  1. These posts certainly answer a lot of questions.
  2. There is a Thai restaurant in Hiram? Where?
  3. I'm stuck in St. Louis, so no Paulding Meadows for me. (It's a nice city and good food) BTW Glassdogs is another pcommer who "married up". In other words, we wonder how he suckered her into marriage. I am in the group of pcommers who "married up".
  4. Nice people those Surepips. Daisy kills me, she thought I was going to pet the cat (I was) and she ran the cat off so she could get the petting.
  5. Merle's has the best burgers. (sorry, I know it's a bbq thread)
  6. Nope, it goes like this. (or at least it used to) First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes (man's name) pushing a baby carriage.
  7. And owned and run by good people. William and Jeff and their family are really good, nice people.
  8. I can't help you with where to pick them. But it did remind me of when I was a kid. My grandfather had two groves (?) of muscadine vines. They were great to climb on and us kids loved to climb up them and sit and eat to our hearts content. But, if my grandfather saw you, you were in BIG trouble, because he too loved muscadine jelly and with 12 grandkids living around him, we rarely left any for my grandmother to make his jelly with.
  9. For a pork sandwich - Hickory Hut. For ribs - Uncle Bobo. I never cared for Jim & Nick, but it's the wife's favorite.
  10. Great place to take your pickup for dinner at 2am.
  11. It looks as if most posters would see me as part of the problem. Just remember that every community needs that old curmudgeon who rants and raves about the good old days and how these new changes are sending the land straight to heck on an express car, if for no other reason that we add character to the neighborhood. BTW My wife is all for making pot legal, but then again, she is a liberal.
  12. I have eaten all of the above and enjoyed them all.
  13. I remember in the 70's when the push was to lower the penalty for pot. There were those who said that by doing so we were on the famous slippery slope to legalizing it. The people that were for decriminalizing pot said, that is crazy talk. Now look where we are. While I am not for making pot legal, my comments are above are more about how that slippery slope is not as much of a myth as people would like to believe. BTW My reasons for not wishing for pot to become legal are simply based on the fact that once something like pot (or alcohol) becomes legal, it is almost impossible to then mak
  14. WOW! This really surprises me. I am shocked. Who would have thought that a woman in China would have boiled her husband in a pressure cooker? I would have thought she would have used a wok.
  15. A 12 year old boy playing in the road, at night, was his by a car. The child is in serious condition. CBS Atlanta Story
  16. That's ok, I have the same amount in the right. And we both may be still giving them too much credit. (yes, my glass is half full )
  17. Talk about a sugar rush. I like Cherry Garcia (it is my Ben & Jerry's flavor) but that sounds to sugary for me. BUT, I will never know for sure until I try it. (I have to wait till the wife is not around, she and the doc have some crazy notion that I am diabetic, but what do they know)
