The debate this evening... who do you think won?
Big Cat replied to Coppertop's Pop's topic in RECENT TOPICS
What I find crazy is NoBama keeps bringing up how Romney is paying less in taxes than us in the middle class. Has Obama in the past four years not been in a position to change the "loop holes"? Would you tell your accountant, No thank you, I will pay more than I am required to pay?? You thought so much of your comment you had to type it twice? LOL We didn't think he could, HE SAID HE COULD. We knew better, which is why we didn't vote for him. You did. -

Are we supposed to accept the new low is 3.50 a gallon? I keep hearing new "excuses" of why it is going up, but it doesn't come back down. -

I heard NoBama spew that crap last night. I am in my mid-thirties. Low gas prices from the Great Recession? I remember gas prices being being 75 cents a gallon and 1.50 a gallon just about ALL of my driving years until these past years. When gas went up, it would be in the $2 range. All of a sudden it went up to $4 and when it goes down it is 3.50??? I don't believe it. -

I think the last debate was closer, since Obama actually seemed interrested, unlike the first debate. CNN is calling Romney a bully....did they not see the VP Debate?? I have watched all 3 and my vote hasn't changed. We can't afford 4 more years of our economy going down hill. Broken promises. He had 4 years and it has gotten worse. Gas prices, don't get me started! He has proven that his plan, or lack of plan..doesn't work, has not worked! I will go on Obama's 1st slogan...Change..Yea I will take change, starting at the top! Also, how can Obama discuss a budget when he CLEARLY k -
I'd rather look out for myself attitude than take from those of us who work and give to those with their hand out attitude.

The call on the infield fly was wrong, no part of that call was right. No 50/50 here, bad call. Those bashing Chipper are being ridiculous. And I am referring to those bashing Chipper on the field..not off the field.

The Dawgs hammered Vandy and the Cocks struggled with Vandy. Dawgs had a tight game with Tenn, but remember the Cocks struggled against KenSucky... The loss of Michael Bennett, the Dawgs top WR could be big. I am going up to Columbia, SC to root on my Dawgs and hope for fewer turnovers. Also hope to try to contain Lattimore and rattle the already banged up Connor Shaw. I am hoping the Ol Ball Coach is throwing his visor down on the sideline early!

If your child is screaming in a restaurant, for whatever reason, take them outside or to the bathroom.

I get that, repeat offenders should pay. If the alley coordinator keeps putting butter and sour cream on every baked potato, do they buy those? If the cook sends the wrong food out again, do they buy that? The food runner out sends out the wrong items, do they buy that? If the bartender opens the wrong beer?

Post what you want to post, reply as you wish. People are going to wine and complain no matter what. People are overly sensitive about the folling: -typing in all caps -bad spelling -bad grammer -religion -politics -opinions that are different from their opinion -talking about animals -bumping your own thread -too many topics and/or too many replies The list goes on and on. Just do your best to be respectful while speaking from the heart. Let the complainers complain, that's all they are good at.... -
Another key point is repeated mistakes. If the same server makes the same mistake, like ringing in the wrong food, then yea I think they should pay for it. I think restaurants take advantage of servers. Paying 2.13 hour, no vacation, no sick days, no benefits and requiring them to pay for someone dine and dash, someone's wrong order, 2+ hours of sidework, multiple shifts over 8 hours with no lunch break, etc...
-
It is not rocket science, but mistakes do happen. Also, the customer is not always right, they often lie or mis-remember.
-
I worked in restaurants for more than 10 years and never had to pay for a wrong order, no matter who made the mistake. Customers would change their mind and blame the server for the wrong food, cooks would mess it up, the person putting it all together on the plate would mess it up, the food runner would take the food to the wrong table, the server would mess up... I did have to pay for walk-outs, which I definately have a problem with. How is a server or bartender supposed to watch the table at all times, while still running food, making salads, rolling silverware, cleaning tables, getting

It could be a sight distance issue or maybe too close to another intersection.

Would you want him to move to another country with the ex if the situation was switched? Does the kid want to? There would be no requirement for the dad to pay child support if he has no rights to see him either... -
When you do road work, you are required to bring your handicap ramps, crosswalks, etc. up to current ADA standards. With repaving, sometimes you see a full depth reclemation, where they take up the existing pavement and grind it and remix the material with added material....sometimes they just go in and top the road with a new layer on the existing asphalt. There are other means, but this is normally the case. The costs are completely different. If you have base failure of the road, topping the road will be pointless. Funding for the road repaving often comes from grants, taxes and such a

Negative people, those who thing everyone is against them, woe is me, pitty me, my life is horrible people...get a grip, look around, appreciate what you do have!

They probably would have replaced it with a new one witht the last election, but none were worth the price. lol

We seem to say it more now than ever. We would say it before going to bed and stuff like that when we were kids. We got older and would not say it much, like when ending a phone call or leaving after a dinner together. Every since we had a close call when my dad almost died, we say I love you after every phone call and every time we leave. Sometimes it takes something to make you realize it is important to express to the ones you love.
