  1. We can do that no problem... depending on the size and if you have the graphic id figure 10-15 dollars.
  2. That's so nice, thank you. The crew trys real hard. It's tough to manage since the Marines have me gone until fall of next year at least. The food lion is supposed to go in at Macland and 92 one intersection north. It looks like they are backing out of that one though. They were trying to pitch me to put another store at the proposed food lion, but I already have the rights to the seven hills region. Judging by the economy, the foreclosures, and the business closings, I'm glad I've held off on developing Seven Hills. Glenn
  3. He's pulling your leg, the owner just harvested the timber....
  4. I'd believe it. You've got at least two 747s, a bunch of C-5's a few helicopters, a couple of Limos, a fleet of suburbans, the state dept, the advanced party, the protection detail, the support staff.... Heck, most don't even know that with pilot time, fuel, mechanic time and estimated parts wear, it runs just north of 10K just to light the engines on one of those jets...
  5. Came back to work this morning to find that one of the Marines I work with here in New Orleans was stabbed to death on Bourbon Street after the Marine Corps Birthday Ball Saturday night. I have always known this is a dangerous place, but to be stabbed while wearing Dress Blues on an American street?? It's a sad day.... http://www.kristv.com/news/tuloso-midway-grad-murdered-in-new-orleans/
  6. We are just waiting for him to cross into the Publix shopping center. I will absolutly not lose sleep over having Paulding come out. We merchants don't mess around inside the Inland shopping center territory.
  7. They don't. Once you fall off the weekly certification required to claim unempliyment you drop off the radar. Then you become part of the "underemployed" statistic. No idea how they calculate that one other than statistical sampling, but I think I read the underemployed number, (counting those on unemployment as well) tops 23%.
  8. I have it on good intel that the land at the New Hope intersection next to Walgreens, across from Right Aid has finally sold, and will become a McDonalds. Additionally, and auto-parts store is going to be placed in the old Blockbuster and Merle Norman space. I'm conflicted on that one, but anything is better than empty space.
  9. That's agitating right there!!!! Business is hard enough at New Hope without having someone running off customers from the area.
  10. I'm sure they are like most franchises. Corporate suggests the pricing on some, and they might have leverage to modify on others. In my case, I have no control over the pricing of shipping. I also have to follow a very carefully orchestrated suggested list of pricing by corporate on most other items, but I can modify the pricing on those select items. For example, I am supposed to charge 2.50 for a fax. I only charge .89. However, it is becoming harder and harder since every time I look someone else is raising their price on me. Boxes have gone up 30% since January, the phon
  11. It is indeed a privately owned franchise. One single guy with his life's dream on the line. It's just sad anyway you slice it.
  12. That's some of the saddest news I have heard in a long time. They are good people and will be a huge loss to the East Paulding community.
  13. I will say that there have to be a lot of sad stories there. I saw one restaurant that owed 48K. That owner put his life saving into a place that ate his dream. He lost the business, closed it's doors, has nothing to fall back on, and now the penalties and interest will continue to grow. That kind of thing does not go away with bankruptcy filing. Additionally, I will say that the agencies are not infallable. I just got a letter from the IRS detailing 125K in unreported income and my penalty alone was 7900 dollars along with $45,000 in additional taxes. The accountant had to point out
  14. It's embarrassing to admit that if we were to install gates at the entrances....we'd only be keeping them in. In every case, the drive by last year, the drug busts, the car break ins, the rampant vandalism... They have all been residents or the children of residents.
  15. Oh, Heck no. It does not stop there! Riverwood subdivision in New Hope has in the last week suffered $20,000 dollars in vandalsim by neighborhood kids. They knocked down and destroyed 15 street poles, and ripped off the ornamental brackets that hold the street names. They paintballed the gazebo, shattered the pool tables, and destroyed sections of the fence protecting the pool. Riverwood residents are angry, and making random patrols throughout the night. We are going to catch the little monsters... and god help them when we do.
  16. Mrs G, swing by the East Paulding UPS Store. My "Tape Kitty" is for ya'll. I've collected a little over $100. Most stores charge a customer a dollar or two when they bring in a flopped open box with a prepaid label and expect the UPS Store to tape their box. At about $85 for a case of tape it really adds up. I think that is bad business and try to talk them into putting a dollar into the tape kitty instead. It's not much but I hope it helps. Glenn
  17. I use Cbeyond. I get two cell phones (1 is a black berry), a fax to email, two dedicated phone lines, and two dedicated fax lines, across a t-1 fibre network for 525 per month. I was paying bellsouth business 450 just for two lines, and a fax line. Then there was $80 for the internet, and then another 10 for two cell phones over at verizon.... Cbeyond made life way easier, and brought everything together for a single bill.
  18. Here at Marine Forces Reserve, one of the Staff Sergeants bought the set. We all (the G-3 shop) do the Insanity workout daily at lunch. It makes Marines cry.... literally. One of the staff Sergeants was taken to the hospital, and after a few hours at the ER and a radioactive dye they figured out he tore the sack tht the heart lives in inside the chest cavity. I think they said the pericardium?? He's on light duty for a while, a really long while... But dang it's a good workout..... Shana's Fit-U is supposed to be really good too. I think there is something really valuable in having

    Celexa?

If I miss a few days on the rare occasion that I'm too lazy to walk over to Publix, it makes me yawn non stop. Not because I'm tired, it just triggers something that makes me yawn. I take mine at bedtime as well.
  20. So wait, this guy professes that ladies who like to "have their itch scratched" are the cause of allah's wrath, and the bringers of earthquakes, but at the same time aren't they blowing themselves up to get to the afterlife where 72 virgins await. I'm so confused now...
  21. UPS Corporate admitted that we (The UPS Store) were outspent on a 3 to 1 basis for advertising over the past year by the Postal Service with their flat rate box commercials. I might be wrong, but if they stopped spending Millions and Millions on TV advertising that might help just a little. Kind of like TP on a shaving cut....Oh wait they are hemmoraging like they just came from the guilliotine....Never mind.
  22. Do you live in Riverwood? Three years ago, our dues were 475, then 650, then 800, and now this year $1500! Our developer has done nothing in our neighborhood to maintain the community, but he was able to budget a 35,000 dollar "loan repayment" He just recently put leins on 95% of the homes in the neighborhood.
  23. Riverwood has been hit hard too. The residents here have had enough. We have roving night patrolls, will call the cops in a heartbeat, and are not afraid to leave the perps zip tied naked to our clubhouse with a big old Riverwood R pained on their chest.
  24. If you had a mailbox at the UPS Store, your mail would be friday night vandal proof..... Sorry, that was a shameless plug When I was younger, our box got hit every Friday night one particular year. By the third night my dad placed a hefty garbage bag full of Red acrylic enamel paint inside the box. He reinforced the sides with some of that black superstorng duct tape. The lid of the box barely stayed closed. That third Friday night the box got whacked. The tape reinforced the sides and the paint went in one direction. The next morning all he had to do was criuise the neighborhood and
  25. I think the way funnier part was the severe duress in his voice inflection when he said he was just trying to control the car and that he was doing 81....Whatever he does, he should not ever travel to Atlanta and try to navigate 75, 285, or 400, If your only doing 81, your getting run over.
