  1. There is a witch doctor in Rockmart. Save your money.
  2. A neighbor's dog wandered off late yesterday afternoon. It is a gray Shih Tzu in the area of RC Thompson, Zion Church Road and Old Yorkville road in the south part of the county. These people are frantic and it is very obvious they are heartbroken. I do not FB so if any of you see or hear anything about it please catch it or pass the word along to me by PM or post. I do have a contact number if you want to deal with them directly. I do not know these folks but I feel for them and want to help. Thanks.
  3. Thanks. That was off the top of my head. Did not know I was turning it in for a grade. Really not the point.

In 1862 the Federal forces under General "Little Mac" McClellan were routed at the second battle of Manassas by the Army of Northern Virginia. General Phil Kearney had bravely fought defensive delaying actions probably saving the Army of the Potomac from complete destruction. General Kearney only had one arm as a result of his heroic service to the country in the Mexican American war. During the retreat a skirmish referred to as The Battle of Chantilly was fought. General Kearney moved forward to secure a gap in the Union line and was shot off his horse and killed. Confederate General Ambros
  5. While I have not seen Reed in years I knew him as a teen ager/young man. His father was the pastor at Dallas Church of God and one of the finest gospel preachers I have ever sat under. Reed played drums and his sister played the organ at the church. May god send his comforting angels to the Wiley family. Diane you have our sympathies and are in our prayers.
  6. Very talented musician played for many huge names as a studio musician and even did a stint in the Beach Boys. RIP Rhinestone Cowboy.
  7. And so goes the soap opera known as Paulding West Atlanta Silver Comet Rakestraw Ragsdale Tidwell Carruth Tibbets Shearin Austin Carmichael International Airport and Movie Theater.
  8. My SIL is juvenile diabetic Type 1. She produces no insulin. I feel for you and understand. She is 41 yo and was diagnosed at 10. I have seen her struggle for years and it is not easy. She has a really good doctor and I could probably find out the details and PM you if you have the need. Hang in there.
  9. So are they over rated, riding the coat tails of the original, drop them once and they crack up and quit type chips?
  10. Done. I did a year of college while working full time. Not for me. My skills were obtained through technical training and on job experience. An apprenticeship to be exact. It has served me well.
  11. OK was not aware if that change. So is a charge per use or per year and only if you are out of county?
  12. Yes Verizon. Yes had issues yesterday. Yes everything OK today.
  13. Ms GS does make a good point. My Kenmore's are probably 15+ years old and still going strong. They replaced a 20+ year old set. I have replaced a part here or there but probably no more than $100 or so over the years. It is true all appliances have gotten weaker as they have gotten smarter. Kind of a Darwinian thought as this applies to mankind also.
  14. GC there is a safety switch for the lid located in a hole on top of the rim where the lid closes. If this switch is bent or broken you can have some of these same issues. Take a pencil and push down on the metal actuator attached to the switch. You should hear an audible click. If the machine is ready to start when you close this switch it will start running. These tabs get bent and the rod that actuates them sometimes breaks off or get s bent. If the machine starts when you push the switch you can place a 1/4" by 1" bolt in the hole until you can get it repaired.
  15. Convenience centers in Polk are free but you have to be a resident. The sites are supervised and fenced in. They have separate dumpsters for recyclables.
  16. Apparently none of you got an A in American history. I will not defend slavery it is wrong. However it was only a part of the cause for the war. Slavery would have ended eventually. It was and still is State rights vs. Federal rights. I would expect a liberal (not just you) to always side with the Feds. By the way does that justify the killing of women and children? Does that some how decrease the value of the lives of the average southern soldier? Does it justify scorched earth warfare upon your own countrymen? I am not talking about who was coerced into firing on Sumter. By the way it was PG
  17. So those people are the population of SC? Mostly women and children. Sounds like a brave, alcoholic, manic depressive, loser at business, failure at relationship, bastard. Which he was on all accounts. If it was not for the war he and Grant would have died paupers. Now come on TP you know that is true if you are the historian you claim to be. The tactics of the North were later imitated by the Nazi's and Stalinist.
  18. I always thought you were a historian TP. Do you deny Sherman, Grant, Sheridan and by default Lincoln waged blitzkrieg on the South?
  19. Does this mention how this coward waged war on women and children?
  20. It is a mystery why no one comes here or respects the management. Totally off subject, totally negative, totally trolling, totally leftist, totally fake and totally BS.
  21. Oh hell no not in this life time. What they do with my cadaver I have no say so in but while I am breathing they ain't micro chipping Ole Stonewall.
