  1. I loved this girl, saw her back in the seventies but my favorite album was "Unforgettable" where she sang with her father. Now she is with her dad. RIP Natlie Natalie Cole, Grammy Winning Singer, Has Died Associated Press January 01, 2016 LOS ANGELES (AP) — Singer Natalie Cole, the daughter of jazz legend Nat “King” Cole who carried on his musical legacy, has died. Publicist Maureen O'Connor says Cole died Thursday night. She was 65. O'Connor had no details about how or where Cole died. Cole had battled drug problems and hepatitis that forced her to undergo a
  2. I've got me some Jimmy Reed blues................... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dd-o_kLONVI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cEkepygs_bM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dcGW1sUEZgk
  3. We've been once and to me it's just not that great. The salad is so so, the baked potato was ok as was the steak. But I don't like to spend that much for a steak that is just ok. And the ambiance is outside, there is none inside. And the wait staff could be better. I can get a better seasoned steak at LaParrilla.
  4. I have a small one I take when I'm traveling on vacation.
  5. That's what I was going to say LOL. I can't sleep without my white noise.
  6. East Ellijay is flooding, one building under water and the bridge is closed. Lots of roads in our area to the West closed due to trees down. Possible tornado this morning?
  7. Tonight will be a relish tray, ham rolls, a cheese ball I make every year, deviled eggs, stuffed celery, little smokies (in the crockpot, I love those things) and Watergate salad. Tomorrow a whole ham from the oven, cornbread dressing, green beans, potato salad, corn, homemade rolls, deviled eggs and Watergate salad. Merry Christmas Everyone!
  8. I'm usually the one up watching, but I slept right though it.
  9. From what I heard on the news last night the son made a grab for the gun and the father struggled with him to get it away. I don't know, I wish there was video of the altercation. The son had threatened the security guard at the mobile home park, and it was reported he was walking the streets with a gun. Apparently the father showed up to try to help handle the situation. It was reported the son was on drugs.
  10. This case bothers me. I think they shot the wrong one. The dad was in the middle of this fight. I hope the truth comes out.
  11. I get emails when it's in the truck for delivery and emails when it's been delivered.
  12. I form my own opinions from several sources and I don't believe everything I read. I always watch the President when he speaks and I watch the Dems debate as well as the republicans. As The Godfather said, "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer". You gotta figure out which devil you're looking at.
  13. Too bad these thugs can't be kept out of society forever.
  14. Bad weather across the country. 80 MPH winds in California, blowing 18 wheelers off the road, snow and ice in the midwest, Moblie is flooding and tornados in Mississippi. Record highs all across the East Coast. Torrential rain here, everyone be safe! And prayers for all those that have lost their homes in Mississippi. One dead in Arkansas from a fallen tree.
  15. Thanks for the info, some place new to take the rugrats!
  16. You know, I love my yard and my bushes and flowers and trees and I make sure they have water during a dry spell in the summer, but I just can't do indoor plants. Never have liked them or wanted to fool with them. My mother and grandmother had them everywhere......maybe that's why. Go figure.
  17. Well, they are when you can't get your old butt under there to water them everyday. LOL Fake is just easier and I feel safer.
  18. Fake for years. I was thinking about this the other day and I guess I'm old, but I would be afraid to have a real one now because of fire. We always had a real one when my kids were growing up. And my granddaddy always went out in the pasture and would cut a cedar tree when I was little. We always took them in the back yard to show the kids how fast they will burn. About 2 minutes. I miss the smell but not the danger.
