I think our moral standard should come 1st, BUT they are influenced by the beliefs of the society that we are raised in. (kind of a chicken or the egg thing) I hold myself to a different standard than society, not that I'm better, but just because something is legal doesn't make ok for me. (free will/choice) bb

who is to say that the observers standard isn't skewed? Much like that of early spanish explorers that belived you must follow thier xian way or die. bb

Many of you know Dr. Jim from his time at 1st bapt Dallas.. Here is an update from Jim & Penny Akins - please fervently cover them in prayer at this most difficult time. Jim had an MRI last Monday, July 20th. Unfortunately, the scan showed that the tumor had grown and that there was increased swelling. Jim had an appointment at Duke on Wednesday, July 22nd, at this time they took him off the clinical trial........ as it is not working. Duke offers other chemo options....but with all chemo's ...there are side effects.....and do not offer Jim quality of life.....or any guaran

It means there still is more product than buyers.. the real proof will be when permits for new homes rise. I think the market is just over built and we're in for a LOOONG slump. With out a flux of new home buyers there is'nt any real growth. bb

had a similar problem a few months ago with the "Cobb medical monopoly" they wanted $575 up front so i call the image center over in Villa Rica .. same procedure $175 after insurance and if I payed that day they would reduce my fee %15. wrote them a check and 6 weeks later I received a refund insurance payed it all. shop around their out to get all they can. BB

Like pubby said .. there's the "medical hospital group" in villa rica and lately I 've had better luck on prices and service with them. some charges were 1/5 the price of welstar It pays to shop around. As to the issues between atena and the hospital group.. I think both sides have a point but I see the cost only coming down by force. bb

yes it's on the Dobbins side, NAS requires a car sticker or pass where dobbins is just your ID so teh store is on the Air force/ nat gaurd side. I could tell you how to get there but then I have to kill ya!! really all the building look the same to me!! bb

did the ban smoking in just the park or all of downtown?? can one just step to the sidewalk and smoke? As one poster stated it's thier park.... well actually it's a public park and belongs to the people of Marrietta.. so if smokers wish they can file a suit aginst the city to have thier privelages returned. it's when good people do nothing that our govt. takes control.

there using mirrors.... there's only 2 of them.. I had a couple behind me on Buchannan Hwy and I drove 53 mph for the whole 10 miles.. if you ever been on that road thats how to really P!$## somebody off cuz there's no place to pass and they have to poke on behind you FOREVER. bb

missed 3 ... crossing double yellow to turn left...the forceof impact at 60mph is 4x that of 30 mph.. thou shalt park 20ft from a firestation driveway..

1 hour to the airport.. 30- 1:15 wait.. 2-3 hour flight 1 hour to get out of airport 20-30 min travel to work then reverse on Friday... so about 15 hours a week total same as 1.5 hours one way... now I just go to school full time and look for work. bb

so true... you can not let your coverage lapse and you must get and keep those letters that show you had coverage before, even if you go from company plan to COBRA.. the "sharks" look at it as two plans and you must have that letter of coverage. With 100,000"s losing their jobs now is the time for a real debate on universal health care.. something that carries from job to job so that major care is not beyond the means of hard working people.. bb
