  1. Yes, a vote for a democrat in the governor's race is a vote for Jason Carter, grandson of the former governor and president Jimmy Carter. And yes, Richard Nixon was a Republican. 1968 was the first year I was able to vote and I remember standing in a cold rain in Powder Springs to cast my vote for Richard Nixon and glad to be done with Johnson, hoping Nixon would put an end to the war. He didn't. We had to go through Watergate and then we fled Vietnam in retreat. Folks were so disgusted with 2 terms of Richard Nixon they voted for Jimmy Carter. What a failure that was as well.
  2. Ok, I looked up another one. The "ping girl" was Carole Landis. I love looking up the old movie stars. She changed her original name and used "Carole" because Carole Lombard was her favorite actress. She had a rough life and ended up overdosing at the age of 29 in 1948. She starred in One Million BC
  3. I can't go through another Carter. Been there. Done that.
  4. Yes, and it was all the talk this morning on everything................and the CDC still won't discuss who it was. So the CDC is the all powerful, we- don't- have- to- tell- you- everthing, government agency? Yet it's ok to fly with a fever even though you just took care of a dead Ebola patient. WTH?
  5. Ok, I'll do one. Buster Keaton (I had to look it up)
  6. Cleveland Area Schools Cancel Classes Over Ebola Concerns The Huffington Post | By Jade Walker Posted: 10/16/2014 4:05 am EDT Updated: 29 minutes ago Fearful of Ebola, two schools in suburban Cleveland have canceled classes on Thursday, Q13 Fox reported. Solon Middle School and Parkside Elementary School were closed as a precaution because an unnamed middle school staffer reportedly flew on the Frontier Airlines plane that a Dallas nurse previously used, the Northeast Ohio Media Group reported. Amber Joy Vinson, the second American nurse diagnosed with Ebola, travel
  7. You know, If I were a nurse that had taken care of an Ebola patient that died and my nurse mate already had Ebola, I wouldn't be calling the CDC to see if I could fly home, I would be calling the CDC to get me a room and some help because I had a fever and probably Ebola. I can't believe people are so stupid, the nurse and the CDC!
  8. These two-bit politicians are affecting every property owner in the county.
  9. Two people above you said I heard it wrong. They said they said 100.5 Which is it?
  10. Thank you! I'm glad I heard that wrong, I missed the 100 point 5. But still, if you had just cared for an Ebola patient that died, should you be flying at all, especially with a 99 temperature? I'm not that stupid. She was supposed to be on self-contained quarantine, so she risked the life of her mother to visit because she's got a wedding coming up. She may not be able to get married. She might be dead.
  11. Somebody help me understand. What I heard on FOX5............this Ebola infected nurse called the CDC before she flew to report she had a low grade fever of 99.......the CDC told her she could go because she didn't have a temperature of 105. Did I hear that right? She had a fever and they knew she had treated the dead patient and they said she could fly? And as long as it wasn't 105? Hell, you wouldn't be able to walk if you had a temp of 105, you would probably be dead. Did I hear that right?
  12. And believe me, I can be very animated when I'm angry Ask anybody that knows me
  13. It would appear this hasn't moved up much in the last couple of days. Please, you don't have to give to share. Share on your FB! $1,900 of $5,000 Raised by 47 people in 5 days
  14. You know, when I'm angry and been hurt really bad, I need somebody/anybody to listen. Perhaps him typing this helps to get the anger out and hopefully move on. Take care Thad and if you want to yell and scream and type, I'll listen.
  15. The letter could always be read at a meeting of the almighty commissioners................ like they would allow it.
  16. That is so disgusting. Even I know what contagious means and how to treat it. WTH is wrong with this hospital? I would not have done it.
  17. Yeah, I would think the pet fee would be for any extra cleaning, just like an apartment. The deposit at an apartment pays for damages. Don't know how a motel works.
  18. That's a good question. I was wondering where they were staying since their time ran out at the motel.
  19. I heard it on the news in the car and busted out laughing thinking "OMG! It's been in Atlanta, 35, miles from me" It's not funny, this nurse was supposed to be on a self imposted quarentine, but she went off flying somewhere??? WTH??? At least Obama cancelled his political stumping/grandstanding this afternoon so he could sit down for a meegting. Duh! Our government at work, doing what they shouldn't and won't do what they should. Second Dallas nurse with Ebola was on Frontier Airlines Flight 1143 CDC asking all 132 passengers to call and be interviewed . Jason Sickles
  20. I just heard that on the news. They're trying to contact eve one on that flight.
  21. The political elite don't think it will touch them. They'll hide in their castle's, pull their kids out of their private schools and retreat, thinking it won't happen to them. They don't give two shiits about us. But they better, because an epidemic like Ebola will not only destroy the economy, it will destroy the world. Any maybe the world needs a little thinning, I just don't want it to be me and mine.
  22. I've seriously thought about this...............and call me what you want, but when it hits the schools I've thought about keeping the 5YO kindergartener at home. Too bad parents won't abide by these guidelines because they have to go to work. I got this message today, and so far, so good.   PCSD Communications Today at 9:21 AM Notification from: Paulding County Schools October 15, 2014 Dear Parents/Guardians, The start of cold and flu season is upon us and, as you know, colds and viruses can spread quickly from person to person. A new concern this year
  23. Speaking of Syria....................... Exhibition of Syria torture photos shows 'depravity' of Assad regime U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum official, citing lessons of Nazi era, says world has a duty to act . Michael Isikoff By Michael Isikoff 14 hours ago Yahoo News A U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum director says graphic photos showing the corpses of Syrian torture victims reveal a "systematic killing machine" that is reminiscent of the images from Nazi concentration camps.
