  1. Just imagine if the pay is more like 12 to 15 an hour. It adds up to alot.
  2. I complained about the 5 minutes when I got a new supervisor who tried to edit it off of my paycheck, and I'm one of the better agents at my call center. Work ethic has nothing to do with not wanting to get ripped off.
  3. I completely agree with this, though I don't get paid for it. I am not required to do it though, I just do it voluntarily, in hopes that it shows that I am a dedicated employee.
  4. This is my issue as well. We use adp, and clock in on our pcs. We are required to restart the pcs at the end of our shifts, so they dont' have to start up, but we do have to wait several minutes on the roaming desktop profiles and apps to load.
  5. Union employees on unemployment piss me off, they don't even have to look for work outside the union hall. To me, that's completely ridiculous. If I'm laid off from a non union career, I have to take whatever is offered to me, within a few limitations. If they get laid off, they don't even have to look for work outside of their chosen profession. And you can be on unemployment for more than 26 weeks. I know someone who was on for 2 years.
  6. I agree with you, if they do that, it's definetly wrong. But if they show up two minutes before work, and go straight to their desk, and start their pc, and try to get to work, I have less than no problem with it.
  7. wow, it's easy to see how many people read only the original post, and not the rest of the thread... Read the disclaimer page. This was written by a goth guy, to make fun of Westboro Baptist and similar extremists. This site is a hoax, and it says so on the site.
  8. Who knows? The last time I was on unemployment I was made to go to the class multiple times, and I never could get anyone to tell me why I was going to listen to the same damn thing over and over again.
  9. In the op's case, I agree with you. In the case of where I work, our center is 24/7, and it's not so much of an issue of booting up the pcs, as logging into each application, with a personalized login, which takes away the option of management doing it for you.
  10. hahaha, I just read the disclaimer page, this whole website is quite literally a joke...
  11. Hey, if you look on their site, they have more stuff that god hates. Such as goths, harry potter, and of course, women... http://www.godhatesgoths.com/main.html The preacher goes on to say that women do not have souls... I swear, I'm halfway wondering if this is a prank, it almost looks like the writing of Maddox. The more I read, the more I seriously think this is a prank. Read the god hates women article, and you'll find out why. Here is an excerpt: I have had many letters over the years from women like this who claim, “He beat me”, “He broke my arm w
  12. I realize that you always like to take the odd way of looking at things, but even you must realize that hating someone because of what they do is very different than hating someone because of something they cannot help, like a disability, ethnicity, or skin color. oh, and has anyone else ever wanted to put up a god hates westboro baptist website?
  13. I also work in a call center. We have to log into about 10 applications, plus the amount of time to load the roaming profile onto our desktops. Some supervisors get mad if you log in early, others ask that you come in 5 minutes early, but no earlier. The issue is that if you aren't prepared to take a live call at the exact start time of your shift, you are essentially penalized, making it look like you are late to work. Legally, and in my opinion ethically, they can't make you come in fifteen minutes early, without paying you for that time, in order to be on time for work. I usually get t
  14. It will likely make it because there are no other stores of the same type and quality nearby. And in paulding, it's definitely the type of business that is in demand.
  15. The way they investigate is basically to fax a form over to the company who claimed the debt, and ask them if it is correct. If they say yes, your word means absolutely nothing. I've disputed some of the inaccuracies on my account several times, and they have never been fixed.
  16. There are two things that piss me off with my credit report. The first is when someone sells a debt, and then I have duplicates (or in one case, triplicates) on my report, that sometimes get counted as seperate debts by idiots. The second is when I dispute a debt, like one I paid, and have a receipt for, and the credit bureau won't take it off, or mark it as paid, even when I mail them a copy of the receipt...
  17. I got pissed when I went to see the newest pirates movie, and two women came with their new borns, who cried during the whole movie... That's so rude to others. When I had a new born, we didn't go to movies if we couldn't get a baby sitter, which meant that we literally did not go almost any of the time.
  18. The majority share in Academy just got bought out if I'm not mistaken. Management should be changing as a result.
  19. If you are having problems controlling your appetite after getting after Phentermine, try taking Hoodia when the cravings get too strong. It does much the same thing, but it's over the counter, and less strong.
  20. It makes you feel very full after you eat just a bit, and helps you adjust to eating less. If you take it for several months, and adjust your diet, then when you get off of it, your body should be used to eating less than you probably did before. However, if you splurge, and go back to eating what you used to, then there is no point, because then you'll just gain all the weight back. It's all about self control, and using it as a tool to help adapt yourself to a new food lifestyle. The pill, in and of itself, does not make you lose weight. It makes you want to eat less, which will help yo
  21. There is probably some embarrassment there at not recognizing the fake ID. When you submit the request for a new license, that goes thru quite a few hands, they could easily have gotten your license number at that point, and printed a old style ID that is easily forged with that number one it, and a different picture. They should have ran the ID at the scene though, to verify. They probably didn't go thru the trouble with it being an out of state license, which probably motivates them even more to look for the person who is impersonating you.
  22. I would get in touch with the police who are handling the case, if they haven't already contacted you. Out of curiousity, have you replaced your drivers license recently?
  23. I've had one worse than that. A local oil change place changed our oil, and did an "inspection". At the end of the inspection, they tried to tell us we needed to spend $300 on some type of cleaning for the air filtration ductwork in the car (don't remember exactly what they called it). The car started running very poorly almost as soon as we pulled out, when we had shown up, the car had run fine. We tried to get the mechanics there to look at the car, and see why it was not running smoothly, but they wanted over $100 just to touch it, and insisted that the issue they had talked about was causi
  24. I'd take him to small claims court if he wouldn't refund the rest of the deposit. That's bad business, and to do that to family, even to a grandchild you don't really have much to do with, is horrendous.
