  1. No God. No laws (given how they arrived here in the first place). And there can hardly be any loyalty to this country. Why bother? Give them BDUs and a rifle . . . and call them "American" soldiers.
  2. The same reason the millionaire brought so much money and so many possessions. The underlying message of the show was that fame and fortune can't save you from everything and that, in the end, we are all the same. Anybody else have some random thoughts? Clowns, kittens, brown paper (or plastic) bags?
  3. First, who the hell cares what maher says? Second, that's not a bad plan. There are a lot of assumptions, but all in all not bad.
  4. You are probably right about both, now that I think about it.
  5. Before that, I don't know why anyone would. After that, I don't know why anyone wouldn't.
  6. That's my problem with a lot of shows: if they would (or wouldn't) do X, then it would have been fine. Instead of a several year run . . . 2 episodes. Ugly people who think they can sing? If they are aware they are ugly (and don't try to act like they are "all that) and I can tell them to shut up . . .no problem. Otherwise, I hope they have a really, really, really good personality. I was referring to Office Space the movie. You know if it was real life, people would have been hooking up. I think Mary Ann would have went for the Professor, while Ginger probably wo
  7. LOL By the by, I only use LOL if I actually L'ed OL.
  8. First . . . The island that Gilligan and his shipmates were stranded on was not very big. It seems to me that they would have had the entire thing searched within a couple of days - a week at most. So why is it they discovered things (from time to time) months after getting stuck there? (a crashed airplane comes to mind) Second . . . I wonder which is worse: a person that thinks they can sing when they really can't; or a person who thinks they are handsome/beautiful when they really aren't? I don't want to hear the "singer", and I don't want to be around someone fla
  9. There needs to be some alternative punishments introduced for non-violent crimes.
  10. It was probably a bad idea to give the dog crack in the first place. I just give our dogs meth.
  11. If this is true, it is a slap in the face to everyone who has ever volunteered to serve in our military. There are so many hoops to jump through, so many "proofs" that must be provided, so many checks that must be made . . . and now what? Here is the oath of enlistment, for example: How the hell is this supposed to work for people who don't follow the law in the first place?
  12. You know even less than I figured. It seems that you know rhetoric really well, but that's no accomplishment. To say that I want to destroy ISIS/ISIL/IS because they are Muslim is ignorant on your part. Frankly, I am for destroying every real enemy of our country - IF there is no other option (aside from your courses of action which are surrender or avoidance). Am I reactionary? Yes. As are we all. However, I am not knee-jerk . . . well, not all the time. My reaction to your last post is that you try too hard to sound intelligent, only to come across as everythi
  13. If crime is truly dropping, meaning there are fewer criminals, then we should feel safer. If there are still as many criminals, but they are getting off with lighter punishment - if any - then that wouldn't make anyone feel as safe. Personally, violent criminals need to be put away and kept away.
  14. I'll be honest with you: I didn't read anything past this ↑ This is about the fact we are fighting radical Islam, the fact that this fight cannot be avoided (no matter how hard we hope and wish it could be). Yet you, Mr. All-in Liberal, is trying to make this about your complaints with the republicans. You really need to change the needle on your record player.
  15. I thought that was Sunday! You should have said something.
  16. Surrender? By giving up because you either don't believe in the cause, or because you are afraid, or because you are on the verge of defeat. For some here, the first two apply.
  17. I am no fan of the current congress - I don't care for many of them. But to say that holder was a better person than any of them is certainly your opinion, misinformed as it is.
  18. No, not indicted - you can thank a do-nothing congress for that, because he was held in contempt of congress . . . and that's where it ended.
  19. Banana republican! That's a good one.
  20. If you knew me, you would know that I am way too lazy to sit and count all of those words. So I just pasted the two post into word and let it tell me. From what I gather, you want to surrender?
  21. I had totally forgotten about the marathon. Always on, slightly off.
  22. Wow. Just . . . wow. A simple question: "Can you demonstrate to us how both world wars could have been avoided?" You waste 1,453 words to avoid answering the question - while claiming to have answered it. You did list some of the causes of the two world wars, but you don't get credit for that because it didn't answer the question. It is interesting that you made a point to throw in a psychological reference to hate, but neglect the fact that evil can be a driving factor. They are two different things. Back to jihad - there is no way to avoid it. You can fight it
