Just read on abcnews.go.com that Pia has been offered a recording contract and they are trying to rush her first album.

Bluegrass and a little bit of Johnny Cash, The Carters and Loretta Lynn.

Thanks for the info.

I just wonder if the anaphylactic symptoms can happen hours later or if they always happen soon after the sting.

He has an epipen but he says he's not going to use it. It's been a few hours and he is not having any breathing problems, no hives and doesn't feel any changes in his throat. He's more familiar with his symptoms than I am. Thanks for the advice.

Is it too late to use the epipen do you think? He doesn't have insurance so we're trying to avoid the ER.

DH was stung on lower arm about 2 inches from his elbow, this afternoon. He put some wet tobacco on for a few minutes then I told him to put vinegar on it. He also immediately took a benadryl because he is allergic to bee stings. He also used apple cider vinegar a little later and he has been using an ice pack every now and then plus he put some hydrocortisone on it. He is swollen from above the elbow down to almost the wrist. Has anyone experienced a wasp sting before and how much swelling did you have?

Interesting documentary on PBA30 right now about the Appalachians. The music is great.

My favorite aunt used to say that one. There are a several words that I hear teenagers say that make me cringe, but I'm not going to repeat them.

I'm not real crazy about vaseline for dry skin - doesn't help me very much. Tea tree oil works on fungus too. Apple cider vinegar helps calm diarrhea from something you have eaten. We used vinegar today when dh met up with one of those mean ole red wasps on the deck. Now does anyone have a home remedy that is humane for dealing with a mouthy teen-age boy?

Totally agree and I would like to lodge a complaint against people that think their sheez doesn't stink and everything about them is perfect and the rest of us are losers!! BTW, I like your new avatar.

Has Anyone Found Any Natural Allergy Remedy That Works?
Sugail replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I have a sinus wash bottle that I got at Rite-Aid that I put about a teaspoon of sea salt and a pinch of baking soda with distilled water and I use that every day, sometimes twice a day. I also gargle with sea salt water when my throat feels scratchy. The only allergy medicine I will take is a generic chlorpheniramine maleate (chlortabs). It can be taken every 4 hours. My husband likes alavert -dissolves in your mouth. He used to take a generic loratidine but like the alavert better. He also used to use Afrin a lot but I've gotten him to where he will just use saline and he is outside a l -
I Like Nonfiction Books; Health, Arts & Crafts, Etc.

I prefer nonfiction books also but can't read much right now - need new glasses. My son gets frustrated when his lit class goes to the library at school and the teacher tells him he has to get a fiction book and will chase him out of the nonfiction section. He hates to read but he will read historical books. -
They ended up being okay except for one problem - didn't last long enough or I didn't make enough.

I was told that it has something to do with patient confidentiality. I don't work in a doctor's office so I don't know that for a fact, but that's what I was told.

I would much rather wait in the waiting room than the exam room simply because I start feeling claustrophobic and feel like I can't breathe. I will sometimes get up and open the door a little which I know you are not supposed to do - depends on how long I have had to wait.

We all need to remember that there is a person on the other end of the phone with a set of problems of their own.

I have never worked anywhere where you could only make phone calls on your lunch break, but it must be very challenging to take care of issues, especially when you not only have questions or appointments not just for yourself but for children.

That's what I thought too but last night on the weather they said the humidity was only 36% so I just don't know. They did eventually set just a little but not like they're supposed to.

You both make good points.

Maybe you could run the name of the business by one of the pcom businesses to see if they know anything about them to ease your mind. You could get a pod from fitfabandfree to put your things in until they're done.

I've never smoked so I don't know too much about it except I know it's hard too quit. My husband has tried several times and my two oldest sons have tried. My mom put them down many years ago and never smoked again, however it was harder for my dad but he did it. Does visualization help? Maybe picture your daughter or your new little one with black lungs every time you think you need a cigarette, since they say second hand smoke is so bad. Even if you don't smoke around them it's still on your clothes, your hair and your breath. Just tell yourself if you don't quit you will make your kids

I'm sure she will have a career in music anyway. She will probably do better without American Idol now that she has been seen nationally.
