  1. I work in the Georgia Building Authority building right next door to MrsSurepip. Please tell her that there's a new "Douglas County" vanpool that parks right in the Agriculture courtyard parking lot. Our van is ideal for the South Paulding folks. It takes me 15 minutes to get to the van from the New Georgia area. I used to drive 30 minutes into Hiram just to commute to Atlanta. We leave the Park-n-Ride parking lot in front of Wendy's in Villa Rica at 6:15 in the morning and arrive at 7:00 a.m. Then we leave the AG parking lot at 4:00 and arrive back home at 4:45. It costs $85 per month and tha
  2. I was diagnosed with a herniated disc about 10 years ago. I never had any back pain but it affected my entire left leg to the point I couldn't drive or sit at a desk at work. The only position that gave me any relief was sitting or lying with my leg propped up really high with 4-5 pillows. The first epidural gave me instant releif. I don't remember it hurting because I was in so much pain when I went in. Several months later the pain began to slowly come back. They performed a 2nd epidural. That one hurt much more than the first one. With 2 epidurals and physical therapy, things returned to no
  3. Kinda dissapointed to hear Piers Morgan agreeing with him when he interviewed him. He thinks that what Charlie does on his own time is his business. He all but encouraged him...
  4. Does anyone know of any restaurants slated for the New Georgia intersection? The road improvements and new red light are almost ready now! Yaaayyyyy!
  5. We have a healthcare spending account through my work. But, I think I remember hearing about one that you can open at your bank. And I believe the money rolls over from year to year. We lose our money if we don't use it, but payroll deduction is so easy. Check with your bank to see if you can do it there...
  6. I'm not really sure if you should pursue things or not. But we are the original owners of our home that was built about the same time as yours. And our builder's landscapers planted shrubbery right over our opening. We lost a beautiful crape myrtle tree and can't really plant anything in that awkward hole it left in the landscaping. Not to mention that we have really soggy, stinky ground when it rains a lot. Very disappointing that the builder's contractors don't work together.
  7. I actually purchased the Cruz reader (not the tablet). It's an e-reader that also plays music and movies, and has wireless web browsing all in full color. They tell me it runs all Android 2.0 applications too. I seriously considered the Kindle 3 for $139 but it was just an e-reader. I paid $149 for the Cruz at Borders on Black Friday. Does anyone else have one of these? Cruz Reader
  8. It's back to normal now! Thanks!
  9. All my text inside the posts is centered. Makes it harder to read. Is there some way I can I fix this?
  10. That's true. I was just assuming it was a Georgia account that has been converted. Still, a very nice thing to do by turning it in.
  11. That was very nice of you. I do know that our Wachovia cards were "supposed" to stop working when Wachovia offically switched to Wells Fargo a couple of weeks ago. We had to call and activate our new Wells Fargo cards. We've cut up ours, but someone may have just thrown theirs away. It shouldn't be working anymore.
  12. I agree. If you keep a register, you know the money is gone -- even before it shows up. I'm not doubting that there may be other issues, but we should all know what our balances are without going online.
  13. Yes it is going to be cute. And, you're very welcome. We also thought their cards were ugly. My husband's will now feature a really cool electric guitar. I'm pretty impressed with this free feature. And each card attached to your account can have a different design. Just make sure your image is at least 840x840 pixels.
  14. Ouch! That's not good. I use the bill pay at Wachovia and Bank of America. But I never set up anything to automatically pay on a certain date. I always just go online and enter them WHEN I'm ready to pay. Never felt good about setting things up ahead of time. You might want to still use it -- just do it your self each time.
  15. I'll be happy to. I sent you a PM with my e-mail address.
  16. Yep. We registered ours last week. I would be pleasantly surprised if we "win". I really don't like their card design at all so it was nice to see that we can get new ones we design ourselves. They have lots of pictures & different theme categories to choose from. My daughter uploaded her own picture. Check it out. It's free.
  17. No. That can't be the reason because I had already activated my card as well. It doesn't show up under "I Want To..." until I click on my checking account link.
  18. I just talked with someone. She said I do NOT have to redo my direct deposit. Our WellsFargo account has the same account number and routing number. You can still use the Wachovia checks you have until they're gone. The Request Direct Deposit Advance sounds like what you said. That could be a good or bad thing... Go to your checking account and choose "Design My Card" in the left column. It will let you design your own debit or credit card for free. Choose from their pictures or upload your own. It's really cool.
  19. My family went a couple of years ago and still say it was the best one they'd ever been to. I'm not a fan of being scared so I waited outside in the car. They go a lot and couldn't stop talking about this one.
  20. Dr. Goolsby absolutely has the best bed side manner of any doctor I've ever been to. I highly recommend him. This also sounds like it could be acid reflux. My husband and I both have it and it is very painful and very scary. We take Prilosec, which used to be prescription. One box (one a day) lasts for 14 days. On Dr. Goolsby's direction, we take it continuously (usually about every other day to make them last longer). It is a preventive measure that keeps the acid down so it takes a few days to get in your system. I started taking it when I had my scarriest bout and by the time I got to the d
  21. Our upstairs unit is not getting power to the thermostat. Thermostat is ok because we took it downstairs and it works ok there. We put in a new filter. Is there some type of reset switch somewhere we can push?
  22. Same problem here. Don't want to wear my reading glasses all the time. This is the one I upgraded to about a month ago and I absolutely love it! It has a pretty big screen and I was able to set the text to large. Check out the reviews. Seems like some people have problems with it staying charged, and some don't. My phone is perfect - no problems at all. It's so popular right now because you DO NOT have to have a data plan with this one. Unfortunately, it's out of stock at this time. But, if you have some time you could keep checking. Really great choice for Verizon customers and it's F
  23. Just saw your post this morning and am definitely interested if you have any left. Just curious, if there are four of us that want to go, can we use 4 free tickets or do we have to buy two-get two free? And, do they have an expiration date? It's so expensive to go to Six Flags these days. If we could get in free, that would certainly leave some cash to spend on the food. Thanks, Bigeyes
  24. I just wanted to remind you guys how wonderful "A Friendly Geek" is with computer stuff. This is the second time he's come through for me and I'm very grateful to him. He not only sold me a wireless modem/router at a great deal, but I used his services to help me set up our wireless home network and our wireless printer too. Now the whole family's happy. If you need anything, be sure to give him a call. You won't be disappointed. Thanks Mike!
