  2. Henry Clinton Lawrence and his brother, George Washington Lawrence served in Co.K, 60th GA Calvary and was with Lee's Army at the time of the surrender at Appomattox, 9 Apr 1865. H C's wife, Nancy Ann Chandler had two tales about the Civil War. One. Nancy is said to have taken the cow and horses to the swamp to hide them from the Union Army. Two. Nancy is said to have used Poke Berries to make it appear that she had smallpox when the Union Army came by. Nancy Lawrence Creek is named for her. Henry and Nancy were my Great-G-grandparents. Nathan Jacobs served in Company A, 40th Regiment Infantry (formed in North Paulding and South Bartow Counties) from February 1861 till his death January 30, 1863 at Fairground Hospital in Atlanta, Ga. By volunteering, Nathan recieved $25.00. This unit was part of the force sent to capture Kentucky for the Confederacy. The men ran out of food, clothes, shoes and ammunition. Nathan was wounded in Kentucky, put on a train in Chattanooga and sent to Atlanta. Nathan had $0.25 in his pocket when he died. He was buried at Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta, Ga.   4. You can believe whatever you want to, but without the vaccines diseases have ran rampant at various times. The polio vaccine worked! The smallpox vaccine worked! It is true that not everyone can take every vaccine as each of us is different and our bodies react differently to the vaccines.

  7. I did a test. IE 8 Hovering over My Link showed the url in the bottom left corner of the monitor, as did Netscape and FireFox. Chrome showed External link. You right click My Link, then left click Inspect Element and you will see the link displayed. Are you using Chrome?

  12. The tax was in relation to the weight of the vehicle. The heavier it was or if a truck, the bigger the load it carried the higher the tax. In other words, a Cadddy would pay more than an MG but less than a dump truck.
