She was such a beautiful girl. Somebody knows something and most likely will never tell what they're hiding. It's almost as if that family had a black cloud over them. With three of the Ramsey women gone far too young (two of them very, very young). It's sad to see the three graves at the cemetery and all of the angels hanging from the tree next to her grave.

Great minds must think alike. I made this for my husband today. I have never heard about adding sausage before. I'll have to try that. I add ground beef.

I need milk for my coffee. I need coffee every morning. If there's any chance of ice on the roadways and being stuck in the house for a few days, I pick up extra milk to get me through whatever mother nature throws at us. You use bread to make sandwiches. If you are without electricity and can't cook meals, sandwiches are easy to make and don't need to be cooked or even heated up. I was stuck in the house for 3 or 4 days a couple of years ago when the roads iced over. I had enough milk for my coffee and all was well in my world.

38 Special - Rocking into the Night

I remember the ice storm in the early 70's. I was in first or second grade at the time and it was fun for a little while. My father cooked bacon and eggs in a pan on the grill outside and we camped out in front of the fireplace for a few days. Electricity was out for a week or so. When my mother had finally had enough,we downtown and stayed in a room at the Hyatt or the Hilton or something like that. I can't remember which one but I do remember that they had hot water for showers there and we didn't have that at home!

I forgot that one was even there.

Great. I-20 into downtown should be lots of fun Friday morning. Think I'll work from home and watch the highlights on the noon news.

They are not closed yet. Maybe soon but for now, this weekend, they are still open and serving.

Appalachian Grill in Cartersville has been good when I've eaten there. Or there's the overpriced restaurants in ATL that everybody flocks to like Bones, Prime, Ruth's Chris (excellent even if it is a pricy chain), Chops, Ray's on the River, Oceanaire Seafood, Hal's, etc., etc, etc. I like Dante's in Downtown even if it is a kitschy tourist trap. They are closing soon so that would be my choice for date night. One more trip to Dante's before they are gone forever.

What area are you looking for recommendations in? Local in Paulding or are you looking further out in the metro Atlanta area?

Another vote for the Canadian side. Much more to do on that side. I love, love, love Niagara-on-the-Lake! It's not too far from the falls and you can stop and visit the areas wineries on the drive to NOTL.

I like the Fontana Dam/Lake/Village area in North Carolina. It's beautiful, in the Smoky Mountains and there are miles of different hiking trails in the area. Last time I was there, a big bear lumbered across the trail in front of me.

I don't tend to stock up for snow but I do when rain and freezng temps are forecast! Rain & lows in the 20s equal ice. I got stuck on the ice in Douglasville trying to get home from work two years ago. This was after being stuck in my house for a couple of days because of icy roads. I can drive in snow and rain but ice is different. Given a possibility of ice, I just opt to stay home now instead of driving into Atlanta for work. I have coffee, milk, TP and peanut butter so I'm set.

Nick's on MLK Drive in downtown Atlanta. It's two blocks from the Capitol and across the street from Daddy D'z BBQ. I've eaten at the Grecian Gyro in Hapeville many times when I worked in Hapeville. They are both really good.

Do Alcoholics Benefit From Medications For Withdrawal Symptoms?
SusieQ404 replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Where would someone receive that kind of medication---in our area---aa an outpatient? Per your question above, AA is a support group, they do not dispense medicine. Your friend should consult with their doctor. -
My husky/lab mix not only was a terrible shedder, he had really bad skin issues. He would lick and scratch himself raw. Switching him to a grain and gluten free diet has helped him tremendously. It is definitely worth a try for you to switch for a month or two and see if it will help your dog. It costs more for us to buy food now but we make up for it with less visits to the vet.

Graycliff from the Bahamas. I used to buy them for a former boss for Christmas. There a number of different lines to choose from and can run you anywhere from $2.50 to around $22 per cigar. Something in the middle of their product line would be a nice gift.

That sounds yummy! -
The only gun in my house as a child was my brother's BB gun. He didn't shoot his eye out but he did shoot me in the chest with it while only standing about three feet in front of me. I was reminded of that recently went I had to have a biopsy after my mammogram showed something unusual. The test result came back as something to effect of scar tissue from previous trauma. I still need to get him back him for that!

I filled up at the K-roger on Ridge for $2.89 per gallon. Love that 10 cents off per gallon points program their stores have.

Churches That Offer Vegetarian Options? Loving Support ...
SusieQ404 replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Butterfly Lion you have been asking about area churches for at least 3 years (and possibly longer). You've inquired about everything from Seventh Day Adventists to churches that lay hands on the sick, churches with grandparent programs and so many other things. Now you want to know if any area churches cater to vegetarians. It seems to me that if you’ve been looking this long, you’ve had time to go to every church in the area yourself and probably answer your own questions. Church is a personal matter and you are never going to find one that has every single little thing you are seeking. You -
We don't carry cash so normally I wouldn't have any reason to go in my husband's wallet and he normally has no reason to be in my purse. Rarely he may need something in there like stamps or advil and I tell him to just go in there and get it. On those few occassions, he usually can't find what he's looking for and it takes him twice as long to locate it as it would me. Finding things in my bottomless pit of a purse is a frustrating experience for him so I just do it myself.
