  1. Democraps always cry foul! There was never much fuss made when they kept interrupting Bush with their boos and shouts. But when a Republican gives them some of the same medicine...
  2. Yes, but it won't have near the features available in Microsoft Word.
  3. I know my sister-in-law was forced to testify against my brother about certain facts of their case, even though they tried to claim spousal privilege. If she wants to testify she can. The issue would be to what can she be 'forced' to testify.
  4. One good turn deserves another.... My Sister in law I was a very happy person. My wonderful girlfriend and I had been dating for over a year, and we decided to get married. There was only one little thing bothering me...it was her beautiful younger sister. My prospective sister-in-law was twenty-two, drop-dead gorgeous, wore very tight miniskirts and was generally bra-less. She was frequently flirtatious with me and would regularly bend down when she was near me and provide more than a passing view of her fancy panties. It had to be deliberate; it had happened too often and
  5. A vehicle at 15 mpg and 12,000 miles per year uses 800 gallons a year of gasoline. A vehicle at 25 mpg and 12,000 miles per year uses 480 gallons a year. So, the average clunker transaction will reduce US gasoline consumption by 320 gallons per year (800-480=320). They claim 700,000 vehicles - so that's 224 million gallons a year. That equates to a bit over 5 million barrels of oil saved. 5 million barrels of oil is about ¼ of one day's US consumption. And, 5 million barrels of oil costs about $375 million dollars at $75 a barrel.. The Government "clunker" buy bac
  6. Time to get your 50,000 mile checkup. I did. They found that I had an aortic aneurysm and a defective aortic valve. Had it not been caught it could have ruptured and I would have bled out before getting to the hospital.
  7. I guess that would be true if the bank was going to sell the home, that they would have to catch up the taxes but I just checked our street and I found one home that's been owned by the bank for at least 4 years but hasn't paid the taxes for last year and I would doubt they would pay this year's either. I guess the banks don't have to worry about paying the taxes since they own the home and the county tax commissioners surely don't want to do anything that would cause them to end up with the property on their books and having to sell it.
  8. I can see it now. Laser targeting from above based on those GPS coordinates. "Wasn't that person being disruptive and questioning the integrity of the President at one of those Health Care Town Hall meetings? Let's teach him a lesson." Zap!!! "Look, he's still moving, crawling back toward his front door. Quick! Zap him again!"
  9. If you think that's bad, just wait until you're 'unfriended' by a member (married into) of your family. Of course, no love lost...
  10. I'm glad there was such an uproar of distrust about his speech that it caused them to revise it and try to make it non-political.
  11. Who is going to be the person who will have the date time stamp on their post at 09:09 AM 09/09/09? Hmmm?
  12. I'm surprised no one has said anything about the David Austin campaign sign at the end of Rosedale. When are they supposed to come down? It really tells the truth about politicians though - Always running for the next election. [/hijack]
  13. I will never fly Air Tran again. From Atlanta, I always fly Delta.
  14. Or you can upload the video to Imageshack and post the link to that. http://img190.imageshack.us/i/lakevx.mp4/
  15. Ours went down by $24.52. My taxes have gone up 50% over the last 10 years but down by 1% over last year. I guess the good thing is, is the bank shouldn't be adjusting my escrow payment this time around to adjust for higher taxes. But, how in the world will we ever pay for all that green space in the forest, that new airport and the new courthouse at this rate?
  16. Does anyone know if they have sold ANY of those fancy homes just downwind from there? It appears they've been vacant now for at least 3 years and dropped their price on the sign from $320K to $280k. I would imagine they would take even less.
  17. A blind man enters a lady's bar by mistake. Finding his way to the bar, he orders a drink. After a few drinks he yells, "Does anybody want to hear a blonde joke?" The place gets silent. Then a woman with a deep, husky voice sitting to the right of the man says, "Sir, since you are blind, I think it is only fair to let you know that: The bartender is a blonde woman. The bouncer is a blonde woman. The woman on your left is blonde and a professional wrestler. I'm a six foot tall blonde woman with a black belt in karate. The woman next to me is blonde and a professional weight lifte
  18. Did you hear about the Blonde stealing a police car? Yeah, she saw the 911 on the back of the car and she stole it thinking it was a Porsche.
  19. Oh yeah? A blonde was driving home and got caught in a really bad hailstorm. Her car was covered with dents, so the next day she took it to the repair shop. The shop owner saw that she was a blonde and decided to have some fun. He told her just to go home and blow into the tail pipe really hard and all the dents would pop out. So, the blonde went home, got down on her hands and knees and started blowing into her tail pipe. Nothing happened. She blew a little harder and still nothing happened. Her roommate, also a blonde came home and said, "What are you doing?" The b
  20. I'm actually looking forward to Christmas this year. Last December I was at home recovering from open heart surgery and our gift to each other was making it through it.
  21. Did anyone expect a politician not to "act" like a politician?
  22. I'm sure the Water department isn't going to own up that it might be their problem. Obviously, you've done something to turn your water brown - in their opinion.
  23. I feel for his family. I sincerely hope that the Democrats don't try to capitalize on his death in an attempt to move forward on socialized health care. That would be so low. But Obama's Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel has said "you never want a serious crisis to go to waste."
  24. I've kept our land line 1) for my alarm system and 2) as a backup when the cell signal goes or cable (Internet) goes out. Comcast keeps trying to get my to accept their bundle but they don't have any back up plan when the cable goes out. Since I work from home I have to have a backup line and spending 4 hours a day on a cell phone doing demos or training sessions on an iffy cell signal doesn't go over well with prospects or our management.
