I was reading an article last night about this new drug, saying it can add 10 years to a patients life. They are hoping this drug will eventually be a cure for melanoma.

I tend to agree with that. I was reading the other day that they're no where near being technically ready for this. The IT folks say the system is not ready and will not work. Folks will have to be calling to get details and prices, and they're still not even sure about the prices, credits, etc. etc. etc. I think it's all a mess.

I'm a pretty good speller, but when I'm not sure, I look it up on line. A dictionary? Thesaurus? That's a book!! Just kidding. I've noticed for a few years now that news outlets even misspell words. I first noticed it when I would read CNN and I would report it, but nobody cares. I read a lot on line, and everyday, several times a day now, I see misspelled words. Did they just quit proofreading?

I thought Tony played great last night, but as usual we lost our butts in the last half. Why? Seriously, why? We've been doing this for so long.............................

New Drug Surfaces This Week Thought To Be In Arizona
lowrider replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I've been following this for a couple of years, and for the life of me I can't imagine why people inject stuff into their bodies, especially something like krocodil. I've been wondering how long before it would reach the US .............and knowing what we do about krocodil ,why would they even try it. Do a youtube search or any search and see how it's made and what it does to the body. It' very graphic. I know in Russia the reason it is so popular is because they can get the codeine-based headache pills for $2 and it's in the poorest sections of a decaying part of Russia. -
I'm guilty of calling folks Yankee, but I mean no harm. You're from the North, I'm from the South, that line was drawn a long time ago. And then you have varieties of Yankee's as well as Southerners. When we moved over here to Georgia from Alabama, my granddaddy always called me a Georgia Cracker. I thought it was funny. Still do.

Did you mean EAST COBB? East Paulding? I don't think so. Maybe some of those folks up around Cedarcrest like to be snobs I don't know that for a fact, so don't get yer panties in a wad if you live up around Cedarcrest. Honestly, when I met my husband in 1975 and finally moved to Paulding in 1980, I was a Powder Springs snob. I thought the people out here were so far removed from any civility, but a lot has changed. I'm glad I have lived here for 33 years. and yes, Paulding County has it's own brand of snobs. Any town/community does. .

Jerry Lee, Jimmy Swaggart and Mickey Gilley are all first cousins. They could be related to Elvis but I've never heard that. They were in Southern Louisianna and Elvis was from the Mississippi Delta. Jerry Lee, Jimmy and Mickey all got their training by sneaking into black juke joints. Lord I remember dancing with my mama when I was a little girl to Jerry Lee Lewis. I took her to see him in the late 60's and took her to see Elvis in 1973 here in Atlanta. BTW, I have her Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis 45 records on the Sun label.

I never would have thought he would have made it to the ripe old age of 78 HAPPY 78TH BIRTHDAY JERRY LEE LEWIS!!! This was his first recording in 1956 with Sam Phillips on SUN records ............and he sold over 300,000 copies http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9bXNbmXKFag BUT THIS IS WHAT MADE HIM A STAR IN 1957! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yRdDnrB5kM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IjgZGhHrYY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGF5UbFYmK0

If it were real, why wouldn't it be on the news? ALL OVER the news? And why would you let your kid pick up a stick (that just happened to be there) and poke at some monster-looking thing on the beach?

How a Govenment Shutdown would mean to you

Personally, I think it's all posturing. Just like when Newt tried to do it to Clinton in '96. It's not gonna happen. Or, I'll be surprised if it does. -
