  1. Yep, we go through the router from the laptop to our desktop's printer. No problem once the permissions are set up. But, would like a recomendation for a small portable wreless printer I can take with my laptop while on vacation.
  2. I saw that the Zany Zoo Puppet Show will be at the Dallas Theatre on July 10th @ 4pm and was thinking about bringing my 19 month old granddaughter (Must remember to put up an older pic of her). His website says all ages, but I wonder if she'll be too young for it. She's into Elmo and Yo Gabba Gabba. Has anyone ever seen him before.
  3. Hiram has their festivities on the 3rd as does Marietta. Homespun Festival in Rockmart is July 16th & 17th. Always excellent.
  4. I was surprised to see he hadn't posted it. Even though he's not participating in pcom, he doesn't have to read the posts.
  5. Hos station list doesn't list any PBS stations in Georgia.
  6. I dodn't notice he's been off since May. I'm assuming it was politics that got him ticked off.
  7. An e-mail from the West Cobb Business Association notes that Joe Turner will appear on CBS 46 (WGCL) "Better Mornings Atlanta" on Wednesday, June 30. The Society of American Magicians (SAM) is holding its annual convention in Atlanta this summer, and Joe is a featured performer on the Wednesday evening gala show highlighting magic in Atlanta . Joe was asked by the SAM's national PR chairman to appear on "Better Mornings Atlanta" to promote the event. The convention produces a large show each evening from Wednesday through Saturday at the Atlanta Hilton downtown. Tickets are availa
  8. From today's AJC: Rules on lead are slow to spread On April 22 , the Environmental Protection Agency implemented new rules for renovations of homes built before 1978. The rule is called RRP, which stands for “renovate, repair, and paint.” The RRP rule is arguably the most sweeping intrusion of the federal government into the home repair and renovation industry in the history of our nation. In a nutshell, the RRP rule makes it a federal crime to disturb more than 6 square feet of painted surface in any room, or to disturb more than 20 square feet of painted surface on a hom
  9. You do know that one reason that PC built the airport was to prevent Atlanta from using their land in PC for a second airport.
  10. Googled --- found Goats on a roof much closer than the one in Memphis
  11. We stayed just across the river in West Memphis Arkansaw, which is much less expensive and close to everything. Be sure to visit http://www.sunstudio.com/ where it all started --- definitely enjoyed the tour.
  12. We've had a bunch of newspapers in the car to deposit for several days and have been checking Nebo to see if the ones in their dumpsters have been collected. Not yet --- can't leave them in the car any longer --- does the other school on Nebo or one off of Ridge have collection dumpsters or papers?
  13. So, some time ago, one or two lanes by the Kroger gas station on Ridge Rd were fenced off and removed. Nw, two more have been fenced off --- only two double lanes left. Haven't seen any signs or posts on here. Anyone know what's going on? Was it flood related?
  14. I know that, Good Mews, the no-kill cat shelter in east Cobb, took in several cats from the Paulding Shelter --- have they been asked to return the cats?
  15. I don't have a problem with them asking for ID, but in 30 years or more, I've only been asked a few times, usually when it's the first time I use the card. I also set it up online, so that transactions over a certain amount cause me to get an e-mail from the bank.
  16. If you are going to go to Kennesaw for salads, go to Sweet Tomato on Barrrett Parkway. They're wonderfull. http://www.souplantation.com/locations/ Enter your e-mail at the top of the page and get coupons all year.
  17. Tweet of the day The Atlanta History Center, which doles out historic gems at @atlhistcenter. Sunday marked the 90th anniversary of the law banning the practice of shipping kids through the mail. The National Postal Museum says the law was prompted by an Idaho couple who in 1914 sent their 4-year-old daughter to see her grandparents by “mailing”her for 53 cents instead of paying train fare. A mail clerk delivered the child to her grandparents’home.
  18. Check out $12.50 Half Price Day Passes to Marietta's Montasia Amusement Park Expired offer, but look for other offers at http://livingsocial.com/ I received this through living social daily e-mails.
  19. So my wife and I were in Kolks today to buy a few things. Since we had two coupons, one for $10 off od $20 and the other for 20% off of all, we decided to check out separately. First me, with a non-kohls credit card --- small amount and the clerk suddenly asks to see my ID, which I wasn't expecting and had to fumble around until i found it. Then my wife, with a Kohls card, and she was asked for her ID too. Clerk said that someone came in and used someone else's card recently. None of the other stores are asking, but I'll bet they have had the same problem. Stanger, when we
