FOX5 just reported it could bring $350,000 in economic money and thousands of jobs. Something we need both of. The airport is there, it might as well make some money and bring opportunity. And I agree the building of the courthouse and airport was underhanded, but we still should make the best of it.

That's what I'm talking about. What good does it do? Did it just make them feel good to say that every American could get insurance, whether they could afford it or not? With deductibles so high, what's the point?

I'm glad it's going to be so affordable for those stuck in the middle who can't afford one more bill, much less the deductible before they even have insurance. One more bill they can't afford, so they have to pay a tax/penalty payable to the IRS. Right?

I wasn't talking about Contractor's. What I was reading yesterday stated that always in the past when there was a government shut-down, the Federal Employees always got their back pay. So they are essentially getting a vacation on the back of the taxpayer.

Call County Dental Providers. They are very reasonable if you say "I can't pay" if you don't have insurance. I went to them when one of Bickford's hygienist (mine was out) said I needed a scaling and planing, and I knew I didn't. I've had two cleanings with them so far and I've been pleased with them. My gums are where they should be. They set up this business to help local folks that don't have insurance and help teachers, EMT's, etc. here's their link

Once I get stuff out of the PODS I can post pictures, but for the washer & dryer I want $500. I know that may seem like a lot but my daughter bought it for $1000 at Sears, top of the line top-loading Kenmore. She used it one year and it's been in storage for 2 years.

Rockysmom, if you want to see beautiful water, you need to go to Destin and even more beautiful the further south you go. The sand is extremely white in Destin so you get a more emerald/blue water. Personally, I don't like the water or sand in Alabama. The water at St. George's Island is amazing as well. Panama City Beach is pretty as long as there's no turbulence in the water and it's not bringing in tons of seaweed. September and October are great times to go to the Gulf. The thing that gets me is...........you qualify for a subsidy IF you're below a certain income? As in lower income? How in the world are you supposed to be able to pay for insurance if you can't pay your bills..............and if you don't, there's a tax/penalty? I'm just waiting to see what happens with the BC/BS that I retired with, that went up $200 each month last year, due to Obamacare.

I've been to the 4th of July celebrations in Powder Springs and would get there early to park. We park at the First Baptist church but I would say this event is probably going to be even more crowded so I don't have a clue. And if we go, it will be late for the Little River Band and the fireworks. I'm starting my yard sale Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I may be out of steam by Saturday night. LOL

Very nice!! I miss doing work in my yard, carrying 50 pound bags of dirt and bags of mulch and digging and planting and raking and hauling stuff in the wheelbarrow, all that playin' in the dirt stuff. Maybe next year.
