  1. Wait, back up - daughter issue aside a moment - I'm so confused  You started, you run, you manage, paulding.com, but you didn't even live in Paulding? You lived in Cobb?? I never knew that - now then I wonder why paulding.com, why not cobb.com (but I'm glad you did choose us, for whatever your reasons) :)

...now daughter issue - um - shouldn't she be harping on you in the mornings to get your butt in gear, giving you the big guilt trip..boy, at that age mine would have and not talked to me for days had I made them late! But now that the damage is done, I'm betting they will make her do the time because ultimately she is responsible for her actions and those include being late. Is it one Saturday, that's not so bad, she'll survive, and I bet she WILL harp on you from now on so that you're not late again <_< . As for you, I think you owe it to her to let her pick out what YOUR punishment should be, within reasons of course! :)

    edit: dang typos

  2. My heart breaks reading this thread, the rider so young, the ordeal so tragic, so quick. My prayers go out to the family and friends of Joshua and to those who witnessed and assisted there, a higher force put you in that place at that time so that you could render aid and comfort, so that you could help, and help you did. It is the compassion of strangers that do what you did here that makes us the great Nation that we are, and makes us stand apart from all others. I feel like I should say God Bless You, but I think we know, he already has.

  3. ok, question - so if JAMES is from Atlanta and he's a manger of some sort..and Sarah worked with him...does anyone know where he/ they work? I didn't see the episode where they showed clips of their job, I heard about it, and was told it looked like a retail store - like a RICH's/now Macy's? Just wondering if anyone knows..or what part of Atlatna he's from?

  4. yeah, my hubby usually doesn't want to know what I've read - I just tease him "I know who got POV, I know who got HOH"..he tells me to go away... but tonight..he was listening all right! Thanks for the information!!

  5. wait, what..it's not on here tonight because of the FB game..it's on like at 1:30AM - like if any day workign folk are UP at that hour! (new moms excluded, they are ALWAYS up!) ..but you say it won't be on Saturday night now..wonder if that's only in your area.

  6. HI, I know this was probably upsetting to your friend, but have them think about how good this really was..if it was a child that was being hurt - DFCS followed up on it! With all the stories we hear in the news about DFCS not following up on things that were reported, this is actually a good thing if your friend thinks about it. Also, if the child is day care age or school age, I believe they are required by law to report anything they find suspiciious, and to your friend whoever it was may have been premature in their assessment, however, there are also cases where day care workers and teachers have found themselves on the wrong end of the law because they didn't report something that it turned out they should have. So, in this day and age people are probably reporting more and not second guessing their actions, and any DFCS worker can probably attest to this by their increased caseload. So how does your friend deal with this then? Since she's innocent, there isn't anything to deal with - her concience is clear and she can, and will, laugh about this, maybe not now, but in years to come. Oh one more thing, be sure to have her write this in the kids growth book - he needs to know the stuff he did and what the affect was to his parents when he has his own kids later on, yeah, it's always payback in the next generation.

Edited for some dyslexia typos, probably more I still missed.

  7. OMG - I LOVE THIS SONG...I always SHOUT IT OUT LOUD WITH MY WINDOWS DOWN when I'm in the car and it comes on the radio (94Lite plays it quite a lot)..you should have seen the shocked faces on the East West Connector at 6Am last week - yeah - I had no traffic around me!! (couldn't have been my singing  )

"Surrounded by your glory, what will my heart feel, will I dance for you Jesus...I can only imagine...I can only imagine...".

  8. Hey, you all have my house bugged and don't want me at the Elvis show or what? Now I'm a pretty boring person (yeah I admit it!) and I don't do much but this time AND the last time Elvis played I've had other plans...what's the odds of that!

  9. Oh good, it sounds like they have improved this process in the last 15 years! Progress in our government, wow! See, back in the early 90's I worked in Douglasville and got laid off and had to go to the Carrollton office, and what a drive THAT was - they wouldn't allow anyone to go anywhere else, something about where the business was located...I am SOOO glad to hear this changed as I'll probably need it again soon...15K layoffs coming and more jobs going overseas...I'm a moving target and I don't know how long I can keep from getting hit..time will tell but it's good to know I have unemployment office options now. Thanks for the info!

  10. I did see the Ch2 news at 6 and they did a live report on location at Citizens Square, the live report had tape feeds with it, tape from the funeral that showed VERY moving speeches by Josh's ROTC leader (sorry I didn't catch the name!) and Tony too (you did good Tony, been a few years since I've seen you) and they did mention that the community showed a trendous amount of support as people everywhere lined the roads waving small American Flags.

Now one more thing I have to say, all this talk about news...Oh Josh, I hope you are watching us all today and know we didn't do this for news coverage or any attention - it was ALL FOR YOU little one, all for you and the amount of courage you showed at your tender young age, all for your parents, family, friends, to show them we appreciate your sacrifice, to try to take a little of their pain away in losing you, trying to spread it out over thousands...at least that's why I did it, and I'm thinking it's something along those lines for most of us! Rest in Peace, and God's comfort to your family and friends.

  11. I am happy to hear there were lots of people by the Hardy intersection, hope it was like that at ALL interesections...I was at East Paulding and Hwy 92 - lots of people there at lots of the intersections..Josh passed by at around 4:45...and the last car went by around 15 minutes later....he's on his way home now, rest in peace.

  12. ok thanks, I read the link and saw the news story that Pyschomom posted that said they were home..I had heard it earlier yesterday, either the 5 or 6 news it was (didn't catch the 10 or 11 last night) and I didn't get a chance to see if those here posted, then when I saw the story had just hit the 11Alive website I figured that they were still missing...but...11Alive seems to be a bit behind I guess...I'm glad they are home safe and sound - talk about turning the tables though..usually it's ol' foggies looking for the young one's huh!
