LOL! No offense taken at all. I appreciate the kind words. And, my feet arent as little as usual these days...they are swollen due to this pregnancy...yuck! Hopefully soon they will be back to normal.

I hate that this man was hurt so badly but it is just another reason to stay away from rough places that serve alsohol. Nothing good can come of it. Things can go awry anywhere but when you mix these elements, the chance of something horrible happening goes way up.

When we first bought this house last summer it looked exactly like a house you'd see on Hoarders. We bought it from family so a lot of the same people come to visit us that came here before we lived here. They are alwasy stunned at teh difference. Mr Dis... just wanted you to know that you and your family have been on my mind and my heart ever since I read this thread the other day. I've been praying for you all...asking God to provide you with the right people at the right time with solutions. When all seems lost, God can give you understanding and peace you never thought possible. You are a good Dad and it shows. Make sure your wife knows how wonderful she is. This has to be so hard on you both.

Yes! I totally agree. I love that, too. That is the reason I really enjoy listening to people like Al Sharpton. I rarely agree with him on issues but I DO love his conviction. I think he is very genuine in his effort to do what he thinks is right. I think you are the same way . I just dont like it when people CANNOT take it but can dish it and dish it downright ugly. Theres no need for that. You get more bees with honey than vinegar.

Congratulations! I am sooooo happy for you. You did it! And it sounds like you did GREAT ! You never can tell how it will happen but however we get them here is the right way. I took my son to calvary Childresn Home. What a great experience for both of us. You will not meet a rude child or teen there. They are happy and grateful. I went monthly to cut hair and would take him every week to do odd chores. I saw a huge change in his attitude. Calvary is on Macland Rd and they are so appreciative of any amount of help they can get. You'd be surprised how nice it is there. Not drab and depressing at all and you see first hand how great these kids are who have so little.

I used to use cash for almost everything that wasnt a bill b/c I made cash tips on my job(hairdresser). But now that I'm on maternity leave, I use my debit card a lot. This has really made me rethink the places I'll use it from now on. I do a lot of Ebay and really like using PayPal. I am finding other places now that I can use my PPal account, too.

The Postman and I have been conversing here for years now. We do not agree on everything by any means. Actually, we disagree a lot on politics. But, we found our common ground which is basically that we want to be good people and want the best for this country, our families, friends, our economy, etc. We just have different ideas on how to get there. I agree with you. I know they have to make a "story" out of it and wrap it all up within an hour or so. I do think that shows like this can be helpful to others who may be too embarrassed to ask for help b/c of feeling alone.I have heard and read that networks like TLC, Discovery, etc try to keep it true to the story. As far as the Mtv reality shows, I wouldnt put much stock in the validity of any of them. I do watch 16 and Pregnant sometimes and think it is a really good reminder to teens about what their life could be like by making poor choices.

Craving things like this is common enough during pregnancy that your Dr usually asks you about it in the beginning. I can't imagine but I know it exists. They also brought it up in my birthing class. I watch the show occasionally and I always find my self sitting there like .

Hoarders are real. I 've now had 2 neighbors(one was in Paulding)who were hoarders but nobody really knew it until they lost their homes and everything was opened up to clean. I like watching the show even though it is hard to watch at times. I borderline on the other extreme- clean freak, love to organize everything and get a thrill from throwing things away. That's why being on total bedrest right now is really working on me mentally. I am only allowed to do what is absolutely necessary to live and I hate it. It's driving me nuts. Thank you and I really do understand. I'm right there with ya. I'm not past my due date though and that has to be hard. I'm just pretty miserable and tired of all the diabetes/high blood pressure/swelling/nose bleeds, etc in general. Nothing new today but I do feel better still than I have felt in a couple weeks and I am VERY thankful for that. My next appt is Friday around noon so we'll see what happens. I've had ours on since February(about 5 out of 7 days a week). Valdosta in March is definitely A/C worthy for me. I like it like a meat locker. Husband is freezing and dragging blankets all over the house .

Me too with my first and it progressed just like something you'd read in a "how to have a baby" book. I did it with no drugs, too. Not really trying again for the same type of delivery as I am a lot older now, this is a girl not a boy and every birth is different but I do firmly believe that if you can relax your mind, your body will follow with a much smoother labor and delivery. you know, it has been proven that more prestigious neighborhoods have higher childhood cancer and leukemia stats than less expensive neighborhoods. They believe it is mostly due to chemicals in their lawn care. I got into all organic gardening a few years ago and learned fairly quickly that there are so many natural ways to get rid of bugs, pests, etc and fertilizers, etc. If you read about Roundup and chemicals like it, it will scare you to death. I would NEVER touch a bottle of that horrible stuff. I cringe at the thought of my children or even my dog rolling around in it. a

I have the same problem but I do not use any chemicals on my lawn or in my gardening. There are a few organic ways to get rid of them but I'm planning to try this one this weekend. Walter Reeves has some good info on how to get rid of them organically on his website but his process takes a little longer. I need to get rid of them asap but then I'm going to try his method to hopefully maintain a "no red ant" yard. Yes, it is his right. Whether or not what he says is of any value to you is YOUR opinion. I have an opinion, too and I don't agree with you. If you dont like it, dont read it, watch it, frequent it or buy it. That is the best way to avoid whatever you find offensive. It's actually an easy process. You cannot legislate everything. I read your post and wanted you to know that I KNOW I havent been through anything like that and I know enough about life at this point to not judge and point fingers.
