I have thought about this case a lot but have forgotten too many details to find anything about it. Remember the woman who was living with a man(I think)but her husband was overseas/military. Says he daughter, a baby/toddler, was "taken" from the house? The police found a place on the bedroom carpet where they say a dead body had laid. She says the kidnapper took their cell phones. Just curious whatever happened to this family?

My understanding of the law is any defect has to be disclosed. If it's "as is", you are just buying KNOWING the defects and the risk, not asking for any repairs. It is hard enough to get a mortgage these days. I can just imagine how hard it would be to get one on an "as is" house. Banks are nit picking home inspections to death. It has become the hardest part of the deal. Banks will say no to a loan over things as common as past termite problems and bad siding.

Wow. I cant even BEGIN to type the words. I'll just leave it at "ignorant" to be nice. I have such a long history with Dr Denmark. Its VERY personal. I wouldnt go there. BTW, she died the day my last baby was born. I still live by and raise my children according to her ideals, values and beliefs. They never changed because they work! Timeless. I have one grown already who is a total joy and a gift to the world. Raised him completely by her "ways" and I'm damn proud of it! No regrets. This baby is being raised the exact same way.

Well said and that is how I feel about it as well. Every parent was given a brain and a conscience of their own. Do what you feel is best but always do the homework for yourself. Certainly dont rely on the government for your info. What do they EVER do any better than the private sector??? Sidenote and a pang of panic...staring at 40 HARD here... .

Yes, all info such as this HAS to be disclosed according to real estate law. I wouldnt buy a house knowing it has a mold problem. It can be deadly.
