  1. The President is not a scapegoat, he is the leader of all of these inept political appointees. Just yesterday Director Dr. Thomas Frieden threw the Dallas nurse under the bus. CDC head criticized for blaming nurse's Ebola infection on 'protocol breach' Some health care experts have criticized the head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for saying that a "protocol breach" was responsible for the infection of a Dallas nurse with the Ebola virus, claming that the description scapegoats the nurse in a case that shows how unprepared nursing staffs are for dealing wi

  3. I wonder if Paulding Wellstar is ready........... Deal: Ga. hospitals prepared for Ebola response: Oct 16, 2014 9:58 PM EDT ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal says state officials and hospitals are prepared if patients are diagnosed with Ebola, but he approves of calls to ban travel from impacted countries. Deal told reporters Thursday that the state health officer and other agencies are working with health care providers to prepare for any cases, including a legal review of the state's ability to set a voluntary or mandatory quarantine State Health Officer Dr. Brenda Fitz
  4. I agree, I just can't recall seeing a politician do that. Of course, he doesn't run anymore, but he's still a politician. I think I voted for Zell back in the day.
  5. I agree with what you said but: Obama is not going to stop the flights. He said it again yesterday.
  6. That's what I was thinking. I don't understand why they couldn't work you in.
  7. I'm sorry you're in so much pain. I never had a broken bone in my life until 2005 when I was 55. I laid my bike down on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Went down on my left side and as I hit the ground I remember thinking "Shiit, that hurt".......found out I couldn't raise my arm, but I didn't know why. On the Blue Ridge Parkway there is NO cell phone service. We were lucky that a bunch of bikers from Virginia came by and got the bike up, it was right on the edge of the cliff heading down a few hundred feet. The bike was good, only the clutch was messed up. Then an old couple came by
  8. I saw a commercial a few weeks back where he is endorsing Michelle Nunn, Democrat. This morning I saw a commercial on TV endorsing Nathan Deal ® because he saved the Hope scholarship. I guess he still zigs and zags
  9. Why didn't you put the quote up? Water doesn't kill Ebola, washing your hands will help keep it from spreading, just like any other diesease/virus. The most comforting thing that I heard from [Dr. Brenda Fitzgerald, commissioner of the Georgia Department of Public Health] was that water kills the Ebola virus. I’ve never heard that before. I thought it was something that was so contagious there wasn’t much you could do to prevent it or anything else, so her advice was ‘wash your hands.’” And from what I've read fluids in the body are the key to keeping you alive.
  10. I just got to thinking............ Flu season will be starting soon and flu symptoms mimic Ebola symptoms. This should get very interesting with clinics, doctor offices and hospitals overloaded with folks wondering if they have Ebola. Lord, what a nightmare in the making. I wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't break our economy, It's already cost how much for these 6 patients??
  11. Our chicken is from China, or will be soon.
  12. I think that's a good start. I heard on the radio this afternoon that New York is on an Ebola alert. They have a lot of folks from West Africa fly in everyday. There is a large community of folks from those countries and they fly home regularly to take care of family and fly back. And keep in mind, Powder Springs has a large community of folks from West Africa. A lot of the nurses work at Cobb General and a lot are nurses in Atlanta, especially Atlanta Medical Center.
  13. I was driving this afternoon and had the news on and I heard him say that. And I thought WTH? He's the head of the CDC and makes God knows how much money, and this is the best he can do. Well, I can give him some suggestions. Common sense, in your face suggestions.
  14. Ok. I looked it up. I never heard that or knew that.
  15. It really bothers me that we are sending troops over there. Is that our job? Can Obama really do that? We are going to have soldiers dying from Ebola.
  16. I just posted on FACEBOOK $1,920 of $5,000 Raised by 48 people in 6 days Here's the address again, go to it and share on FB. You don't have to give again to share on FB http://www.gofundme.com/surepip

  19. a I remember her very first commercial, she never said she was running as a democrat. But she is. I can't vote for a democrat. And I know that sometimes there are independants, but I can't vote for them unless I think they have a chance in hell winning. Which none do. I would love to have a vialble third party. Especially a Libertarian
  20. Here's an article and a video with Matt Lauer Texas Health Presbyterian nurse: 'We never talked about Ebola' She describes 'chaotic scene' at Dallas hospital after Liberian man's diagnosis . Dylan Stableford By Dylan Stableford 3 hours ago Yahoo News Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital nurse Briana Aguirre says staffers never discussed Ebola before Thomas Eric Duncan, a Liberian man infected with the deadly virus, was admitted. “We never talked about Ebola, and we probably should have,” Aguirre said on NBC's "Today" show on Thursday. "We never had a discussion. They gave us a
  21. They are beautiful, but what are they? I have nothing blooming. Except those twice a year azaleas. And the roses.
  22. I will agree with you that Deal is a crook, but I can't vote for a democrat or a Carter. I don't like David Purdue either, but I can't vote for Michelle Obama Nunn
  23. There was nothing good about the Carter administration. You have a short, selective memory. Double digit inflation Hostages that Carter couldn't get released in Iran The 1979 oil crisis or oil shock occurred in the United States due to decreased oil output in the wake of the Iranian Revolution There's plenty more, I just don't have the time. I'm sure some one else can post something. OH! And Carter established the Department of Education, which I heard an ad that David Purdue would like to abolish. I only wish he had the power. The Department of Education has been a f
  24. Just don't put me down in Blondie's basement
  25. I read about Clara Bow as well, the original "It" girl. She had a rough life as well. So I can't look up anymore?
