  1. DAWN WELLS FB I think Mary Ann has fared better, I like her FB
  2. I hate to say it, but Tina Louise looks downright scary........she really does need a little meat on her bones.
  3. And you should be able to get a discount on your car insurance. West Metro covers everything. I had Drivers Ed in high school. It was required way back then. I also worked for Southern Bell which constantly had safety classes. And I know what you mean about patience. Thankfully my grandson is not a Type A personality and he takes his time, but I thought he would never go get his license. He kept saying he wasn't ready and when I finally made the appointment, he was very pleased with his score. It helped his confidence.
  4. I considered West Metro when my grandson was beginning to learn but I didn't use them. We just drove for hours and hours and hours, and practiced all the parking and stops and turns using the manual. He passed his test with a 90. He took his driving test in Carrollton and they were so nice and the wait was not long at all. But I talked with West Metro and that's who I would use without a doubt. They answered all my questions and seemed to be very detail oriented. They even offer to pick the student up. Remember you get what you pay for.
  5. You got that right. Gawd, I had forgot about Clutch Cargo............I couldn't wait to get home from school, I would watch American Bandstand and then The Popeye Club. We would all watch The Flinstones, including my parents. Looney Tunes were the best! And Hercules..........I can still hear that opening song in my head LOL http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PrLVgR6J84
  6. I pick Mary Ann. All natural and she probably wouldn't scare the sh*t out of you in the morning when you roll over to give her a kiss, unlike the other one.
  7. I heard that on FOX as well. And I said out loud "Shoney's?" It's been decades since I walked into a Shoney's. Back in the day they were great. The breakfast, all the selections and the strawberry pie were so good. But something happened. I think middle easterners took over and it just went to hell. Nasty ! I hope they can make a comeback. Some of my favorite memories are riding around the Marietta Shoney's blasting the pipes on the car. They had outside service back the. And you would show off your car driving around a couple of times and park and order outside and listen to the radio
  8. You know I'm waiting on The Following. I don't think Joe Carroll is dead. It comes on this Sunday night. And I want watch the new show with Greg Kinnear in "Jake". He looks like a down and out lawyer. And you know I'm watching Idol, especially since J Lo is back and Harry Connick. With Keith Urban they make a good team. Last year with that trashy ho Nikki whatshername and Miriah gushing and whispering it was one long season of nothingness.
  9. I love me some Spongebob. When Jordan was small I would watch Blues Clues and Tellie Tubbies with him. And I like Dora and Umizoomies and Bubble Guppies.
  10. Breaded and fried pork chops from West Metro, green beans with shellies cooking down for an hour and homemade scalloped potatoes! . And it was sooooo good!
  11. At least Hiram is not closing yet. Actually, there were no closings in Georgia. But this is just the beginning to stop the bleeding. J.C. Penney cutting 2,000 jobs, closing 33 stores By James O'Toole @jtotoole January 15, 2014: 5:10 PM ET The bad news continues at J.C. Penney. The ailing retailer announced Wednesday that it was cutting 2,000 jobs and closing 33 "underperforming" stores in an effort to rein in expenses. The store closings -- listed here -- are likely to be complete by early May. J.C. Penney said it expected the moves to ge
  12. I didn't get it and I'm not going to get it. I've had something since November thru December, went to the doctor and they said RSV. A viral upper respitory infection. Two rounds of antibiotics and a dose pack of prednisone. I just don't feel like being sick again from a flu shot. If I get it, they can just put me in the hospital.
  13. I remember it like it was yesterday. I was pregnant with my first child working at Southern Bell at Perimeter and my husband called me.
  14. The last time I watched TWC was like watching paint dry.
  15. I started counting the days when we had the Winter Equinox. I can't wait for Spring, and today was just a delicious day even if it is going to snow in North Georgia tomorrow. I got a tree moved today that I should have moved a couple of months ago, but anyway hopefully it will make it. I don't think the sap is rising yet.

  17. Ok. Thanks for the info. So it wasn't at the high school where the new traffic light is.
  18. I got a Nixle about it, and just shook my head. I really, really thought the traffic light would help.
  19. That's what I was thinking. Oh well, HOORAY for NOBAMACARE. My insurance has gone up 2 years in a row. Can't wait until next year!!!
  20. Absolutely! They were willing to face indignations, beatings and even death for their cause for equality. It took the Pettis Bridge in Selma and the fire hoses and dogs in Birmingham on the nightly news to bring about change.
  21. Aw, Eddie you know I love you. I just can't read some of your stuff, just like I can't read Pubby's sometimes. But then I'm sure there are folks out there that can't read my rubbish. But it's all good
  22. Oh, and just to add, I actually joined in '04, but somewhere along the way I got lost in cyber space and when Pubby found me the best date Pubby could give me was '05. I can't believe I've been posting for 10 years, and like most folks, I lurked a few months before joining. When I joined Honkin' was on here and she scared me to death , she was really more bark than bite. I've seen a lot of good folks come and go, and I hate it, I miss them. But this is like a big family, some you love and some you just put up with or overlook .
  23. I've always been a paying member, from the first day I joined. What is $20 a year, seriously? This is a business for Pubby, and it seems some really resent him making any kind of profit. Isn't that what you do with a business, invest and make it grow? Too many jealous people I think. I don't agree with Pubby's politics either, and some days I just can't read everything he writes.................but we're friends and always will be. Pubby is like a big teddy bear and I wish him nothing but the best!
  24. .My grandson was showing me his pictures(selfies) he has in his iPhone and I saw this one and I was blown away.I've always told him how beautiful his eyes are (he wants blue eyes), how he is beautiful with great hair and he's such a humble and sweet kid. So I had to share it................Lawd what I would give for some of the eyelashes! Maybe it's just me..........but I thought it was a beautiful shot! But I am prejudiced since he is my baby.
