Someone pointed out that if an outbreak started in Central America, we could be completely overwhelmed by the mass exodus. The claim is that it is racism that caused the delay in Duncan receiving any special medicine. The reverend claims that Duncan wasn't given the meds until he gave out the hospital phone number and urged listeners to call and complain. Of course he claims credit for it, but how many listeners can he have - 5?

Any move to stop this or prevent it from happening in the future will be immediately labeled as racism. The left is not interested in preserving our way of life if it means losing potential voters. Their go-to claim/accusation is racism - just like they used it to counter suggestions of a west Africa travel ban. When the majority of the most vocal people are stupid, we get what we deserve.

I mostly agree with you. I would add that there are some types of people who need to be ruled by a heavy hand and no other way can or will work.

I think we should move to do away with all political ads on TV and radio. A politician should have better judgement that to use a beheading for any political gain - unless his opponent was the one who did the beheading. On a side note, I think everyone should watch the numerous beheading videos so they are very well acquainted with who our enemy really is. And, should you decide to watch one, be advised that you cannot un-see it. Ever.

I bet Captain Kangaroo is turning in his grave over this kind of violence.

I find it very interesting that a few people - including trained medical personnel - have gotten this virus, though they supposedly followed the recommended precautions. It wouldn't surprise me to (eventually) learn that there is more than one strain of the virus out there now.

Two things: 1 - Nice try! You most certainly did call him an idiot and it is/was clear in the context of your comment. B - TP's feigned embrace of what is right and logical was as transparent as your journalistic intentions, so there was nothing to defend and nobody to welcome.

First and foremost, we are not anti-government - we are anti- abusive/intrusive government. Second, you always struck me as anti-government, so I don't know what light you are talking about.

Think about it another way . . . People around here take their kids to daycare and/or send them to school sick (fever, coughing, hacking, etc.), while others go to work sick because they only care about themselves and what they need and/or what is convenient for them. There is no concern about getting others sick. People wouldn't even give up a ticket to a sporting event or a concert just because they are sick. In the end, it's "F everybody, I'm doing what I want to do" - and it's a global thing.

When bureaucrats, who often have too much "power", have the ability to reinforce their power trips with weapons - there is a serious problem. But then we all know our government has a serious problem anyway.

You could always just run screws in the tires. That way you get traction and a box of screws doesn't cost much.
