  1. That's what my son wants - cold weather. I lived in Indiana for 35 years and had enough snow. Now that I'm much older I'm ready for mild temps all the time.
  2. I was reading an article on abcnews.go.com about pole dancing being used as a fitness class for Christian women in a small Texas town. Once a month the women bring in a church bulletin and get a free pole fitness lesson which is done to Christian music.
  3. I don't think I'm going to be standing topless in front of the freezer anytime soon. I still have a teenager at home - that would ruin him for life. We had our heatpump checked early winter and they said it needed to be replaced - not the first time they have told us this and we ran it on emergency heat as needed during the winter. They said we would just be throwing our money away by putting freon in because of the leak. Fall is my favorite season too. Thanks!
  4. I had one in late March, early June and early September and the March birth was definitely the easiest.
  5. I didn't think you were being snotty. I've thought about the room air conditioner and if my husband was working right now I would seriously run out and get one. I know, what's the point in drying off? What's SSS?
  6. I know there aren't many that will agree with me but I'm ready for summer to be over. My air conditioner doesn't work, have no money to get it fixed (actually need new system), I don't like the warm temps and the pollen is really bothering me. As noted in other threads, the stingy insects are everywhere and you can't even walk out your door or work in your yard. The only good thing is the beautiful colors of things blooming. I need cooler temps, no pollen and no stingy insects - wonder where that would be.
  7. Thank you that is very sweet.
  8. I love it when I learn something new. Thanks! I don't think I did it right. I'll have to try again later. I still had to wait the 40 seconds between the replies.
  9. Thank you for the birthday wishes everyone. The least the facebook people could do after getting us hooked is to make sure it's working right all the time - don't you think?
  10. Thank you. I'm trying to wrap my head around the number 60.
  11. I just (like a little kid) wanted to see who all wished me happy birthday today and could not log on. I finally got on and didn't see any wishes on the page. I had to click on my profile to see all the posts on my wall wishing me happy birthday. Don't the posts on your wall usually show up on the page when you log in?
  12. Is anyone else experiencing trouble logging in on facebook today?
  13. There's also the other side where they always have it worse than you on everything, more tired, more bills, more work to do, more things to put up with.
  14. Thanks for the info, I'll keep an eye out.
  15. I don't know how you made the move so quickly but I'm sure you will be settled in and feeling at home in no time. Enjoy!
  16. I just told my husband to be quiet so I could concentrate on the end of the show and I should have known they wouldn't show it this week. I can't stand it!!!
  17. Welcome. Feel free to chime in anytime.
  18. They just said the child was seriously injured but is in stable condition.
  19. Watching the news and an accident on Macland in Cobb has sent a six year old to Scottish Rite. Please pray for the child.
  20. I don't think I would be too happy with being ticketed if I wasn't at fault and I wouldn't want my insurance company blaming me.
  21. I like to explore roads that I've not been down before, but my husband doesn't and neither does my son and I'm a little hesitant to do it alone. I have seen that road off of Dabbs Bridge. When gas prices go back down (if they do) I may go exploring, especially since my air is not working at home. At least I could be cool in my car.
  22. Yep, I nut up with just one. I could not/would not be a teacher or a bus driver.
  23. Back in the old days you settled it later on the corner or on the neighborhood playground.
  24. Maybe those videos need to be looked at (maybe they are already) by the ones in charge of the drivers and also by the parents of the riders.
