I'd say one of two things happened. #1--someone hacked his account. #2--he grew up and stopped drinking the Kool-Aid.

WANNA KNOW HOW MANY PEOPLE SIGNED UP FOR OBAMACARE
Mama Carol replied to lowrider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I'd be willing to bet the number is still six. I have tried daily for 31 days and cannot buy insurance. I have had an account since 9:00 a.m. on day one. -
Mitigating circumstance. Murdered an adult.
-
It IS a capital crime IF there are mitigating circumstances. Simple abuse or neglect is not a mitigating circumstance. Apparently this man had not been charged or convicted previously for abusing his son. Show me where there is a person charged AND convicted AND executed of child murder in the state of Georgia without a mitigating circumstance. There isn't one. There was one man executed a few years back for child murder BUT he had a long list of additional charges including a particularly heinous crime and armed robbery. Wayne Williams was charged with what they were sure they

Looking for Medicare Advantage or Supplement Plan

What about Humana? Is it not available there either? -
If everyone was really lucky, the parents would meet the same fate as the killer of the girl in Woodstock (or was it Canton?).
-
If I'm not mistaken it all goes back to a lawsuit (doesn't everything) and Georgia changed their law to where child murder was not a capital offense. And I ask you this: did Wayne Williams get death? The answer is, no. But he was also never charged with killing a child. He was charged and convicted of killing two ADULTS but he received a life sentence. I was appalled when I found out that killing a child wasn't a capital offense and the worst the killer could receive was life without possibility of parole. There may be a few on death row who killed a child but there were certain

The law may have been changed since I was told that by someone who dealt with children. I was told that it was not a capital offense. Felony, yes. Capital crime NO. FYI, murder is not always a capital crime anyway. Often cold blooded murderers receive life. These are the CAPITAL crimes in Georgia: Under the Georgia scheme (which generally followed the Model Penal Code), after the defendant was convicted of, or pled guilty to, a capital crime (under the first part of the bifurcated trial proceeding),[4] the second part of the bifurcated trial involved an additional hearing a

Me, too. As I told a mutual friend of a murdered friend, the killer will get justice, somewhere, sometime. Maybe not that we know but it will happen.
-
Like I said earlier, murder of a child of a certain age is not a capital offense. Felony, yes. Capital offense, no. And this is unless it has been changed. I was told this several years ago. There is a precious little boy buried in Rosenhaven Cemetery in Douglasville whose mom was convicted of, if I'm not mistaken, manslaughter and yet she truly murdered him in cold blood. Perhaps charges are brought by the DA in each case based on what they think the evidence will prove and not what everyone believes happens. I am one of those who believes murdering a child of any age or c

Apparently it WAS reported. And reported repeatedly to DFCS who dismissed the allegations. To those of you who haven't had to deal with the inept staff at the Cobb DFCS, consider yourself lucky. They will lose papers you placed in their hands, disallow charges of abuse that are obvious and as in this case, repeatedly reported, and pretty much ignore anything they don't want to deal with. I read what the newpaper (or TV station) reported that the man admitted doing. IF he did that and the kid had the injuries that were reported, he was not abused to the point it should cause death.

I'll have chocolate. But I'm 5 1/2 hours away, 6 if there's road construction or cotton or peanut harvest is going on.
-
If I'm not mistaken, and I may be and it may depend on the victim's age, but child murder is not a capital offense. Maybe that is why this man got bond.

When my brother lived in Africa we had a heck of a time trying to find him summer weight shirts for Christmas. His wardrobe was summer attire year round. But because he wore summer clothes all year long, he was replacing them more often. My mom actually bought some shirts in the summer and put them up for his Christmas present that year. She knew she couldn't find any come November or December. I have no problem buying my summer clothes in the fall. I just hope I don't need many winter clothes because I don't have them. I have a few long sleeve shirts but not many. I gave most of th

I was at the local Kmart, one not closing, and they had great deals on summer clothes. I got three tank tops for less than the price of one. They will be great under other shirts this winter and then to wear by themselves when the weather warms up.

Good post!! I kept complaining that I couldn't see the board in school. Finally my parents took me to an eye doctor who did and exam and gave me reading glasses. HELLO!! I wasn't having trouble reading the books but the BOARD. I was a senior in high school before I got the right kind of glasses and it made all the difference in the world in my grades. And she's adorable in those glasses!

I was in the stadium on July 4, 1972 (I think that was the year) when Denny McLain pitched his first game as an Atlanta Brave. There was standing room only that night and all 52,000+ of them were on their feet applauding as he took the mound. I will never have that feeling again. That was passion for sports like I've never seen since. I don't "do" crowds. I get around a dozen people and I start to feel claustrophobic. If I didn't have that problem, I'd love to go to a NASCAR race. At Daytona. But I don't like crowded restaurants. I sure don't like being around 90,000 people.

So many people don't realize that these increases are more than the standard, year-to-year increases. Not just in premiums but also deductibles, co-insurance, co-pays and out of pocket expenses. ALL are going up, across the board. Not going to say which employer it is, but I have a friend whose insurance is going up and who will have to pay a deductible that is far more than in the past before their insurance pays anything. No longer will the insurance pay for their doctor's visits for their chronic condition until the deductible is met. I feel sure their medication will be more as wel

SCAM Wedding Invite E-mail Circulatiing
Mama Carol replied to AustinPlantation's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Nobody I know is getting married. Last wedding I attended was almost 10 years ago. All but one of my nieces and nephews is married and the one niece who is not married will NEVER get married. We really would like her to marry that hunk she has been seeing for 15 years or so but they don't plan to ever tie the knot. Their band kids are all the kids they plan to have.
