  1. Made in the 80's, thrived in the 90's. I know times weren't "safer" when I was growing up (latch key kid here), but I'll always look back on them fondly and never remember the bad parts. It's the same for each generation. While we may not have had KKK marches up and down the streets we had our share of scares, but I couldn't tell you one without really, really, really thinking about it. Quite frankly, it's how it should be. No one should remember a childhood of fear and uncertainty so keep on keepin' on 60's kids and rejoice in the good times. We are all very lucky to have had our own good tim
  2. I can't stop crying!! I'm laughing sooooo hard!! Oh man. ::breathe:: ::breathe:: Thank you for sharing! I certainly needed a chuckle today!
  3. I second that!!! I need to drop some hints to Hubba.
  4. Wish I could get outta this office and do a little of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DwQbPgouUYo
  5. Let's try to keep each other awake and our feet tapping through this beautiful Monday!! Post the tunes you wanna hear on the Monday Jukebox! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPgbMAdAsbI
  6. Every single day. EVERY SINGLE DAY! It freezes, blue screens, loses channels, and it's not our router/modem/whatever. It's cable. Plain and simple. Drives us crazy!!!!!!!!
  7. I'll gladly make it a second time for you if I can have some brownies!!!
  8. Country fried steak, white pepper gravy, green beans, and macaroni and cheese with bacon. You can guess my only suggestion to this meal was the green beans... but I gotta admit it was DELICIOUS!!!
  9. Having one night (last night) where Hubba didn't come home from work after I'd already gone to bed. Even if it's once or twice a week, those moments are priceless to me.
  10. I'm not even gonna lie, I just stare at it for a while. I just can't understand any of it almost like if i stare at it long enough, I'll understand. ::shudder::
  11. The guys looking at my screening just shook their heads and waved me on. I laughed quietly to myself but had a great chuckle when I was safe on the plane.
  12. I just bought these My trip to Seattle was very interesting cause of course I got pulled to go in the scanner when the 50 ppl in front of me didn't. I had this shirt on under my jacket. Priceless
  13. Haha don't be ashamed! Those were great! I didn't watch them in their original format but I was blessed with them in syndication on a select channel when I was younger. My favorite was the Bugaloos. My mom and I watched it when I was younger. It was awesome to enjoy something she liked when she was younger and to be able to share that with her!!
  14. Ok so I've read the topics you have posted on the feed (what is it, 6 now?). I don't think it's that the content isn't interesting (maybe poorly delivered, but that is forgiveable), I think the negative response you receive is because of your pattern of posting and responding. In example: Mail Carrier: Super intelligent, well researched comment. Other user: Different opinion Mail Carrier: 4th grade retort (see response to C. Mark Willix & Assoc. "Who died and made you...") Other user: Pretty pissed now, and thought we were having an intelligent discussion. Mail Ca
  15. I was watching what I thought was Saturday morning cartoons this past weekend while the hubba was at work... and I couldn't believe what I was seeing? There were real people on TV... not cartoons. What happened to all the good cartoon programming out there? Is it that I'm biased in favoring my shows over the new ones and the new shows actually have quality, or is it really just crap coming out of my TV? What were some of your favorites growing up and even now? I was a fanatic of Captain Planet and Thundercats. Maybe even Speed Racer if I woke up early enough.
  16. My ex in-laws (I know it's weird that we still talk all the time) shop at their local Aldi often and have nothing but good things to say about it. I can't wait to give it a try
  17. Back to the topic at hand: Not sure if it's my place, but, I agree that you are guilty of excessive posting. It has it's way of grating on one's nerves tremendously. I like to see a variety of topics. Things that don't matter and the things that do. I work all day in an environment where mistakes are not permitted, and that kind of seriousness is NOT welcome when I clock out for the day. I understand that I don't have to read your posts, but when they are the only new items in my new content, it's hard to avoid. Quite frankly, since you are the only one responding to your posts half the t
  18. This sounds silly. I worked in restuarants for years putting myself through college and the ONLY thing we were ever made to pay for was if a table WALKED OUT on us. It was our responsiblity to watch them and make sure they didn't dine and dash. That's something the managers can't train you better for or teach the cooks better skills because of. Most "corporate" restaurants have an account that offsets the cost of "comped" food. They are allotted a certain amount a month and it is all tracked, along with replacement food and anything else that has to be done again or uses more food. Was this re
  19. Hey I've heard some pretty effed up sheez about people drinking, shooting up, or shooting in (enema) for all different kinds of ailments. Just wanted to clarify!!
  20. It must almost be that time of the month, cause my eyes just welled up reading this!! Congratulations and may you 5 share a lifetime of happiness
