  1. Mount Nebo United Methodist Church ant the town of Nebo was named after Mount Nebo in Jordan, the final resting place of Moses.
  2. I dream every night. Sometimes, if I have some problem to solve, I'll sleep on it and the answer will come in a dream --- can't always remember it in the morning tough. Sometimes, it's the TV show I saw at 10pm. Sometimes it's scary family stuff. At least onvce a week, itwakes me up somewhere between 3am and 6am.
  3. Signs say that they are open for visitors for a couple of hours on Saturdays.
  4. Here's the STORY The State will lose a bunch in matching grants if it dosn't keep up the funding. Maybe some of that will got to the Dallas Theatre?
  5. My son-in-law has been out of work since ovember of 2008, one month before our grandchild was born. Hes been applying steadily and seldom got called. He ecided to take colloege courses until they do. That's how we get to watch out granddaughter while his mom works and he goes to school.
  6. If a spellcheck is all that is driving you nuts in IE8, you're lucky. Every time I go to a secure website, it asks me if I want to also see the unsecure items. Ayone know how to turn that check off? Also, There is an add-on that IE8 reports is not working every time I close a tab. That's the worst two.
  7. We visited for the 2nd time yesterday -- both times to bring an assortment of goodies to a party. On both occasions, the guests raved about your cake, browenies, cookies and other pastries.
  8. Passed the Blockbuster by Publix in New Hope and they had a sign --- last 4 days. DVDs are 99 cents. Wasn't able to stop and don't know if they updated sign, so it could only be 2 days left.
  9. For sure, and why does Hiram or the state allow left turns from Main Street onto 92 South? We go up to Oak to turn South at the light, but at least they can go up to Church Street to do that.
  10. AASHTO. Now, that's funny --- describes the situation perfectly --- say it 5 times fast!!! But, seriously folks --- making them wait in line by the stinkfields when it's backed up is even funnier. If they're doing it for the hospital complex, they only have to widen a short strip south of 278. Use the rest to fix the Hiram Sudie intersection. I'm sure the county can set the speed limit.
  11. No, this was posted today: TOPIC And, there is supposed to be an Open House in Cobb, on the 24th I beleive, about construction on Hardy Parkway (120).
  12. wait until they get down to Hiran Sudie Road. There have been enough accidents down there already from folks turning left without being able to see oncoming traffic. They should flatten that corner and make the lights so the left turns are separate from the folks going straight.
  13. A brief item in the AJC today: $4 million Paulding road widening is approved A widening project for the busiest county road in Paulding County was approved unanimously by the Paulding County Board of Commissioners. The $4.3 million widening of Bill Carruth Parkway from two to four lanes should take about 18 months, said Scott Greene, the county's transportation di¬rector. E.R. Snell Contractor of Snellville will do the work. The 1.3-mile project will stretch from U.S. 278 to the Norfolk Southern Railroad bridge. CAROLYN CUNNINGHAM, FOR THE AJC Of course, I have to ask why it wasn't b
  14. MIne's only $110/yr, so I must be in a different part of Paulding -- of course there are no amenities. I have a small condo up North for visiting family. where it's $209/mo and if you have a rental they tack on an extra $500/yr. Apparently, up North, renters cost the subdivision money.
  15. We go to Harrys occasionally for specialty items we can't find in local stores -- try the vidalia tomato sauce. For produce, I thought someone would mention West Metro Meat and Produce by now, which I'm still meaning to try, but Harry's is excellent.
  16. 101 is just a couple of miles away via Goldmine Rd, so you'll only need the spur to I-75.
  17. The part from Dallas Highway South into the new East West Connector was built after than.
  18. There is some GRTA service from 3 locations in Clayton to Atlanta, but it's a big hardship to those who were using C-tran.
  19. Did you check out Vacation Rental by Owner? We've always gtten nice places and good deals from them.
  20. Did you pay for the Homeowner's Title Guarantee insurance at closing? It's a small amount and worth it. If you did ad there is any liablility, they'll take care of it.
  21. Only problem with that is that it's way on the bottom. If you're somewhere in between, just hit the Home key on your keyboard.
  22. The 176 quarter-acre homes plus two strip malls was approved by the zoning commission a couple of years ago (2007-04-Z), was tabled by the Board of Commissioners ad hasn't been voted on yet. At any time they can bring it back up and pass it without a hearing. Rumour is that it was tabled because the property tax would go up if it was passed and there was no way the homes could be built in the current economic climate. Applicant was one of Sherin's friends.
  23. You've got the wrong map or at least not the Georgia portion. See the original description HERE
