  1. The ones that can't reach them, could get one of those "scrub the mud off your boots" brushy thing that goes on your porch, just squirt some soap on it and scrub away! Instant improvement!!
  2. The geese have really enjoyed grazing there. Now, that is one project that really improved the view. Now if they could just clean up the other side of 381.
  3. That's all I'm getting too. I sent a message to see if I can get it back up.
  4. Mack Porter is a true artist. He touched that stained glass like he was touching a baby. He's hands kinda trembled as he did it. He showed me all his cool saws, grindwheels and glass working tools, then held up an old glass "scratch and tap" type cutting tool. He said that piece was made with a tool like that. He said he just couldn't imagine all the cuts and curves they had done. His in home studio is awsome! Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know about him. I am trying to get him to put some pieces in the art museum here in Acworth.
  5. Now it looks like it is a window, but is in a much more visable place. Please note in this "before" picture how the edging does not completely frame the whole piece.
  6. Thank you so much for posting! The fellow that restored the leading said this window is between 200-250 years old. It had been cut down, so the family could bring it with them to the US by ship. He did a rubbing of the pattern, disassembled the whole thing and remade it with new lead. Once I got it home I couldn't bear to stick it back over the bathroom window, where no one could see it. I had it framed with lights behind it and hung it high on the dining rooom wall, so it looks like a window. I love it. I just wondered how many other people might have a beautiful stained window that they
  7. I have several photos of the finished project. I just am having trouble posting them. Who can help? This is what it looked like BEFORE:
  8. BUGS? I heard bedbugs are making a big come back. They leave nasty bite marks on you and blood droplets on the sheets. Hope you don"t get those.
  9. Just go in a local Walmart and you'll feel like you are right back here! Good to hear from you. I'm still same ol, same ol, except I no longer live next to the crazy dude with the goat with no front legs. I got a real nice place now. Had to get out of Paulding myself, just went to Cartersville. I love it!! Haven't had a neighbor shoot at me yet! No Scooby-Doo van up on blocks next door either. Have not once had the swat team in the neighborhood. What a change. Life is good!
  10. I have hiking boots for real hiking and I have a paddle boat for my exercise, so I don't street walk. My husband and I go together for pedicures. He never thought he'd like it. BUT..... he does
  11. Me either. This weather is NICE!! I dread seeing all the plants die.
  12. She may have made her cellmate some Kool-aid. OOPS!! Wrong glass!
  13. It has really improved all the hair I have seen done with it!
  14. It works! It's beautiful, but usually expensive.
  15. I saw this on the news this morning. Unbelievable! Such a beautiful family, I hope something can be done to help them. Barbados is a very unique place. I had never been to any island with so many colleges on it. It also has a huge, beautiful cave there too. A cave on an island just seemed odd to me.
  16. Oooooh, you know what? I've been there and I LOVED it. They have a kids area as well. ~adding to the list~ Thanks for reminding me about that! And we know someone close by with a pool, and a lake with a paddle boat! If the erge hits ya.
  17. [ That is a great idea...but I'm an art student. I have a whole studio full of art supplies that the kiddo basically has free reign of, and she and I paint together on a pretty regular basis. I wish we had a kids art museum around here somewhere. I remember taking a field trip to a museum in Marietta that was full of Looney Tunes lithographs, actual drawings from the cartoonists, and kids art. 1995-ish? So much fun! BOOTH WESTERN MUSEUM in Cartersville is a beautiful art museum
  18. Tellus Museum ROCKS!! only in Carterville Lots of "hands on" for kids (if you let them pan for minerals, you may want a towel on hand) They get all sorts of things to do. can easily spend the whole day in there has cafe & gift shop Get tired of that----go to the Harley shop across 411. LOL!
  19. ding! ding! ding! I have a winner!! I really wondered if anyone would catch that. I more expected to be blasted that "we are trying, but can't find a job". You have no right to say that we don't want to work. You don't know what you are talking about....bla bla bla. So glad you caught my intended humor!!
