increases is from THAT same group of JS Republican politicians.

SO ROY BARNES ACCOUNTANT MISSED $7000........
surepip replied to lowrider's topic in Paulding County NEWS
WSB showed copies of the return, and the piece of property which was in error was along the same strip of land where he does own a bunch of different parcels. They missed the address of the one in question. A relatively honest mistake, and the IRS is generally very lenient on those. And even more so if the amended return also picks up another error 4 times larger in Barnes' favor. At least he didn't forget a $2million dollar loan due next month that according to Deal's own records he does not have the assests to cover. And Roy paid one hell of a tax bill. Deal paid "chump chang -
True but sad that it is hard to get a lot of good done under the Gold Dome. But, that said, it will not take that much effort to modify the qualifications on the tier system rating to allow Paulding a better rating instead of penalizing us because we abut Cobb and have over 100,000 citizens. All that would be required is an additioanl qualification that if you abutted a county like Cobb, had over 100,000 people AND had an industrial tax base of less than 25% you could get the top tier rating making economic development grants available. Some of Will's other ideas have some support in

At this stage of the election, what we need is a massive "tell your neighbors, tell your relatives and tell your friends" to at least take the time to get on p.com and check out the candidates. With less than 3 weeks to go, we need to get the attention of those voters who otherwise will just vote the "R". I seriously doubt we will see or hear much if anything from Paulette between now and November 2nd.
