  1. It should definitely have more serious consequences than it does now. The fact of the matter is that very few teenagers would ever get caught with a fake ID, because most of them use it specifically for things like buying alcohol before they are legal, and if the clerk realizes it's fake, they don't apprehend the kid and wait for the police to show up. This measure is to make those who are here illegally responsible for using someone else's ID, or having a fake one made, which is a huge issue right now. The penalty shouldn't be 15 years automatically, but I haven't read up on the issue, so I c
  2. I'd check with an attorney, and make sure you can legally move him out of the country for a year. I know many custody agreements allow the other parent to take custody in the case of even cross country moves, much less international moves.
  3. yes, I did... I'm beginning to think you didn't though...
  4. I'd like to agree with you, but I find that those with the degrees and training that work with the government usually do the exact opposite of what is best, usually due to idiotic rules and regs.
  5. The article doesn't say that they are rethinking Shaken Baby Syndrome, but rather that it is being diagnosed incorrectly in some cases. Typical of NPR to name the article something like that though...
  6. The whole thing is nasty...
  7. HAHA!!! Treatment at a mental hospital? I take it that you haven't had much interaction with the states mental facilities... They tranquilize, and release. It's like an ER. Nothing that goes on there can be called treatment.
  8. ... He was stopped at a red light... not moving... that may technically be illegally, but if you use critical thinking skills, you'll realize that when someone isn't moving, glancing at their phone isn't really that big of a deal. Also, why do you feel the need to be rude, and hijack the man's thread?
  9. No ethanol in aviation fuel. And no, you definetly don't want to add it to your car. Besides which, it's much more expensive than regular gas.
  10. What antennas are people using? I've done alot of research on this, and am seriously thinking about doing it, but I really need more info. Any info on how many channels you are getting, what antenna, what setup/install there was, etc would be great.
  11. If you go to an auto auction, take someone with you that knows what they are doing. The thing is a total circus.
  12. This is all so true. The whole food pyramid is a load of crap created by quack scientists and politicians, and was protested by real doctors and scientists. I've done a ton of research on food over the past few months, and have found out that the food pyramid is all wrong, and the diet most of us have been encouraged to eat by health food companies and the government will kill you. Also, why not ban chocolate milk? They may as well hand out coke or pepsi with their meal. Hell, diet coke would be healthier than chocolate milk.
  13. The biggest thing I've done is to take a few cans of the expanding insulation foam, and seal up every nook and cranny of my house. My bill, from one month to the next during winter, dropped about 40%. I've also tinkered with my vents quite a bit, closing all of the ones in rooms I don't use, so that those rooms don't get heated/cooled much. I recently bought a Brita filter, and stopped buying bottled water, which is a big savings. And I moved, so that instead of being 45 minutes from work, and spending 200 to 300 a month in gas, I'm now spending around 20 to 50, depending on where I go outsid
  14. I'm shocked they didn't find a way to get rid of the snakes. I've heard about people moving garter snake dens before, especially the huge ones in Canada.
  15. It started yesterday around noon. I took some medicine, was ok for like half an hour, then started feeling alot worse. I did have a headache when I woke up that morning, but at the time didn't think it was related. Around 230 my work suggested I may want to go home, and I started feeling a bit better around like 7 or 8. When I woke up this morning, I felt bad, but thought once I got moving that things might get better. Getting moving made things a whole lot worse, and since then, I have just been sitting around doing as little as possible, hoping that the phinergren I took keeps the worst symp
  16. They absolutely should both be charged, and frankly, the one video taping should be charged for reckless driving with as fast as he was going. The truck wasn't going fast til those motorcycles came up on his ass going way to fast. I get where the guy in the truck is coming from, though what he did is unquestionably wrong. Most of us who've dealt with jackass motorcyclists driving at high speeds down curvy roads, nearly causing wrecks, and weaving thru traffic have felt the frustration he probably felt.
  17. I'm at home with one right now. Been sick since about this time yesterday.
  18. I like my 02 focus, but like I said before, the price on that seems high. I looked it up on kbb, while the price there does look right, I don't always trust those. One of the questions I'd definetly ask is about previous owners, and whether they had the extended warranty. The saving grace of my focus is that the previous owner was an older lady, who had the warranty until she sold it, and she used to take it in for literally everything. It was perfectly maintained. Focuses don't get great gas mileage. With either one, you are probably looking at mid 20's at best.
  19. aww... don't kill the chipmunks, they are cute. Trap them, and release them elsewhere.
  20. The answer is yes, they are that stupid.
  21. I have an 02 focus, and I've been very happy with it. $4900 seems a little steep to me though, I paid $5500 for my 02 4 years ago, with 70k miles on it.
  22. Make sure you get it checked out thoroughly. Some dodges do very badly after 100k miles.
  23. My biggest questions in all of this is this: With all of the corruption that went on in Paulding in the past 10 to 15 years, is there no way for the government to go after those in charge in government who profited by all of this? And the developers who were in cahoots with them?
  24. It's a virus. I had it a few weeks ago, and my sister had it last week. Our symptoms were headaches, dizziness, body aches, and fatigue. It last about two days, then went away.
  25. I take my allowable breaks, and nothing more. I clock out for my lunch, so if I did go over, the person who'd be losing money is me. Though I can't go over, because everything is tracked in the system, and I'd definetly hear about it is I was to go over. Since our calls are monitored and recorded, I can't do personal calls at work, or surf the web, play solitaire, etc except when there are no calls coming in, and no projects to work on, so no wasting time there... I'm sounding less and less like a whiny baby, and you are sounding more and more like a grouchy boss...
