  1. March came in like a lion, it will go out like a lamb.
  2. May God send his comforting and healing angels to watch over her and her family.
  3. The most over charged case I have seen a conviction on in some time. Aggravated assault usually stems from physical contact like a fight or strong arm robbery, etc. Yes there are other criteria so don't quote me GA law. I am saying "usually" involves physical contact. Calling a bunch of dumbasses a gang is a far reach too. The woman received six years for riding in a truck and yelling out the window. This is a case of grandstanding to a growing black constituency by a politically motivated court/police department. I am not defending these dumbasses because that is just what they are dumbasses.
  4. She is outstanding and very well deserved. The NY crowd loves GS since 9/11. The news had many stories of tireless, brave canines searching the rubble for survivors. Some of them died as a result of falls/exposures/injuries while working. Many of these dogs were GS along with Belgians and Labs. I thought the Irish Setter and the Boxer were outstanding dogs also.
  5. I trust nature way more than meteoridiots who are wrong most of the time unless we are in a long term sustained weather pattern. I have seen the obvious flowers blooming but put more faith in the birds. Like Blondie I have seen two large gaggles of SHC flying north as well as some Robins scratching around. Not saying there will not be any more cold snaps or even snow but Spring is coming early.
  6. I was thinking the same thing. This looks like a bad shot from a 1958 Brownie.
  7. I am so sorry for your loss. Do you need anything?
  8. This Patriot team is a good team but not a great team. Agree there were coaching mistakes which do happen. The obvious one being the late drive for a possible field goal attempt. But that does not explain the second half failure to launch of the offense. Nor the conditioning of the defense. These guys have one job and conditioning both mentally and physically is part of that job. You should never be in a position that one bad series cost you the game. NE played under the same circumstances and they came back ready to win. The Falcons played poorly in the second half, they deserved to lose and
  9. As was stated in post #16 this team is bipolar. No excuse for blowing that kind of lead. Same old Falcons. Getting there ain't good enough after 52 years. Total mental breakdown.
  10. Who? Seriously never heard of them.
  11. Social Security would have been liquid to the tune of $ trillions if LBJ had not opened those purse strings and then Congress fed on it like a trough of Hogs.
  12. Now that's a rational intelligent well thought out reply. Let me rephrase. Can you give me one example of a pending bill or EO that takes away any civil right from any US citizen? I have many doubts about DJT and he was not my first choice but the question still stands.
  13. You are absolutely correct fear and entitlements buy votes. That is the whole playbook for the liberals. Conservatives want to deny womens/minority rights, take away social security, deport all immigrants, reverse R v Wade, persecute homosexuals, start wars, destroy the environment, dismantle welfare, etc. Can you give me one example of a bill or EO currently before congress/POTUS that confirms any of these false hoods? Please do not respond the recent border vetting because it does not apply to all immigrants nor does it mention deportation of legal immigrants.
  14. If he is an convicted felon carrying he is in violation of existing laws anyway. This is not a Constitutional issue it is a local law enforcement issue. And yes LEO can ask for his carry permit and run him on the database if they have probable cause to believe he is posing a threat.
  15. To lose your civil rights do you not have to be a citizen of this country to be covered by those rights? Does Roe V Wade mandate funding to other countries? Is using financial restrictions against a jurisdiction that is violating Federal law better than using Marshal Law? If yes why did the Feds use troops in the South to enforce the Civil Rights Bill instead of sanctions? Had you rather troops be used to enforce the laws these sanctuary cities are breaking?
  16. No I get the point. There are currently no laws providing more rights to men than there are to women or minorities. In fact the opposite is true. Without starting another topic affirmative action is one example. Concerning the topic that was being discussed, somehow not the OP title at this point. What laws/EO's has the current congress/administration proposed that takes away any civil rights from anyone?
  17. Amazon Prime pays for itself in just a few shipments. Plus you can stream thousands of videos. It is correct that not all items are available under Prime but I find about 80%-90% are available for the second day free shipping.
  18. Shut yo mouth. Football is a religion.
  19. Thank you LisaC. So if the laws are not enforced at a local level does that mean we need more federal laws to not be enforced? Have there been any EO's or bills passed/presented by the current administration that weakens the existing laws on the books? My original thread was referring to posts #14 and #18 which hinted toward the end of the world because we have elected a moderate instead of a liberal. Yeah DJT is not a conservative in my definition of a conservative. I thank you for participating using logical thought. The poster from the other posts has become illogical and blinded
  20. I love Amazon so I would be willing to give Walmart a chance.
  21. There are already laws that address all of the above. (referring to post #40) Discrimination is against the law. Salary and personal time off should not be a government regulated benefit. FMLA addresses pregnancy and medical leave. So any answers to post #19? I have a deep respect for women but want to understand what rights do women currently not have that men have under law? The thread started this direction posing a question in response to post #14 and #18. I am still awaiting an answer on that one too.
  22. Will someone please answer Post #19? In baseball terms the count is 0-2. Post #32 is so absurd I chose to dismiss it. It has zero bearing on the conversation. Post #33 if he was not discriminated against in violation of employment/discrimination laws then yes he is own his own. Complaining is a form of negotiating. A very ineffective form but still a form. As for the second part of Post #33 there are laws that already address sexual harassment. Do we need redundant government intervention in that matter? RM and I were having a very civil conversation without finger pointing or wild con
  23. Do you think the government should dictate this or the market place and the individual?
  24. You negotiate for the best wage/benefit package you can on an individual basis without regard to the package some one else has negotiated. How does a man know if he is negotiating for the same pay as a woman in the same position? Business is not based on everyone being equal or equally compensated. Just as an example not inferring sexism. If a new hire that is female is offered a new position with the same duties/title as a man who has been with the company 20+ years should she start out with the same compensation package based solely on gender? What if both individuals have the exact same pro
