I just wanted to say Hi. I was thinking about you this week.

I was born on Piedmont Hospital. (there's a plaque)

You must not have seen the new travel brochures. They now have a water park. The parents say they are; "well-intentioned but naive adventure seekers". That seems to be an understatement. "They really and truly believed that if people were loved and treated with respect that that would be given back to them in kind," said Linda Boyle, Boyle's mother. "So as odd it as it may seem to us that they were there, they truly believed with all their heart that if they treated people properly, they would be treated properly." I guess they now know better. Sad deal.

I have no problem with those who are ok with their teen (of whatever age) being talked to. I also have the exact same no problem with those who say, no.

I found this story interesting and incredible.

Now you know it was absurd because, that was what happened in real life. Apparently the police captain did tell the mother, take him home and try him out. Truth is sometimes stranger than fiction. -

Was the movie any good? -
On March 10, 1928, in Los Angeles, 9-year-old Walter Collins Jr. was last seen by a neighbor around 5:00 p.m.. His mother, Christine Collins, a telephone operator, had given him a dime to go to the movies at a nearby theater. His father, Walter Collins Sr., was serving time in Folsom State Prison for robbery. The police looked but couldn't find the boy. In August of that year, police in Dekalb, Ill., picked up a boy who gave his name as Arthur Kent. He told police that his father had abandoned him, but would say little else. Authorities kept questioning him and eventually he told them

Not the actions, but the response. A Jonesboro lady was charged with: "DUI Less Safe Alcohol, 7 counts of Endangering a Minor by DUI, Possession of Less than 1 Ounce of Marijuana, 3 counts of seatbelt violation, 4 courts of child safety seat violations, driving on a suspended license and giving a false name. The children in the car ranged from 2 to 12-years old." Link to Fox 5 news story: http://www.myfoxatlanta.com/story/25679180/woman-arrested-for-dui-with-7-children-in-truck#axzz33c3KrJII The cops say none of the kids were restrained, 4 kids were in the bed of the pickup, which was

Another example of why the death penalty...

I don't think anyone, including me, wants to see someone who legitimately doesn't understand what they have done receive the death penalty. -
I can tell you this, if you ask a young lady how much for hanky panky, that is negotiating for prostitution. Don't know if that helps answer your question. (no I do not know from 1st hand experience, I just watch a lot of COPS)

This will be an organizational meeting for the Board of Commissioners Citizen Study Committees for the Airport Authority and the Industrial Building Authority. This is a special called session, and the public is invited to attend however, there will be no public participation on any items." I am kinda slow, what exactly is the Board of Commissioners Citize -
Females do tend to use knives more than males, historically. They also tend to also use poison more than males, historically. I would think it has to do with males being more used to guns and (this will make me popular) females being more emotional and using whatever weapon is at hand.

Maybe we should ask those two dead girls if they are for the death penalty. I wonder what their answers would be. I know what their family's answer is. Especially the father and mother that have spent 25 years actively looking for their daughter's remains. In fact, just this year they dug up a large part of the area where Rowles' third victim was found, hoping against hope to bring their daughter home. I wonder if the girls would say, let the punishment fit the crime? -

I would think that since they had a toe print matching Rowles at the scene of the first murder, he was wearing a bandage on his toe and it came off during the murder. In fact, when the cops were questioning the neighbors, he came to the door with a new bandage on his toe, that is what alerted the cops to him to start with. Also, he confessed. So i would hope that pubby would not have an argument against this one. For those who say there are false confessions, I agree there are, so think twice before you confess to a capital murder you didn't commit. Just a suggestion. No need to -
Tough one. I think maybe I would carry a copy of his birth certificate, then when questioned I would ask, "As his mother who gave life to him, I say he is 12 and you say he is not. If I prove he is 12, then you can give us both the discount. Otherwise I suggest you take my word for it and just give him the discount."

is a deterrent to crime. In 1972 Paul Rowles killed a neighbor lady while living in FL. He was arrested and confessed to the attempted rape and murder. In 1976 he was sentenced to life in prison. In 1985, he was paroled and in 1988 he moved to Gainesville, FL. On Feb. 9, 1989 an attractive 18 year old female college student went missing while out for a walk. She has never been found. In March of 1992 another attractive 21 year old female went missing. Her body was found 11 days later. Paul Rowles then moved again, this time to Jacksonville, FL. In 1994 a 15 year old girl was abduc

I don't know if Red's humor would be able to make it today. I know I would enjoy it as much today as I did back in the day, but would he get the "numbers" and the "demographics" that are so important today? Heck, it is hard to get kids in their 20's and 30's to watch these type of shows, just once or twice, much less on an extended basis. (at least that is my experience) This is another thing that if I am wrong about, I will gladly be wrong. But it is good to know that so many think he would make it.

Hi Martina, I thank you for your being willing to put yourself out there for what you think is right. Whether I agree with the first part of your statement or not, really in the long run doesn't make a hill of beans. I also wish to thank all of the other people who attend and speak their piece at these meetings and elsewhere. There are many, but to name just a few, Tundra, Beach Bum, Pubby, Ponytail Patriot, Whitey and Mr.&Mrs. Surepip. I know I seem like I sometimes fence sit, but I, like I think majority of us, just want what is best for our county, our people and our future.

A very good friend of mine lives in Clayton County and has since the late 70's. This friend works with a lot of the Fulton County and City of ATL officials and he told me that several years ago several high ranking Fulton County officials and City of ATL officials told him that the plan was for black leadership to take over Clayton County and make it the next Fulton or Dekalb county. His exact words to me, "And damned if they didn't." This is not a comment on black elected officials, but rather on bad elected officials. They come in all sizes, colors and political affiliations.
