  1. That's because pcom was down during most of the show. I have liked Hailey from the beginning.
  2. Now, wait a minute. Everything you hear says to eliminate white sugar and white flour - but you still use both. Your family has lost weight (which I definitely need to do) but are you all healthier? I am all for eliminating artificial ingredients, chemicals and prescription meds but have had a hard time convincing my family. I keep telling them they need to switch to whole grains, but they love their white bread. (sorry PM for the hijack)
  3. Were you watching Live with Regis just now? How sweet. Carrie Ann Inaba from Dancing With the Stars, her boyfriend just proposed to her live on the show.
  4. I have the opposite problem. My hair is super straight, thinning, will not hold a style and I can't stand it in my face. Have been contemplating a short style but I want something age appropriate but not the typical grandma hairstyle. I have no patience or energy to put into styling my hair and don't have the money to go somewhere good to get it done.
  5. Those are very nice, it's hard to find flattering dresses.
  6. You are both in my thoughts this morning. From my own experience, it is not just their time of need but it becomes your time of need. You really need that time with them because you will regret not being able to tell them how much you love them and to be able to hug them at least one more time. I will be praying for you Lowrider and PWilhelm and I hope that you get to spend some real quality time with your mothers.
  7. I watched cartoons when I was little but never enjoyed them much when I got older, except maybe for Yogi and Boo-boo and the Flintstones. When my two grown sons were young we would watch Fraggle Rock together in the evenings at dinnertime. I think that was an HBO show.
  8. I looked for you on tv this morning on Good Morning America. Did you get to meet Sam?
  9. Mackenzie's mother posted on facebook early this morning that she has an air pocket that is hindering her breathing and they will be keeping her in nicu at least until tomorrow. Thank you for all of your prayers. Thank you for that reassurance.
  10. This just reminds me of when I was young and worked downtown Indianapolis. At lunch I would go to the department store and try on different perfumes and then go back to the office and no one ever complained about it. I guess I didn't put too much on. I wore White Linen for years, it had a nice fresh scent but then when I got pregnant in my forties I just stopped wearing perfume. For some reason scents bothered me a lot then. When the baby was born I just never started wearing it again because I didn't want to cause him problems and it's a good thing because he ended up having a mild case
  11. Thanks all. All I know right now is they're keeping Mackenzie in nicu overnight.
  12. I have been near tears all evening and your post is so sad. I lost my mom suddenly when she was 66. She lived in a different state and I had not spoken with her in about a month - kept meaning to call her but got too busy. I just hope you can keep your mother as comfortable as possible and spend as much time as possible with her. I'll be praying for you and your family.
  13. I have been trying to get on here for two hours to ask you all to pray for my new grandbaby. She is in NICU in Albuquerque for a pneumothorax. I have no experience with this so I'm praying it is not serious. I hate being so far from them. Thank you for your prayers.
  14. Your family has given you a great compliment, telling you that you have things to say that people will listen to. You could still be shy and do the blog and help people at the same time. Or maybe write a book. I envy people that can write stories that people want to read. Obviously you have been given a gift that you need to share, don't you think? I love that quote.
  15. Rori and the middle name is Jameson. Thanks! I like that idea of Mac, have to ask my son about that. Thank you.
  16. My oldest son turned 36 yesterday and now he shares a birthday with my newest grandbaby, my middle son's daughter. Mackenzie is her first name and Porter is her middle name. She was born at 12:40 a.m. but since they live in Albuquerque she was born on 3/29 at 10:40 PM. My dil went into labor at about 6:30 and 4 hours later the baby was born - and born at home in the bathtub. She is as beautiful as her big sister, Rori, who will be two next month.
