Have you purchased a Laptop battery from this store?
Computer Rescue replied to Lady Raider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Ok...here is the deal. Technically, the 11.1v will work as Cedarcrest mentioned. However, in the world of electricity installing something with a higher voltage may result in damage. In other words, you may be "over powering" your laptop. Laptops come with a voltage regulator chip which may allow for a range of voltages. I can't be sure but it is likely that this chip will allow for your 11.1v battery without damaging your laptop. You always want to do your best to find an exact match then if you must...find a "compatible" battery. Compatible doesn't mean "match" it means "will work -

I would not buy it then. The numbers need to match. The 48 Wh refers to the battery and the 10.8volts refers to the output. If you were to install a battery at a higher voltage (say 11.1) you could damage or fry your computer. -

It appears to be new. Under heading, "Technical Details" you will "Capacity : 48840 mW-h, Voltage: 11.1 V"...do these numbers match? Sometimes these numbers can make a difference. As long as your laptop model and the battery numbers match it should work for you just fine. I couldn't locate where the item is being shipped from but since they have a store front with Amazon and a high rating the odds are in your favor. Good luck! Steven Computer Rescue -

A few things to consider. 1. Make sure the battery is new and not used. 2. Make sure the battery is being shipped from within the US and not from China or other. 3. Verify that the battery looks the same, has similar markings, and attempt to verify the output numbers match. Otherwise, feel free to call me and I will do what I can too. Thanks, Steven Computer Rescue -

Can you put 5 sentences together?

Here is our attempt. Most of this poetic writing came from my ever so creative technician, Casey Hesse. _____________________________________________________ There once was Computer Rescue, Who stood where there were few. Being very honest, And quite modest. They exclaimed "we are here to help you!!" _____________________________________________________ There stood Computer Rescue, On top of some fescue They listened for a yelp, To see who they could help. This will get your anxiety pumping for sure! I don't consider myself afraid of heights but I think I'd prefer a little less height please. You got to watch the whole thing now...remember to breathe...and above all...remember you are safely on the ground! I hope there isn't a computer up there... I'll have to get into costume on for that repair...

No matter what, I (the company) plan to continue to provide mobile computer repair services AND NOT CHARGE FOR FUEL. I know...perhaps I've gone mad but we have never charged our customers for the drive time to or from their home or business. We have never even charged for just showing up....yet we remain in business and continue to provide exceptional service. Now, gas prices are going to rise and fall with little I can do about the matter but at least when I go to bed I can rest easy knowing that just because circumstances beyond my control are putting the strain on people everywher

I recommend Google Chrome over Firefox just due to some increased security and stability. Lowrider, glad to see things are looking up for you with IE. If you haven't updated to IE 9 you aren't missing much is terms of use. Why they changed the appearance has much to do with Microsoft's competition...Apple and Google. Oh well...I will try to stay on top of all the problems and keep trying to help everyone. Good luck and happy computing! Steven

Ok...it is best that you do not uninstall IE 9. If you want your favorites bar simply "Right" click on the blue area along the top of the browser. Then "Left" click "Favorites Bar". There you ago back in business. IE 9 is an update from Microsoft which means the browser will have been patched and improved. So, security wise if you are going to use Internet Explore then IE 9 is best. However, I personally recommend not using IE and use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox (Resembles IE). However, IE should remain on your computer for Windows Update purposes. To each their o

Look along the top of Paulding.com where you should see "Forums", "Members", and so on. On the very far right click on "Store" there you will find membership info. And as always you can contact the staff for more information. Example: LPPT or Pubby Thanks, Steven

What exactly is an Alamo Brownie? Daniel is right...words cannot describe such a magnificent creation for which we mere mortals can only begin to fathom. Now, I can't begin to tell you what exactly an Alamo Brownie is...but I can attempt to describe the emotionally intense and perhaps soul saving phenomenon that is the Alamo Brownie. You see…. It is what lies at the end of a double rainbow It is what fairy dust is made from It is the essence of the Alamo Brownie that keeps Pandora's Box closed. It is rumored that when Superman suffered Kryptonite poisoning he use

Computer question for my tech savvy friends
Computer Rescue replied to marvinthemartian's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I wish it were as simple as running a couple of software's and perhaps it will work for you. I always encourage people to learn more about their computers as you can never know enough. First, Free software is not all bad you just have to make sure that the download source is legit and the software is legit. If you want to use a software but are unsure you can alway Google the name and see what folks think about it. Second, Viruses are very crafty to say the least and just installing AVG or others may not work as the Virus may be dormant, may block the installation, may prevent a por
