    I haven't seen the plans and I don't know if they are complete, but if your parents are on Pool I don't think the bridge will be on their property.

     

    I can't say where I get my info but it is from a reliable source. That being said, it doesn't mean that everything will not change again. There have been either 3 or 4 proposed routes and at least three different land acquirement dates.

     

    The ridiculous part is that the road was obsolete when it was first presented three or four years ago. If it has any effect on the 278 traffic, it will simply be to move the start of the back up from 92 to Cleburne Parkway. I think it's another waste of taxpayer money

     

     

    I am sorry to disappoint you, but your information is incorrect. I suggest you call DOT before posting anything else concerning this project.

    Right now it's back on the drawing board. EPA wouldn't allow the DOT to build the road through the "wetland" (aka: swamp) so now they are designing a bridge for the area between 92 and Morris Road. Property purchases are scheduled for Fall 2008, but that has changed three or four times already.

    well i did it i got the $10 DSL deal with bellsouth...boy it is great....$10 man you can not beat that

     

     

    Hey! I did too. It's fast enough for us considering we were on dial up.

     

    I found out about it from Clark Howard. You really have to search AT & T website, but its there.

    Surprisingly, all the above issues are being addressed at many levels. County, State and Federal DOT's are all involved, this is not just a County thing. The County is sponsoring this, and the folks you will talk to at the meeting are from a consulting company. Some of these projects are not expected to be funded for another 15 to 20 years, but some are already underway.

     

    Come to the meeting and see what's going on! Lots of information to see!!!!!

    I live right past Dabbs Bridge. I was driving home yesterday just thinking how you never know when it is your time. You have to wonder what they were thinking about what, where they were going, etc and then suddenly in the blink of an eye, it all changed. As I got closer to Dabbs, I cringed and my heart just broke. My boys could see the glass and other debris in the road.

     

    I am so sorry for all the family and friends for their loss, especially her child.

    As long as the "Good Ole Boy" network is in full operation, nothing will change. -_-

     

     

    With an attitude like that and you NOT going to the meeting and voicing an opinion then things won't change. That's why they are having these meetings, to get the opinions of the taxpayers.

    Sorry, didn't realize the TONK was such a big deal..... I am not "educated" on what the TONK is. Didn't realize I was being so uncool..... B) BTW, Rev and I are friends, I was not AT ALL making assumptions, simply asking a question, again please note...not trying to be uncool......

    Can't talk about what happens in the Tonk while in the cafe - otherwise the thread that is in the cafe that mentions what happens in the Tonk will get thrown in the Tonk, therefore leaving making this thread null and void, in a sense.

    Think about the kids and how they feel having to deal with this everyday. I would have freaked out in school if a guy could come in our locker room or bathroom.

     

    What has our society and world come too! Our country is in dire straits.

    She always comments to me about what I say that day or week so I decided to give her something to look at

    This happened behind my house in our pasture!!!! I looked out the back door and their were firetrucks, ambulances, sheriff cars. Thankfully my 89 year old grandmother didn't see it all. My cousin has a couple of roll off dumpsters beside the barn. Of course, I didn't know an old gas tank was in it.

     

    The kids that live next door are constantly on our property. We caught them back in the summer stealing bikes, baseballs, footballs. We keep our garage door cracked for my little Min Pin during the day. They didn't know my husband was home because he was parked in the garage. They were trying to crawl under the garage door!!!!

    My dad and Harry started Paulding Realty years ago. I have always held a special place in my heart for him and Martha. I just talked to him a couple of months ago about some land he had listed. He was telling me how he was going to beat this cancer.

     

    I will miss seeing him out at the different functions.

    My gosh and I have locks on my TV according to the ratings of shows. Looks like we got a bigger problem in our schools.

     

    I know that kids are "curious", because I was. The only way I experienced any thing like that was by sneaking in Porky's the movie and watching it with the volume turned down in my room. I was in the 7th grade!!!!

     

    I hate to know that my son can possibly go to a dance and get a lap dance. I hear the going thing is kids meeting at the movies, they don't have "s*x" but they do the other.

     

    Also, if I was the mother of that child that the admin did the booty dance on....I'd show her what my "booty dance" was! She wouldn't have nothing to shake cause I'd beat the breaks off of her!!! :angry:
