For those of you who claim voter ID is a hinderance those who don't drive, are poor, are elderly, or have a handicap; how do they get to their doctor appointments, get groceries, or even get to the polls to vote? If they can manage to do any of those things, they can certainly manage to get to the DMV to get a state ID card.

What it sounds like you believe is the government should be the care giver and provide cover everyone's medical expenses. If so, how in the heck do you propose the government pay for that? I'm very impressed with how the Bush family helps raise money and awareness on many charities. I also admire the former president for shaving his head in support of this young child. I'm sure it was a moral booster for the child to see all those adult men do that. I remember when a young man of 31 who I served with was going through treatments for cancer and lost all his hair. Quite a few of us shav

By your theory if I or anyone else posts an article that states 72% of black children are born to unwed mothers is a racist. Here's the article. -
I told you Spencer would not be in the baby's name.

There are a lot of states north of the Mason-Dixon line getting more back from the feds than Georgia. Quite a few west of the Mississippi as well.

For as long as I can remember, Detroit has overspent and had gone to the state many times to for financial assistance. I remember at one time during the 70s, you would see bumper stickers on cars all around Michigan wanting to see Detroit secede from the state. Mayor Coleman Young was very corrupt. The guy was a postal worker when elected to the state legislature and then as mayor of Detroit. He died a multi-millionaire.

It doesn't matter if they're white, black, yellow, red, or purple; I'm leery of anyone following me at night. What I do find really amazing is the quote from Jesse Jackson. It demonstrates how he is a hypocrite. He obviously is profiling people who are walking behind him. According to Jesse's statement, he's more likely to be robbed by a black person than a white person. Jesse really doesn't care about black people in this country. He and Sharpton only choose to exploit them for their own financial gain. These two idiots work to keep racism alive so they can continue making a lucrati

Interesting that Jesse Jackson feels more safe when a white person is walking behind him than a black person. What's that tell ya?

I don't think there is a cure for him.

LOL It worked though, which was surprising.

The population is about half of what it was 20 years ago. I read the current population is about 750,000. At one time the city had a population of 1.5 million. The city's unemployment rate is about 25%. The problems go back to Mayor Coleman Young who was corrupt as heck and ran the city into the ground demanding the state always bail the city out financially.

Walmart Threatens To Pull Out Of D.C. Over 'Living Wage'

What growth are you seeing that's improving the economy? We are seeing more part-time jobs being created than full-time jobs. This does nothing to increase median family income in this country. In fact, we are seeing the middle-class shrink. While the Left continues to push regulations that screw over business and find ways to increase their taxes, the working class people get screwed. It's not corporations who are the culprits here, it's government. You point out how dishonesty is a problem in this country. I'll expound on that; it's the dishonesty of the majority on the Left in con -
I have the answer to your question - the current high unemployment rate. Right now the available supply of labor far exceeds the demand. Your husband and others his age looking for a job now are used to making more and expect making close to what they were before losing their jobs. They are now in a position to compete with the recent college grads looking for their first job and willing to work for less to get one. High unemployment numbers are always going to bring lower wages. The longer unemployment remains high, the more people will begin to earn less.

That's where reasonable doubt comes into play. The DA could not prove Zimmerman provoked Martin into a physical confrontation. Because the DA could not do that, how can you disagree with the jury? Did you watch the entire trial?

Sounds to be you're an advocate for increasing the minimum wage. Increasing the minimum wage will not help. In fact, it will hurt the economy. An increase in minimum wage will result in an increase in retail prices. This pretty much negates the increase in wages for those earning minimum wage. Let's say the minimum wage was increased from $7.25/hr to $8.25/hr. Those who received the $1/hr increase would see no real increase in spending power. Those who were already making $8.25/hr or higher before the increase of minimum wage would seen no increase in pay, but a decrease in their spend

Walmart Threatens To Pull Out Of D.C. Over 'Living Wage'
Foxmeister replied to michaelsudan's topic in RECENT TOPICS
This has been an interesting topic. I find it amazing when people want to blame Walmart for deciding to pull out of building three stores in DC because the DC government wants to force Walmart to pay a minimum of $12.50/hr when the DC itself pays many of its employees less. I also find it amazing that people are blaming businesses for low wages and the shrinking of the middle class when the real culprit is the government and some of its agencies i.e. the EPA. ObamaCare is a jobs killer. Lately, more part-time jobs have been created than full-time jobs and that's attributed to ObamaCar -
In yours, you were race baiting. The OP was presenting a fact Zimmerman was not a racist as you would have liked everyone to have believed. That's the difference.
