For what it is worth. I have said it before and I stick with it. If, and that is often a big IF, two people are determined to try and make a relationship work, are willing to get outside help if needed, they can make it work. But often these days, one or the other or both are not willing. Then you end up with a kid(s) that has parents that are separated. You got tased once, didn't cha? ETA, a good friend of mine was in a COPS episode back in the '90s. She was a deputy for the city of ATL. The producers gave her a tape of the unedited footage, which I watched. A few months later I saw the episode she was in on TV. While they do cut some of the boring stuff, the show that aired accurately depicted exactly what happened on the unedited footage.

Tough situation, but it sounds as if you are handling it as well as could be expected. At St. Joesph's hospital they had a patient advocate that you could see about these type of problems. Their job was to advocate for the patient. We had to speak with them one time.
