Thank You very much you answered part of what I was trying to understand!! I wasnt sure if I was coming across properly with my question. My next question is this all three plans I have to chose from are HRA. How does that help with costs? I have never considered this option before so I really dont know how it works.

I know about COBRA and yes its very expensive. What I was told was that I could continue to use the coverage I was using prior to my job loss at the same amount I was paying at that time but that was only good until this December. After that I would need to choose coverage with Blue Cross/Blue Shield at one of the three levels and no other company to chose from. The previous coverage at the previous premium new due to the change in Healthcare laws. That makes sense. The reason I asked about the laws was that was the explanation I was given when I was trying to understand the healthcare coverage offered by this employer. I know that because of the change it allows a person to keep their coverage even with a job change. But does that apply only if you have had no lapse in coverage because of job loss? Dont get me wrong I am grateful to have insurance again. I am just trying to figure out the best option.

I am trying to understand the Health Care laws that has come into effect now that I am working again. The plan I am being offered at work is Blue Cross/Blue Shield at three different levels (Gold/Silver/Bronze)and is an HRA plan. The plan covers a percentage after so much out of pocket. I was also told I could keep my former health care before I lost my job until December. I really want to understand so I can make the best choice for my needs. The one thing I am not understanding is why no co-pays any longer.

Little Hijack...I was on the bus yesterday on Whitlock. There two or three Marietta police officers to stop traffic and help the buses out as quickly as possible. I was waiting in line for the traffic light to change to green so we could get rolling. A man in a car with a 3 yr. old in the back seat proceeds to cuss me about the traffic. I was SOOO mad! I told him talk to the police officer that was that was directing traffic. I am going through Menopause so he is lucky I didnt have a hot flash I might have put that bus in third gear and run over his butt!!

Sorry I wasnt able to get back on yesterday!! We have lived here for 2 years and put up with the HOA nonsense such as they come around with a ruler and measure how tall your grass is and stating I cant plant flowers close to the side of the house and SO much more but this too much. I chose a company that was reasonable. I considered the company that the HOA is trying to force me to use but they were expensive and downright rude just trying to get a quote. I am so ticked off about this!! To the point we arent going to renew our lease. I have to right to choose whatever utilities I like. This is the first and will be the last time I have had an HOA thats for sure!

We rent a house that has an HOA. We got a recently letter stating that Hiram has awarded a particular garbage for their needs and that we need to change to this company. Is that legal? Can we be forced to use a garbage company we really dont care for?

Nope speed hump are 5 times as big as a speed bump. You go fast enough you launch off them...lol Well this topic failed miserably!

I just wanted to wave Hi to everyone and give you an update. I am hanging in there. Still doing the temp job in Marietta. I am hopeful that it will become permanent. Its the waiting for the end of month part that is the hardest when you are broke. My dog is doing much better, He had an abscess from a tooth that he chipped. He is eating and drinking on his own again. I ended up in the ER last week with dehydration for 12 hours. Plus I wanted to thank those that have helped me. It means alot to me. God Bless and HUGS!!!
