  1. Can someone please post a link to any official information on an incident in Kennesaw, because I am not finding any.
  2. I edited my comment after thinking about it because my calling you an a-hole is really no better than your comment above. I'm a little ashamed of myself but you really should get over that liberal/conservative b.s. Life is just too short. That really is so scary. I worked at the Best Buy in Kennesaw for quite awhile and know most of the staff there. The GM is a dear friend. Very scary.
  3. I apologize, I realize I had updated on FB and not here for those who are concerned . My dr found no sign of hypertension, and I just got my results from my blood tests yesterday. No disease found, no sign of diabetes, so that is awesome . I'm going to consider it all one more thing to eliminate in my quest to find out why I'm losing my sight in one eye. My ophthalmologist appt is first thing Monday morning and I'll update after that .

  5. Ouch! I just saw this and bless your heart . I hope it's better now than it was this afternoon when you posted this. I would have seriously freaked out and I'm not even playing. Well wishes for that to heal up quickly.
  6. I think I may have realized my problem, again by accident. My best friend of 33 years is diabetic. She listened to me discuss my symptoms and said "Rhonda, did they check your blood sugar"? I answered that well of course, I would think they had done that at the hospital. But then I got to thinking that no one said anything specifically about that. My husband has been pre-diabetic, he teeters on the edge- for years. He has the blood testing stuff he uses occasionally. When I woke yesterday morning he tested my sugar. After at least 12 hours of no food, I tested at 140. That's very high f
  7. Health for my family. Health for me and my eyesight completely restored. Art supplies .
  8. Thank you Ma'am...me too. It's really truly driving me nutso... (okay, more nutso ).
  9. Yes, me too! I will update as soon I learn anything. I'm going to try to set the appt for next Monday so my husband can take me because I am not seeing well enough to drive . Lol! I'm sure your brain is just as amazingly photogenic .
  10. See...I told you I had a brain . GREAT news. I do have a 'normal' Meningioma. Meaning, it is not cancerous right now but is benign. That white spot there is my bouncing baby tumor. It looks huge but it is actually only 3 centimeters. The course of treatment is 3 followup MRI's spaced 6 months apart to keep an eye on it as far as any growth, or changing of shape, then a yearly MRI, then 2 years, etc. If it does not grow or become atypical they will leave it alone, if it begins to grow they will remove it. The bummer thing, and don't get me wrong I am ecstatic that it is benign...is th
  11. Thank you Dana! I still have that numb spot and my vision is a little worse today, I don't guess any of that will change until they do whatever needs to be done BUT no new problems , so that's good . I also found a Meningioma support group (message board) online last night. It's comprised of caregivers and Meningioma patients and survivors so there is a ton of information there for me to glean from. I was pretty excited that I found them but I can't really join in as far as discussions go because I'm not yet sure what I am dealing with. I'm just relieved to know they are out there .
  12. I've just resigned myself to the fact that no amount of freaking out is going to change anything. I'd kind of like a margarita, but with the vision issue my head feels loopy enough already, lol. I did check and it seems that numbness is another one of the symptoms of the Meningioma, I'm just really looking forward to finding out for sure and certain what I'm dealing with on Monday . No. My cousin was actually pretty vague about his information and I couldn't really nail down any specifics from him so he was no help at all. The only other responses I've had from people dealin
  13. Yes. He's kind of a genius when it comes to shroom identification. I'm always awed by his knowledge in his FB posts, we learn something new from him frequently.
  14. New wrinkle. My eye isn't any better and when I woke today I noticed that there's about a silver dollar sized patch of skin on my right temple under the earpiece of my glasses that is completely, totally numb. It concerns me because I know it wasn't like this yesterday and I makes me wonder what else I might lose feeling in. Monday can't come fast enough. Frustrating. But still no pain, so I'm ecstatically happy about that. It could always be worse.
  15. Thank you, Ladies . My appt, the earliest I could get in is next Monday. As soon as I know more I will update. My vision is not any better, it may be a tad worse. I've been napping when I feel like it because it seems to help my head in general to rest my eye periodically. I'm not having any pain, other than a slight headache by the end of the day because of my vision so I am really happy about that . I'm just really anxious to get to this appt and know for sure and definite what is going on with my noggin. Thank you guys again <3.
  16. Ha! I almost spit water on my keyboard.
  17. Are they only for children?? Because I'm saying I would wear the CRAP out of some red Mary Janes .
  18. Thank you! Yes I have actually. I was just discussing it with my husband today. They never did an MRI on me as a child, only the annual EEG's. I don't even think I've ever had a CT scan of my head. It's entirely possible that this thing has been in my brain for a very long time. I guess there really is no way to know other than the statistics the research gives. It seems they are most common in 'older' women. Funny, I really don't think of myself like that, lol. That being said, I still wonder if maybe this has been there for a really long time, as in childhood. I hope I can garner a
  19. Thank you, Beach Bum. All positive juju is appreciated. Y'all are all really too sweet. I'm kind of a butthole, ask my sister, lol. Thank you TJB. I've heard she had one. Also Mary Tyler Moore and Elizabeth Taylor.
