  1. UMMM not if MR. Big developer happens to donate land, for the county to build a big nice road to nowhere, that can can be zoned "commercial". And Mr. big developer just happens to do commercial building too. Not implying anything here, just know the tract record around here. WTH would you need a 4 lane to connect 2 --2 lane roads??? If you need something to waste money on....how about a resevoir with no water.........or an airport that no one can use??? OH never mind, we already have those. LOL!!!
  2. HEHEHEHE HE CALLED ME A YOUNGSTER!!! Did so. He said that's what youngsters say, and I say that, so he called me a youngster!! Thank you.
  3. I have considered having my mouth wired shut, to loose weight, but not talking is NOT an option. Congrats!! to you. How long do you have to do it?
  4. I know that too, and that's exactly where they stopped me. I had just told the grand-daughters that Powder Springs was a well known speed trap town. They couldn't believe that they really did ticket me. That's only a part of what made the whole thing so unbelievable.
  5. If the driver is drunk they should be stopped. That is rather irrelevant comment to what is happening in Powder Springs. They are not accusing people of DUI. They are giving speeding tickets to non-speeding drivers. $110.00 is way cheaper than taking a couple of days off work and driving from White, Ga to Powder Springs and back a couple of times. I have a very tight schedule. I also have a short temper. I will avoid conflict and aggravation whenever I have the choice. Speed traps are not worth my effort. You cannot change the system without the backing of a LOT of people, and this
  6. Alright! Let's just hope no one gets the crazy idea to put a "not so nice posed" rubber glove on the handless statue in downtown!!!
  7. The real truth is that I was NOT speeding. I had my sixteen year old grand-daughter in the front seat beside me, giving her driving instructions. We had just visited the cementary where my father is buried, and were having a very heartfelt visit. Neither of the girls could believe that the police would do that. But I explained to them, they are always right, and never get smart or rude with an officer. They hold your entire life in their hands. It cost $110.00, and I have to look at it as a donation to the police force. There was no way to take the time off work to fight it. We
  8. Powder Spring is, and always has been a speed trap. I recently got a speeding ticket 25 yards from where I was about to turn in, and 30 yards from a traffic light for a major intersection. I had just pulled into the road behind, first a church van, then a carload of brown people. I had waited for them to pass, pulled into the road traveled about 1/2 mile behind them and got pulled over for speeding. Duh 48 in a 35, but I was a good distance from them. Let's see a church van (stop them & go to hell) a carload of mexican looking folks(1/2 might run,too much work........1/2 might be il
  9. Only a month ago and you are ready to jump back in? You don't have pictures of your current home on FB do you? Please forgive me. I don't know you, but DANG!! I just couldn't resist!!
  10. I am no longer living in Paulding. I moved to Bartow 1 year ago this month. I had a piece of crap neighbor, aka animal killer, drug addict, alcoholic, that shot at me, in my own front yard. It took 2 years to get him to court. He was convicted of 4 felonies, 6 misdemeamors and he got freeking HOUSE ARREST! Wow! That made me feel a LOT safer. TIME TO GET THE HECK OUTTA there. I still love Paulding and always will. Like I said, my whole family has roots here. My grand-mother was a nurse (head nurse) at Paulding Hospital for many years. I am very attached to Paulding. I even raised my chil

  12. Did you leave your log-on on, when you went to lunch? Or do you know have a new all time record of e-mails? Just curious.
  13. Yeah probably related to my ex-neighbor.
  14. So they pay the bonds with the first 57 Million and will still need more. No where in there, is it going to put into writing, that your taxes will go down. Wake up and read between the lies.
  15. You may want to check that they do have LARGE pots, pans and bowls at the cabin. I usually take my big electric griddle for that sort of thing. It makes breakfast much faster and lets you keep things warm, even things in pots and bowls for other meals. A big electric skillet & crockpots may also be very handy.
  16. Officer! I have no idea who stole your donuts. No! I didn't just powder my nose! Why did you ask THAT? I still don't know why you would think I'd know anything about those donuts.
  17. Ok, went out at lunch in Cobb County were I actually have a place to work, where they are working to correct their traffic problems, where they have good parks & police protection (I could keep going here) to check, and the sale tax on my purchases is 6%. The Splost may keep Paulding from raising your taxes as much, for a year, but I'll bet you a gold monkey you will not see a property tax reduction from the Splost tax, and it will still be in the next year, and following years when you do get tax increases. I was raised here, my grandparents lived here, as also my Great-grand par
  18. Sucker!! Go down just like they always have! How many times can you fall for that? Or how long have you been here? Maybe you really don't know from previous experiance. Sorry.

  22. No better news could have come from this. Thank goodness!! Every minute your child is missing is like a day in hell. Your heart hits your throat every time the phone rings. I am so glad he is heading home. I hope all involved has learned a lot from this, and continue to make progress that prevents anything else similar from happing again. I hope he learned how much he is loved.
