  1. Me too. I can't stand the heat so listening to Christmas music, stopping by Hobby Lobby to look at the fall decorations (they are just starting to put a few Christmas things out)sure does make July and August easier for me to take. I love Christmas movies !
  2. Exactly ! I'm not a fan of Paula Deen's but this just seems too "personal" to be a nothing more than something she said years ago.
  3. - Mostly the media. - Drivers that pay little attention to actually driving - in their own lane. I can not believe there aren't more "head on" accidents on the roads.
  4. Yesterday morning about 8:15 I saw a beagle on Hiram Sudie right across from Old Sudie road. I couldn't tell much but it looked like it had some black spots, I only saw it for a minute and it was across HS (on the westbound lane side)in high grass walking a few feet off the roadway. I know it's not much to go on but I hope someone is looking for it and can catch up to it before it's hit by a car in the morning traffic.
  5. 3 words - Cut it off. Edited to add: If he is guilty.

  10. Without kids that is a great reason for me to go to Disney World. Sounds very cool. There was one more but I couldn't remember the name of it. I just asked my husband and it was called Warlords. Anyone remember that one ?
  11. Happy Anniversary !!!! You guys were married just a couple months before we were, way back then.
  12. Does anyone else remember being able to go to the "gameroom" and play all day without any concern about any type violence ? (Violence as we know it today) No fights, guns, drug deals etc ? I sure do miss the good old days sometimes. What were your favorites ? If you are old enough to have enjoyed those oldies. Mine were : Space Invaders Qix Phoenix Galaga Asteroids Dragon Slayer Defender and shooting pool - Do they even say "shooting" pool anymore ?
  13. Sadly there are a great number of people in this situation these days. I guess the only thing to do is take one day at a time and try very hard not to lose today worrying about tomorrow. If you are talking about yourself then at least you have your kids and grandbabies to give you joy. Some people don't have that to give them hope.
  14. Now that is an acceptable pollen count.
  15. There are very few great examples left on earth. You just do your best and leave the rest to heaven.
  16. I guess times sure have changed. When we would get bored we would read a book, go outside and play with friends, ride bikes, skate or skateboard, play baseball / softball, tennis, etc. Thanks for telling what the cinnamon thing was about.
  17. Thinking about changes over the last several years with the economy and the way todays “younger people” have different priorities and hardships while just trying to get started on their future made me realize something I think is very sad. My husband played softball, sometimes 2-3 nights a week and on weekends (2 teams - men’s and co-ed) for the 28+ years we have been married and played baseball and softball since he was a young child. (I played until I became allergic to running. lol) Now there are so very few “younger” teams playing league ball and it is sad to me because the fri
