  1. New China is great. We have been eating there for years. I also really like House of Lu on Hwy. 120 near Walmart. Since the new owners have taken over and remodeled, the food is very fresh and consistent.
  2. That revolver was made by Iver Johnson for Sears. It most likely uses black powder cartridges and should not be used with modern .32 S&W, unless you can verify that it was the later smokeless powder model. Either way, top end on that gun is probably $150.
  3. You can drive down to Atlanta for a great steak or you can drive to the Avenues in West Cobb and get a great steak at Aspens. You will be hard-pressed to find better steaks within 30 miles of there.
  4. Take a long hard look at where the money is going, before you start throwing cash at Africa. You might be very surprised how little is going the the "cause".
  5. Individual insurance is expensive, but when we had Humana One, we were very happy with the service and they were much cheaper than the rest of the companies.
  6. I dropped my termite treatments a few years ago. Of course, I found termites in one wall, this weekend. I did my homework and fully expected what it was going to cost me when I called out an exterminator. I decided to check the PCom directory and found Tony at Hole-In-One Pest Solutions. Folks, this guy knows his stuff and he was considerably less expensive than the "big boys" in the industry. I am very glad that I called him and will recommend Tony to anyone who asks for a good local pest company.
  7. Beth, I know a ton of people who absolutely loved your husband. He was one of the kindest and most talented people that I have ever had the pleasure of working with. His passing will leave a hole in a lot of people's lives. We all grieve with you and will be here to help, if needed. Please, let this community know if there are any needs. They tend to really take care of their own.
  8. Such a great person! He will be sorely missed. http://www.bellamyfuneralhomes.com/Obituaries.html Randall Zimmerle II, age 35, of Dallas, GA, formerly from Irving, Texas, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2011. He was born in Fort Lewis, Washington on January 22, 1976, to parents Randall Sr. and Diana Zimmerle. Mr. Zimmerle is survived by his wife, Bethany Parson Zimmerle and son Jeremiah Zimmerle, both of Dallas, GA; his mother Diana Zimmerle, sister and brother in law Kathy and John Spray, niece Madisyn Rhodes and great nephew Isaiah Galaviz all of Irving, Texas; his father
  9. Bonneventure Cemetary is a MUST. You have never seen anything like it before, I guarantee.
  10. El Cheapo RCA that I paid $5 for at Goodwill. I bought a small LED for the bedroom and have no plans to add a receiver. I bought the antenna on a whim and it works better than I imagined.
  11. A national championship between the SEC Champ and the runner-up of the SEC West. This is exactly why we need playoffs between conference champions. You should have to be your conference champion to be in a championship game.
  12. I would like to take my children to help with a local Thanksgiving meal for the less fortunate. Hosea's Feed The Hungry is completely booked for volunteers (good thing). Are there any local dinners that could use some help?
  13. None of this matters, now. Paterno is gone. Why has no one fired the grad assistant, who is now an Assistant Coach? He actually witnessed the crime and did not go to the police. He was 22 years old when he witnessed it, so was an adult and knew that it was a crime.
  14. When Paterno found out about an incident, he was not even coaching at PSU. The incident was in 2002 and Sandusky retired as a coach in 1999. I am not justifying this. Paterno went to his boss and reported what he heard.
  15. It appears that Paterno acted as he was supposed to, but the school will use this as the reason to finally make him move on. The AD and his sidekick should be strung up for sweeping this under the rug.
  16. Thank you, sir. I am torn on this one. I really see the benefit of having a main road go through Paulding. It could bring industry and the airport would be more attractive, too. I am just not sure that this is the right proposal.
  17. That route looks like it goes right through the middle of both of the WMAs in Paulding County. If that is the case, they are going to eat up a lot of our "green space".
  18. I always liked the food, but the unusual business hours and the lousy staff made our trips there very limited.
  19. http://www.bizjournals.com/atlanta/news/2011/10/24/carmike-absorbs-three-theaters-in.html?ed=2011-10-24&s=article_du&ana=e_du_pap Movies 278 will now be Carmike. I am sure prices are going to rise, too.
  20. The same thing has happened to Comcast and Dish in the last year. It just a pissing match with the networks trying to get more money for their channels. If we were just allowed to get ala carte on channels, this would not happen near as often. They won't take the channels away for more than a couple of days and Fox will cave-in.
  21. I have had great luck with Walton EMC. I heard about them through Clark Howard and they continue to rate as the overall best pricing and plans for Georgia.
  22. You can get a very nice nice factory refurbished Toshiba for $239 at MicroCenter. I am using one now and it is great.
  23. Notice that none of these Union "thugs" are at work.
  24. I won't step foot in that arena until the Atlanta Spirit Group is no longer affiliated with it. I wish that he was at another venue.
