  1. Just Asking, I grew up behind Cobb General and I can remember once a month my mama would go pay her water bill on S.Cobb at Cobb Water. When we left the water company we would turn left at Lockheed from South Cobb,(I remember that it looked so far down that hill.LOL)anyhoo,it seems like on the right there were apartments ,rows and rows. All I really remember is seeing rooftops. Is that where the Fair Village was?
  2. Honey Blessings just don't happen, they are sent from God in his timing not ours. If it is time then everything will fall in place ,the right people , the right places. It is all about timing. Good luck and God bless you.
  3. Hi, I seen this on my FB from my cousin this morning. He is her cousin on her mamas side, If I hear anything I will let you know.
  4. so you are trying to locate your birthmom or sister? Just asking, I lived off Austell Road. Pics does help alot and I know alot of folks on here are from Cobb. I may not remember someones name until I put the face with it. Get help with posting the pics.
  5. yes, I love history and recntly found out that Yorkville was named after my 4 X grandfather Captain William York. I also found that my 3 X grandfather was murdered in Buchanan and is buried on the property that was later sold to another family.I was born in Atlanta, never knew what drove me to move to Paulding, my granparents family is from Tallapoosa though. I probably would have never researched if I had not moved out here though.
  6. hello , I would be very careful about using glade oils. You can check out The Herb Shop in Hiram (very pricey) or GNC (no checks and not a big selection of oils). I am having wick issues with mine. Where do you get your wicks? Do you get them locally or online. I have been told to use RRD and LX wicks for gel candles.
  7. that water oozing up out of the asphalt as you turn into Home Depot is most likely due to water leak. The water is always clear and is never a dry spot in the summer. Justsayin'
  8. BUSTED TOOTIN" YOUR OWN HORN HUH!
  9. I guess they are ratted out by a informant. I guess they get paid by the police, who knows. I know one thing. MENTAL CASE!And she was taking care of children at a preschool. See , No laws can fix stupid.
  10. Yes, but I have a separate tree for those at the end of the hall. I call it my memory tree. It is a table top tree that sits on my hubbys grandmothers small buffet. I have pictures which stay in frames all year of our grandparents on the buffet and a small tree with very small ornate photo frames that I have collected over the years of our grandparents, my parents and our grandchildren. I do have the doves from my parents and grandparents on the big tree in the livingroom. I gave my grown children the ornaments that they had made growing up, I felt like they were not mine to keep so I passed t
  11. Every parent sees their children as normal, but mental illness can happen at anytime and at any age without notice.
  12. so he is whining about it, if so then he needs to grow up. I am p---ed about this.I am sick of roads being changed because someone wants thier name out there and White Oak should stay White Oak.BTW , I have some cheese for him.
  13. I get so fed up with stuff like this, this here is just wasteful spending. I was reading the patch and read that the commissioners are considering changing the name of White Oak Park to Ragsdale Park today. Can you imagine what the cost is to change deeds, signs and etc. It is not like that was Ragsdale land anyway. If they wanted to do that then they should have done it at the beginning not that I agree with it at all. Let Ragsdale turn his yard in to a park down the road from there. Leave it alone and quit spending our tax dollars on dumb stuff like this.Enough is enough Vent over.
  14. you are so right, Memebers of my family have been left untreated with chemical inbalances and if they had been treated then the alcohol and prescription pills would have probably never been in issue. To KHMmom, chances are your sister had a chemical inbalance and was afraid or could not talk to anyone about it or did not realize it. The stuff that is happening at the time that is where coping skills kick in and that may be illegal drugs, presc.drugs ,alcohol, etc. then when they are not able to cope anymore suicide is thier only way out.I have had family members in the past to deal with this. M
  15. Thanks for posting, just found 57.00 owed to my dad.
  16. Noy trying to trash North Ga. but we dealt a similar situation with my stepdaughter, the mother had supervised visitation but my hubby and I could pick her up from foster parents whenever we wanted to, after mother was finished visiting, the DFACS worker would bring the child to my car out back and I would take her home with us. Things are done so totally different in the middle and S.georgia area. I cannot explain the hospitality that you get down there. I do not know if it is less stress or what, I just cannot wait to get back down there. I must add that at the time we lived in D'ville and w
  17. I do not have a clue what happen to him butI do know that the other Catherine which her last name is Meredith is only at the Acworth office.
  18. yes, I googled her and also asked them at immediate care and of course they would not say, but I did find a doc with the same name in Rome. Thanks . If that is her I will drive up there. They lost the best doctor there.
  19. I am trying to locate a doctor that used to practice at the immediate care in Hiram. Her name is Dr. Catherine Martin. I can somewhat understand the stress she was under up there. All I know is she has left and I need to see her and cannot even find her on the net. I wanted to check on here and see if anyone knew if she started her own practice or what. I like the other doctor Dr. Catherine Meredith but she too is not working up there. She is now only at the Acworth location and won't be in until tomorrow morning. Does anyone know if Catherine Martin started her own practice? TIA
  20. All I can say about this is that God just gave you comfirmation that she is in good hands (something you both have worried about) also he is telling you that this will be done in his time not your time , he is telling you 'Be patient". I am so glad to hear this. God is working in all of your lives.
  21. We are empty nesters too and have 11 grandkids, some make it home some not. I have a son in Afghanistan as we speak. We just look at it as being our down time that we definitely earned with all that we used to do. At times I use a smaller tree. I also have a memory tree with family photos on it of my kids/grandkids when they were small.Parents and grandparents photos too. I often walk down the hall and look at that tree and a certain pic and start laughing at a great memory, I used the small photo frames. This has helped with the sadness of losing all parents and granparents. I have only one a
