  1. A friend of mine is getting her accounting degree online with Phoenix. I'm not sure how much it costs, but she's been doing it now for like 2 years, and she loves the convenience of it. She should be done within a year.
  2. I do mayo & ketchup. And I only do that at Chick-fil-a...nowhere else!
  3. I have a friend who just went in June, and he said it was the most PERFECT vacation EVER. He said that the food was perfect, that there wasn't a moment when somebody wasn't trying to put a drink in his hand, he said the housekeeping was amazing, and they did an excursion but it wasn't snorkeling. I'm thinking that he said they went to the ruins or something. He said the travel agent advised him to take $100 spending $! He said of course he took more than that but he didn't spend what he took. He also said that he met a couple down there that had booked their trip through one of
  4. In both of those situations, medical payments would have been the coverage that would have paid out. The highest limit you can get for medical payments coverage (which covers you and your passengers) is usually $50,000. Medical payments is a coverage you can have whether you have comprehensive and collision or not. The only thing I was suggesting that someone do was to leave off the coverages which covered the damage to the vehicle itself. If you have a car that's only worth $2500, and you would be paying $2500 per year for a policy including comprehensive and collsion vs. paying $80
  5. Yep, my mom used to own a restaurant, and she kept that stuff on hand at all times. I think it's prescription, though.
  6. Teen boys are a KILLER on the wallet! I work in insurance, and I always suggest to parents to buy something they can pay cash for, not carry comp & collision on, and can afford to replace if it's totalled. In all reality, if you're paying for comprehensive and collision on a male teen driver...you could afford to buy a new CHEAP car every year for what you pay in premiums! And just FYI, if you don't carry comp and collision, your premium will be the same no matter WHAT kind of vehicle it is. Liability is rated on the driver, not the vehicle. It may vary a few dollars if yo
  7. Prayers for Peggy & family. My daddy and Kerry were best friends when they were young, and my family has always thought so much of them all.
  8. Good morning, LR! All the kids got off to school okay...my youngest started pre-k! I didn't cry, though...can't believe that! Sounds like you had a busy, fun weekend! We worked at the junkyard all weekend! It's coming together, and we are getting so excited! ETA: We also went to the Rodeo and heard Johnboy's daughter, Kelsi (my niece!!) and some other p.commers sing Saturday night! Kelsi & Mark Willix did a duet, and it was AWESOME!!
  9. Yep, he saw my son 10 years ago when he was a preemie. He was awesome!!
  10. Okay so we have another pregnant pcommer... Question for longtime locals...
  11. I thought we had it rough a couple years ago when my daughter couldn't seem to get rid of mono, so I can only imagine what you are going through. I was ready to pull my hair out and scream every day of the 39 that she woke up with a fever, and that seems like nothing compared to the issues you are facing. I think it's awesome that you are trying to remain positive. I will be praying for you and your family!! Don't tell God how big your storm is, tell the storm how big your God is!
  12. Old Time Pottery has old "looking" bottles of all kinds and they are super cheap. They aren't really vintage, but they look like they are.
  13. I had it last week. It felt just like the flu.
  14. Prayers for whatever you need to happen, and go smoothly! D@mn laundry!!
  15. Yes, that is how most replacement cost policies work.
  16. We're harvesting a huge field of cornstalks today, and was wondering how to dry them? We were thinking of just bundling them up in bunches and standing them upright to dry all around the junkyard, but is that the best way? Also, when I google it, it talks about keeping the squirrels & mice away from them...any ideas on how to do THAT?
  17. If you need someone to clean it up, call Xtreme Tree Worx! 770-895-4655 They can also check the other trees in your yard and see if any others are in danger of falling. That is scary that your son was headed for the trampoline!
  18. The guys are back out there working today, so I'll have some updated photos as the TUNNEL OF DEATH comes together!!!
  19. One of our sponsors, Crist Roofing! More TUNNEL OF DEATH construction...and the constructors! (Remember this is just the bones of the Tunnel, y'all...it's gonna be soooooo scary!)
  20. So we were thinking that we were going to be parking everybody for the Hayride at Dobbins, but it was settled today that it's gonna be at Panter Elementary! You'll park for FREE at the school, and ride a HAUNTED bus down to the Junkyard for the Hayride! This just makes the experience that much MORE FUN!
  21. Bring everybody to the hayride! I love the costume pic idea, Sage!
