Are you practice pathogenic parenting?

You realize that someone that has borderline personailty disorder does not see anything wrong their own behavior, right? And they are usually the last person to understand that they have a mental disorder even though people have probably been telling them that they are batsheez crazy for years. -
I heard that Paulding Animal Control had a baby bobcat that they picked up. I'm wondering if it is true and if so, was wild caught or confiscated from someone. Has anybody seen it or heard about it?

You aren't the only one that feels that way. A lot of us think the same way. However, I think one of the issues that upsets some people about this particular incident is that the boys were friends and have known each other for many, many years. They were not just mere acquaintances or just “drug friends” as some people indicate. They were friends that were together a lot over the years and knew each other very well. I haven't seen Topper in about 5 or 6 years but he and the other boy were at one time part of a group of friends that hung around together in high school and also in the years imme

Zach told the judge that he was still alive when he left to return his girlfriend's house. I heard a rumor about other charges being added soon but I heard that from the kids who heard it their friends so take that with a grain of salt.

I've heard of people wanting pot legalized. I've never heard of anyone wanting heroin legalized. What people are you referring to? Junkies? -
I had one in the yard last night buzzing around the magnolia tree. That's the only one I know of this spring.

Where would be a great place to go for a few days?
SusieQ404 replied to lucky64's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It was good. I had the filet and it's hard to screw that up. Breakfast was yummy also. Having said that, I really, really liked a place in downtown Clarkesville called The Attic. The food was delicous and the servings were huge. I had to take my left overs back to the inn and put them in the fridge for later. At The Attic, they have a pork chop stuffed with prosciutto, Swiss cheese and spinach with a blackberry glaze that is incredible. -

It's a great place. The gardens are beautiful and if there's not a wedding going on when you're there, it's very peaceful. The restaurant at the inn is very good but there are also some great places in downtown Clarkesville about 15 minutes away. Another nice place on the other end of the lake is the Lake Rabun Hotel. I like Glen Ella though. It's off by itself on a gravel road. The staff are very nice and welcoming but leave you alone unless you need them. -
Is this irresponsible or just the way of the world?
SusieQ404 replied to dawneykids's topic in RECENT TOPICS
One of the reasons that I don't like news like that being delivered by FB is that people can comment on your posts. I know that you can fix it where no one can but chances are if you are delivering news like that on FB you aren't going to take the time to disable comments. When the news of Topper Duffy's death hit FB, the specualtion and the gossip were at times hurtful to his family. You could definately tell from his sister's responses. The comments really stirred up the kids and have kept them stirred up for weeks. I guess each case is different. There is no blanket response that fits -

I think that with mature, responsible people, this is NOT "the way of the world". I would never dream of delivering news like that on FB. Friends and family deserve a personal visit if possible or at least a phone call or personal letter/email if they are too far away. I do find that with the younger generations, they tend to deliver news like that over FB, Don't know why, maybe they don't know any better? And I have a couple of overly dramatic co-workers (drama queens!)who do this also. As adults, they know better but live their lives in turmoil and drama always striving to be the center -

Glen-Ella Springs Inn in the Clarkesville / Tallulah Gorge / Lake Rabun area. Beautiful area, quiet and only two hours from Atlanta. -
Code enforcement is not why this county is trashy. The blame for that should be directed at the homeowners (or renters) that leave mattresses and big screen TVs in their yard. I say if you don't have a pickup truck to haul your crap to the dump and you can't afford to pay someone else to do it for you, leave your junk inside your house. We don't want to look it. If you leave it in the hallway and trip over it enough times, you'll figure out a way to recycle it or get it to the dump real quick.

I think the boy was self-serving and a show off. Perhaps he confused his graduation ceremony with a tryout for America's Got Talent. -
My dentist charges around $470.00 for a filling in that area. I think my dentist is kind of expensive though. Good thing I have insurance.

I live up Senator Rd across from Carrington Lakes but wasn't here this afternoon. I was stuck in a storm in Duluth. I asked my husband about the weather here and he just said that it rained 'a little'. He never mentioned a storm or cloud to ground lightening. But then again, he'd call a tornado a little bit of wind. -
I don't know if I could live in Oklahoma. Those poor people are under a tornado emergency warning again tonight. Prayers to all in the affected areas, they've been through enough lately.

Darn, I wanted to see it too.

Happy birthday to you! Hope it's a great day for you. I'm just a couple of years behind you and I'm ok with turning 50. Well at least I am now, we'll see how I feel when I actually get there!

Too young. I hope he's found peace and comfort. RIP Topper.

The CEO sounds immature. I bet you that he wasn't even part of the crowd in high school that his company is targeting now. -
The majority of the time, when a funeral procession passes, I have no idea who it is for. Therefore if I pulled over to the side of the road for the hearse carrying Tsarnaev and stayed there as his procession passed by, I doubt that I would even realize it was him. I just pull over, I don't reasearch who's in the hearse before I decide. Some respect does not have to be earned. Respect shown to grieving families is a good example of that.

Last summer, my husband (who is from up North) and I were driving down Boulevard in downtown Atlanta which is a 4 lane road. A funeral procession approached in the other lane going in the opposite direction. I told him to pull over, he refused. He said you don't do that when they are in the opposite lane and that they don't do it all up North (at least not where he's from) regardless of what lane they are in. I did try to tell him that this wasn't Pittsburgh and that we do things differently here but I really didn't need to bother. The motorcycle cop traveling with the procession motioned for
