  1. 23 with a 6 year old son... I pray that this boy recovers and is able to have his psychological trama properly treated in the future.
  2. Find out how your elected official voted on this new law (HB 1055) and mail them your old specialty tag. I think they'll get the message. http://www.legis.state.ga.us/legis/2009_10/sum/hb1055.htm
  3. Meh, I won't get my W-2 til Jan 31st anyway....and lord knows I'll put it off until at least April 10th.
  4. The Roman Catholic Church just recently forgave Galileo for this. Though I don't know why THEY had to forgive HIM since they put him under house arrest.
  5. What if it is? I think we should create a poll: Creationism, Evolution, or Turtles. Iroquois Creation Myth
  6. I'm trying to cash in all the time I save.
  7. I have been watching this since you posted (or at least had it on in the background), but it hit a rerun. I then discovered that "Locked Up Abroad" is on on channel 276 (DirecTV). i heart natgeo.
  8. I believe in creationism. I read a book once that said that Darwin believed in creationism. Some cultures believe that sea turtles created the earth. I assure you that nothing I (or anyone) reads on pcom is going to change anyone's mind. You are all stupid-heads.
  9. Vanity plates are a different beast than the "causes" plates. As far as the state economy? It sucks, but that doesn't stop the goobernor or his chronies from funding pet projects. I'm a state employee so I see the crisis first hand. However, I buy things (state sales tax), I pay my state taxes, and I pay other misc fees that come up throughout the year (ever notice it costs $2ish per tire for disposal? That goes to a general fund.) The state/county can have 7% of the $35 I won't be spending on my "causes" tag.
  10. I have benifited more from lotto programs than I ever hope to contribute....but that doesn't stop me from trying. 5 QP tix and only one number matched. ONE.FLIPPIN.NUMBER!
  11. I didn't even know I had that channel. Is this real life?
  12. Here are the featured shows: http://www.oprah.com/own/shows.html
  13. No, her name starts with an M....but there are several doctors in her office. I hope to find one in D'ville. It's closer and the hospital area isn't a disaster like it is over at Kennestone.
  14. 279. I don't see anything on the website/schedule that I'd want to watch, but I think once the newness of the network and all of her "exclusives" have aired, we may get some decent programming.
  15. I just pulled this site up and was waiting for it to load before opening this thread. I hope DirectTV carries it and it doesn't up my rates! http://www.oprah.com/own/channel_finder.html
  16. I use one at Kennestone and I'm hoping to find a new one. She acts like I'm imposing on her time when I have appointments or ask questions.
  17. I'm certain an international marine conservation source like the Georgia Aquarium would devote time, money, and resources to a hoax do you?
  18. It's my understanding that a kit is sent to the hospital, so I'm going to guess a few weeks out. Cord Blood donation
  19. According to a previous poster, the $35 does NOT go towards the original orginization. According to this article, " The increase is to help offset the state’s budget crisis." http://tiftongazette.com/local/x712225507/Specialty-tag-renewal-fees-go-up Wouldn't it be more benifitial to send the $$ to a local shelter (if you have the spay/neuter), to support your local school (if you have a support education), or to the DNR (if you have the wildlife one)??? Either way, I say we all mail our old specialty plates to the Gold Dome.
  20. I'll sacrifice my EDUCATORS tag and spend the $35 on dry erase markers and Xanax, since the $$ doesn't appear to have helped education any. I only got the tag in the first place because my mom (who cosigned my loan at the time, so she got the tag notices) got it for me as a gift after I graduated from college.
  21. I make my changes along the way. I don't need a new calander to tell me that I need to lose weight, stop smoking, save money, etc. I knew that months ago. (these are not things that I need to do since I don't really smoke, I'm not over weight, and I've got a firm grasp on my finances....they were just examples of common resolutions).
